This company is a headache to work for! They bought our contract and took over Feb 4. They have messed up everyone’s payroll, whether it’s the rate or the hours. The messed up uniforms... they have lost paperwork. They are making us run all over Memphis in order to get everything they need on us... they don’t answer the office phone nor have someone at the reception desk in the office!

Management is horrible and they would not know what good customer service was if it looked them in the face. I would not recommend my worst enemy to work here unless you just need a paycheck. The payroll department is all messed up!!!I just really don't understand why people have a job to put in hours /do payroll and it doesn't end up right today was payday and I went into the office to get my 1 day check and guess what they didn't have my hours in at all ....and on top of waiting 45mins to an hour I asked to see a supervisor ...and no one never came ...I had to call corporate office in Florida to get everything right...that's soooooo not right

Yeah. Ok so it was 850pm I park in no parking zone rushing in to see my little cousin that's in ICU. The gs4 security guard (female) says you cant park there. Me: I know. her: oh so you are just going to park there anyway. Me: it's ok. I come out at 1020pm and this young "lady" pepper sprayed my car. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he comes down eating chicken and says he's captain petty dn the girl asked you to move you car and you didn't. I was like that doesn't warrant anyone to spray my car. I called the police to do a report. This security company like professionalism, morals and ethics.

I work at g4s currently. They were able to find me a shift for the hours I wanted. Landing a job here is easy, it seems like they take anyone. The orientation is tedious and boring but Dave is a good guy. Certain aspects of the job I dislike. It's like I'm required to be a concierge, a maid, and a security guard all in one. Every shift something small happens like a child wetting the bed, requiring new sheets from the maid closet, help with a shower or tv, and broken hairdryers. The housekeeping staff leaves at night so I'm the one that has to deal with these things. They also put me in to work at 2 different locations, and the on the job training lasted for only one day. Then I was on my own. It's simple but I forgot some locations of the secure trax tags that I need to check in with my phone so they know I'm actually doing patrols.

Some one at work showed me this and I had a laugh, so I have to submit a review. Great company, best paying private security company in the area. When asked I always send people in that direction. I hear they've had a turn over with management but I have fond memories of lower to middle management and can only awesome that whom ever they have in a leadership role most be competent. Not easy to get into and very demanding but well worth it.

Great pay for Armed Guards ($17+) and for CT decent pay for unarmed (up to $14). Very boring work but for $17 standing around isn't that bad. If your looking at jobs that pay $11 and below then your wasting your time, they never last long.

Recomend that this company be crossed off you list to apply for security jobs. If you want to be armed you MUST be former military, police, etc background...

I work here I been here for 7 years the management is good and they will help you become an excellent officer if you want to further your career in this industry. We always hiring and we flexible with your schedule if your in school. Go by there let them know Captain Hairston sent you they will take you through the hiring process step by step. I like my job money is good. When you first start off with no experience in security they pay low after your probation period is over you get a year or more money increases. Hope this helped stop by get yourself a job and know you will always be working as long as you on the schedule Let's Get It.

Every pay period i be short on my check then when i call or text any of the managers they dont reply back to you whatsoever. Then they lie about your wages just so you can get out there and cover they post. Ive been removed from 2 sites just because thee Supervisor over the BOA account doesnt like me for whatever reason. Then then the post i was moved to they new supervisor there that has no security experience whatsoever had me removed again for no particular reason.

G4S is well known for providing superb worldwide security services...which is why I am shocked and surprised by the low quality of management and HR personnel working at the Memphis branch. The HR dept regularly misplaces important paperwork for employees which have their Social Security Numbers on them, some guards must work 16 hour shifts because of supervisors inability to manage schedules. The quality of the guards public relations is unprofessional, some are rude and use profanity. Appearance wise most look well groomed and "squared away", but the public relations is seriously lacking. It may just be the Memphis branch because I've had way better experiences from this company in Nashville, and D.C.

The supervisors are horrible and not one of them came to my post to check up on me or other employees. I was promised a promotion and that never came to be. Do yourself a favor and don't not apply to this company. Unarmed guards are making $13.45, armed are making $14.50. and supervisors badly make as much as armed guards. The area supervisors and management memebers only care about and favor certain officer posts. On top of that they always need someone for overtime because people call out all the time and when you need a day off you are almost never covered. Avoid this company by all means.

J****e is a horrible area manager, no good supervisory skills, not an inkling of what Law Enforcement is, and she should dress more professional. Plus she contradicts herself. M**e B - He is the absolute worst. He acts like he is God's gift to the areas he supervises. The company is just shady there. Leaving ppl on part time when the quit, saying they paid for insurance when they didnt, saying you can have a week of vaca - then taking it away. Just stay far far away!! Especially if they try to put you at AIC- great ppl at that Campus Police Station...but g4s Hartford treats them like crap!!!

Applied online for a Control Center Technician role. They scheduled an interview, I came in for the interview, and I get told the HR manager and no certified interviewers were there. They said call back next week, I called for 4 days straight and nothing. Absolute disaster in management.

This Place will not hire you if you dont have reliable transport. We have a good bus system, uber , lyft so we are able to get to point A to B. They dont care about experience they want people who work when they say, not youre sechdule. The reviews that say they go by youre time is bias and untrue. In order to make it pass interview you need a drivers license. You don't need a gaurd card,excellent work ethics/experience, drug-free and reliability. This Place needs some diversity.

This area G4S has to be the most incompetent, unprofessional and racist organization I have ever come across in my entire life. If you are reading this review, I warn you to either quit, resign or never come back again. They donot follow proper protocol and they are extremely set in their bigotry. I use to work for them a while back and being fired is the best thing they could've done because now I work for tsa security part time and improcess inmates for the sheriffs department of New York full time. I hope the state board shuts this facility down or atleast replaces management so all of its employees get treated fairly.
