Following Right sided breast cancer with surgery in 12/16 followed with radiation in 1/17 and 2/17; breast size change is often a result of radiation. In 3/18 I requested a consultation with Dr. Doubek, and had a successful Left breast reduction to adapt to the Right radiated breast size. Dr. Doubek and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in assisting a patient with the procedure from beginning to end. I am highly satisfied with the outcome! 05/04/2018: This is a followup since my surgery. Since my Left breast reduction surgery of 3/15/2018, I hit a "minor bump in the road". If you can survive breast cancer you can understand my bump is indeed "minor" in comparison! I'm a retired RN and as things happen that is no one's fault or cause...things just happen! I developed a clot in the tissue, and an infection which I treated under the direction of Dr. Doubek and his super caring and professional staff. I am happy to say I am on the road to full recovery and healing without any further surgical intervention!! I am very thankful things have gone so well and have been followed on a weekly basis to ensure I was going in the right direction. Would I do this again? Absolutely without hesitation! It's nice to have breasts the same size and shape...and shoulders without creases from bra straps digging in and a very sore back!! It's great!!!
