I had such a great experience at LasikPlus when it came to the consultation and surgery. The entire staff is so nice, friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to answer all of my questions. I felt so comfortable there. The whole procedure/surgery took about 5 minutes and there was no pain involved. There is pressure but it only lasts a few seconds for each eye. The transformation happened automatically upon completion. I just had a little bit of haziness and blurred vision which is to be expected right after this procedure is done. It was like a miracle!! It is great to wake up with 20/20 and not deal with cumbersome contacts and glasses, which do add up to a lot of money over the years. If you are on the fence about getting this done, I say go for it! It is something that I should have done a long time ago and will recommend it to all family members and friends.

Contact users beware. I could see very crisp with my contacts and after surgery, although I can see 20/20 OVERALL, my right eye is seeing 20/30. With my left eye at 20/15, this causes a distortion (especially at night). I ended up buying glasses as they cannot redo my right eye. I may end up trying contacts again, but from my view point, wasn't worth all the money I paid.

I had my surgery yesterday, and I'm absolutely amazed by the results! I'm seeing 20/15 with both eyes and 20/20 with each eye individually. The team at Lasik Plus is fabulous. Before my surgery, I was quite nervous but Dr. Rom quickly put my mind to ease. He discussed the procedure with me beforehand and talked me through it while it occurred. He has an incredibly calming presence. The entire staff is support as well. The procedure is completely painless. I was nervous about how bad my eyes would feel after the numbing drops wore off but it wasn't terrible. There was discomfort but you're sleeping or resting your eyes during that time for 4-6 hours. Afterwards, you feel pretty good and can definitely function. Today, I feel great. This surgery was worth every penny, and I still can't believe that I woke up able to see my alarm clock crystal clear!

They do really good work because my eyes were terrible when I went it in, came out with eyesight a little better than 20/20 because of my CDL license! Other than that, it took about a week before my eyes lost the fuzzies and itches. But all is good now, thank you Lasik Plus! One thing that is a fact is the money you could save if you switch to Lasik.

Never got there. I took a wrong turn on the way to my eye exam and called the office for directions from my then current location. I spent 12 minutes on the phone and was put on hold 3 times. For whatever reason, the woman on the phone was unable or unwilling to type the address into google or map quest, even though I asked her to do this. She didn't understand where I was or how to get from there to her location, and for whatever utterly baffling reason, she wouldn't simply type my location into her computer and get a map. None of the three times I was put on hold led to any increase in her comprehension. After she came back from the third hold, she suggested I use my phone GPS. Honestly, why would I be calling if I had that? At that point I was sufficiently annoyed and disgusted to cancel the appointment. I wanted to use this company because they have the best tech, but I won't trust my eyes to a place that has customer service like that. I wasted two hours of my day.

I had my Lasik procedure back in September, and only waited this long to review LASIK Plus just any case there were any hidden side effects or problems with all of the post-op visits. Well, here we are about two months later and I would highly recommend LASIK plus to anyone considering the procedure. My vision is actually better than 20/20 and I haven't had any side effects. My eyes were a bit dry the first week, but I used all of the drops that were sent home with me and haven't had any issues. Also, don't be afraid of the procedure. I was in the laser suite for at the very most 7 minutes. You really don't feel anything. I was mostly apprehensive about being able to see anything coming towards my eye, like the tool used to lift the flap. But when they use the first laser to make the flap, it gets just blurry enough that you can't see anything disturbing. Don't wait. Get it done today.

The consultation was fast and easy. They did some Imaging studies to determine the health of my eyes and my cornea, and use that information to determine the correct procedure for me. They answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and counseled me through the process and expectations. They had drinks and snacks available for preop patients. In addition to Xanax they provided I also got some Tylenol pm which helped me sleep through the night. The whole actual procedure was maybe 5 minutes long. I was pretty anxious but Dr. Rom talked me through it and it was over before I knew it. I also got a great discount for being in the medical field.

I had my PRK procedure performed here. The nurse receptionists are super friendly, helpful and will answer any questions or fears you might have. There's two docs, one of whom you'll only see on surgery day (Dr Rom). The other doc, Dr Manly, is who you'll have most of your interactions with. She is very informative, and will definitely put all your worries at ease. I could not recommend this center more to get your vision corrected.

Blown away by how quick and efficient the whole process was. Amy and Steffi were AWESOME!! The first 4-6 hrs after the numbing drops wore off were not very pleasant, but a necessary step to corrected vision. The total cost for Lasik was certainly justified. Overall my vision went from 20/200 to 20/15! If you have the means to afford the operation LasikPlus has to be the top choice to get it done.

I have only been for my consultation, I am scheduled to have the procedure in a couple weeks. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Dr. Manly spent time with me and made sure all my questions were answered. I will update my review after the procedure itself. I had my procedure last Friday 01/25/19. And I feel like a whole new person. I LOVE waking up in the morning and being able to see as soon as I open my eyes. No fumbling for glasses or having my eyes be so dry I can hardly pry them open! My vision was -7.5 in each eye - legally blind. At my post operative exam I was seeing 20/15. I NEVER thought my vision would be able to be this good. I was hoping for enough of an improvement that I could wear cute glasses and not have people say "you know, you can get those ultra thin lenses" and I would answer "THESE ARE THE ULTRA THIN LENSES!" Everyone at the office was friendly, helpful and so kind. It's hard for me to find the words to convey how happy I am. I cannot recommend the procedure and this office in particular enough. I will say that I didn't try any other office. After my consultation I didn't feel like I needed to. If you have any questions about the procedure and about my experience, please reply to this post and I will answer them.

Amazing facility! Friendly staff! I had such a great experience with lasik. It took less than 4 min for the surgery to happen and the doctor talks you through each part and is very nice. Now I can see 20/15! That’s pretty amazing! I was worried about the cost of it but they have a payment plan and it put me at ease, plus the day of consultation (which is free) they tell you how much it’ll be and show you the payment plans. They’re not pushy either which I like so overall it was just a great experience and I can see again! It’s worth a consultation!!

The Best Decision I ever made!!! I have been wanting to get Lasik for a few years now but was nervous. I finally mustarded up enough courage to do so. Now Im mad at myself for waiting so long. Excellent staff. I went for a consultation on a Saturday, and ended up having the procedure that Thursday. They made me feel confident and reassured this was a smart decision. The procedure was pretty easy. The experience after I was finished was very surreal. I lifetime of glasses, and now I could see. Just Wow!! This entire experience exceeded my exceptions by FAR! The entire staff is amazing!! A little over a week ago I had my lasik procedure done at Lasik Plus and I have never, ever been more satisfied with the outcome. Finally, after years of dealing with the hassle of glasses, contact lenses, and worrying about my eye's overall health, my vision has been corrected, and I owe a huge THANKS to Dr. Rom and his staff. Not only are Dr. Rom and his team top-notch professionals in their field, but each of them truly set out to make the patient experience the very best it can possibly be; Welcoming and friendly- but more importantly- confident of their skills and knowledgeable within every aspect of the procedure (believe me, I had many questions and each one was answered top to bottom.) From consultation, to the actual surgery a day later, I had no hesitation on their abilities, and the results 100% show. Now, i'm sure everyone has the question of "Did it hurt?" - while every patient's eyes are different, in my experience, the procedure from start to finish for both of my eyes (including prep) was 5 minutes. Quick, painless, actually quite relaxing to be honest. You're awake the whole time, and you barely feel a thing. Recovery-wise, very very fast. Eye drops, vitamins, and rest. 12 hrs later I was seeing clearly, and 24 hrs even better. 2 weeks later, I forget that I ever wore glasses or had a vision problem in the first place (and I had astigmatisms in both eyes!) Overall, cannot say enough how happy I am of my decision to get lasik done, and cannot recommend Dr. Rom and his staff at Lasik Plus more!

I’ve worn glasses since middle school and I’ve always heard about getting Lasik. Well, I finally did it and I couldn’t be more happy. All the women there are extremely nice, very helpful, and just a pleasure to work with. I randomly called one day and set up an appointment, which was just a breeze. Meeting with the women for the first time felt so relaxing and reassuring. They take the time to make sure you understand what the procedure is about and they can answer any questions you have. Meeting with Doc. Rom was such a great time. Very nice to speak to. Extremely knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor... I can SEE why a lot of people go to him! While getting the Lasik done, Doc. Rom and the lovely ladies talk to you to make you feel comfortable. This was truly the best experience I’ve ever encountered with such a serious surgery. Oh, and did I mention that I’m currently seeing 20/15 just ONE day after surgery!!!!??? This is the best investment I’ve made. And to really personally explain, I work a part time job and Lasik Plus still made it AFFORDABLE for me! Setting up monthly payments took just as much time as getting my eyes fixed. Less than 5 minutes! You will not be disappointed. Trust Doc. Rom! He really knows!!

My experience was awsome start to finish! The team at LasikPlus made me feel like family. If you are worried about getting LASIK, Don't. I got my LASIK on July 3, 2019. Day after surgery and was so excited to wakeup and read the TV guide without my glasses!! The entire experience was wonderful. From the consult to the surgery procedure the staff was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Immediately following the surgery my eyes did extremely water, my eye lids felt heavy and had a slight burning sensation. Make sure you follow through with a nap as soon as you get home, it makes a world of a difference. The few hours of slight irritation was totally worth waking up contact and glasses free!!!

Everyone in the office constantly asks if you have questions so your given multiple opportunities to cover everything. I was nervous on my surgery day and they could not have been more welcoming. As I walked in to see them for only the second time over a month after my first visit, they greeted me by name which made me feel like part of the family. This did wonders to ease my nervousness. Walking in and out the surgery room took maybe 15-20 minutes from start to finish. I could not be happier. I would highly recommend them. If I had to give one negative about my experience it would be that it was extremely cold outside the day of my surgery. I had an average experience with my consultation. When I showed up for the consult I was asked if I was wearing my contacts. I said yes and asked if that was okay and the lady responded with “well I guess it’s gonna have to be” in a real sarcastic/annoyed tone. I had PRK done about a month ago and everything has gone perfectly. They told me the second day after the surgery would be the worst and it was, but nothing unbearable. In the past, I remember having the opinion "why would someone "take a risk" and get LASIK? Glasses work perfectly fine!" "I've worn glasses for 20 years, why change now?" Well, 3 months ago, I decided I wanted some change in my life by getting the surgery. I just finished my 3-month follow up, and as someone who now has 20/15 vision, my only regret is not getting the surgery done sooner. The team at LasikPlus on McKnight Rd is top notch. Dr. Manley and Dr. Rom have been excellent doctors in my experience with them. LASIK seems to have advanced quite a bit in the last 20 years. After my experience, if anyone is "on the fence" about getting the surgery done, I will confidently say this experience is one of those "do it, it will change your life" type of things. You don't even know you don't know what rain looks like until you "get your eyes fixed." (And many other common daily experiences that suddenly are extraordinary when you can see them clearly). I do have some very minor issues with "halos" at night that are still lingering since the surgery, but it is becoming less noticeable the longer my body heals post surgery. Even if the halos at night don't go away 100%, I still would say the pros of getting the surgery outweigh that con. I hope this review helps someone in deciding if LASIK is something they want to do!

This is day 2 and so far so good. I had PRK done and still blurry but that is to be expected. It's not worse than when I didn't wear my glasses. I imagined me walking around like Mr. Magoo. Dr. Rom did my surgery and he was very gentle and told me everything he was doing. They gave me a stuffed eyeball to squeeze during the surgery and I squeezed it so hard I could have made a diamond. It didn't hurt at all and I'm a chicken. I was ordered something for my nervousness and that helped tremendously. I will give an update in a few weeks but right now I am happy with my decision.

Eyeglasses have been a necessary part of my life since I was in 4th grade. I am 31 years old and have thought about looking into Lasik for several years, however, like most people, the idea of having surgery on my eyes was an intimidating and scary concept. One day, I woke up and decided I needed to start living a better life, stop putting this off, take the first step and schedule the consultation. At the consultation, I met Liarose. We went through all of the tests together to see if my eyes were good candidates for Lasik. She made the experience a lot of fun! She quickly earned my trust through talk of Star Trek, Hockey and Zombie Apocalypses. Near the end of our consultation, she told me “I’ll be right there with you during the procedure.” — this stayed with me. Liarose’s glowing confidence in Dr. Rom and genuine kindness towards patients made this an easy decision for me. The next day, I excitedly called in to schedule my surgery that Friday! Before the procedure, you have the choice of taking valium. I did not take a valium, but instead went on Instagram to look at photos of baby hippos and and rescue dogs on my phone to help calm my nerves. And then it was my turn. I go into the operating room. There was Dr. Rom and Liarose (as promised) :) waiting to give me new eyes. The surgery was 100% painless and over very quickly. It’s been 48 hours since the surgery and my vision is 20/15 (incredible). The side-effects are as expected — some blurriness / light-sensitivity / halos that will go away through the healing process. I cannot fully express the level of gratitude that I feel is due for what they have given to me. Thank you Lasik. Thank you Dr. Rom. Thank you Liarose. You have given me a better life. Thank you!

I went from a -5 prescription to 20/15 Vision overnight! I was extremely nervous about the whole procedure, but was ready for my sight to be normal. I had consultations at two different facilities in the area, but chose LasikPlus because of their hospitality. It’s a clean and large facility with an area to charge your cellphone as well as beverages and snacks. I have a difficult name to pronounce and Shannon was the only person I told how to say it. Every person I interacted with at LasikPlus knew the correct pronunciation of my name without me having to tell them which speaks volumes to their communication skills throughout the office unlike the other place I visited. They also call in your prescriptions for you and you’re not required to put any money down until the day of your surgery. As far as the surgery goes, it was quick and painless. I felt a bit of pressure for about 20 seconds on each eye. As soon as my ride home arrived, I went straight to bed. My surgery was at around 7 pm yesterday and when I woke up around 3 am I could see clearly. I was able to drive myself home from my follow up appointment which is amazing to me! It’s also really cool that the staff films the procedure, so you can watch it later. I am extremely pleased with everything and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner! Every appointment I had was on time and on surgery day, they were so efficient that I did not even have time to get nervous. Extremely happy with the results, and the staff was professional and proficient. The only thing I would change would be the pre-op sedation/anxiolytic routine. I was offered 10 mg of oral Valium about 15 min before the surgery, which meant it had not kicked in at all before the surgery actually happened (I think they really just want it on board so you'll go sleep through the pain and tearing that will follow 4-6 hours post-op). I was freaked out and shaking like a leaf during the surgery (they're super nice but it's still scary) and still feel kind of traumatized. I'm told they don't give an outpatient Rx for Valium to take before you head in for surgery because you can't sign legally binding paperwork (you have to sign forms when you arrive) under the influence of drugs. Maybe sign the paperwork at the pre-op? Or come in for an additional appt just to sign papers? Aside from this, my experience was primo, should've done it years ago, and I'm recommending everybody I talk to.
