This whole office is fantastic! Beginning with scheduling with Linda - who is excellent with the ultimate 'can do/will do' gusto - especially when it comes to coordinating Dr. Barad's busy schedule with the limitations in mine. That is the most important first step. Then with Dr. Barad - who has a great eye and manifests her artistry beyond expectations. I have been doing Botox since 1997 and lip fillers for 8 years. Recently expanding filler to other facial creases - and - Dr. Barad has given me the most natural and pretty appearance than I have had - really before. For example, with this last time I had my lips done (Juvederm - I battle upper lip wrinkles from previous smoking) she placed a bit (2 areas) vertically in my upper lip extending from the upper lip points: I had never had this done before (or even knew about it) and must admit, the initial swelling had me a bit scared.......but just a few 3-4 days later, when the swelling and small bruising had resolved, I could not believe how pretty and natural my mouth looked. I tend to go 'ducky' with upper lip injections since I lack upper lip 'kissable lip surface', but that little trick she did really really gave me more lip surface without sticking out (ducky). All these years I just thought I had to be ducky to battle those wrinkles - and I was so wrong. Also, my new thing is IPL. After sun worshipping, surfing, etc for all of my life, I really had a lot of sun spots. Also, I was a picker. With every sunspot or healed boo boo, I had hyperpigmentation. IPL is wonderful for not only zapping those, but also diminishing broken/enlarged/superficial capillaries - which make my face red in all of the wrong places. IPL (they have a new machine) is great for both of those in one swoop. And Jennifer - who performs the procedure - is absolutely fantastic: fun, smart, explains all, answers all of my crazy questions, and just loves what she does - and really makes the experience something to look forward to - I mean it, and so now I have to end this review to get in my car and drive 4 hours from my home in central PA to make it to my 1:00 appt! I used to live in PIttsburgh, and now that I have moved, I still won't go anywhere else.

The staff here are so kind and welcoming, they got to me right on time and my procedure was fast and effective! I was also super impressed with the range of services they offer and how up to date their equipment is. One session with Shana and I'm already seeing better results than I did after 10+ sessions at other places. Highly recommended!

I had been following several skin centers in Pittsburgh for the past year, and have even had consultations at a few of them. I was quite nervous, as this was my first time with any type of cosmetic procedure, and I wanted to do my research! My consultation with Dr. Barad was the first time I wasn’t feeling nervous. Her facilities are top-notch (and I’ve seen quite a few) and her receptionist is great—she knew exactly who I was and what I was there for (I usually got the, “wait, who? At what time?” So that was much appreciated! Thank you!) I was right on time and so were they—I’ve never been in the waiting room in excess of 3-5 minutes. Dr. Barad’s qualifications speak for themselves and her bedside manner put me at ease—enough so that I was comfortable moving forward with the procedure that day. I’m obviously very happy with the results, and am looking forward to returning for a new skin care regiment. Dr. Barad was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. She was able to identify skin issues that dermatologists couldn’t even answer for me. I never felt rushed or pressured to move forward…the entire atmosphere made me feel comfortable and confident. Dr. Barad suggests a specific pre-treatment regime to prevent bruising from facial fillers. Although I was nervous, I followed her recommendations precisely. I am so happy that I did – I was able to leave her office 10 minutes after my injections without any bruising or embarrassment. I am so happy with the results! I highly recommend Dr. Barad and will definitely go back for follow-up treatments.

I've been a patient of Dr. Roxana Barad for more than 10 years. She is intelligent, well-qualified, and exceptionally talented. I both respect and trust Dr Barad. Her insight and judgement are excellent. Plus, she's a practicing ophthalmologist, and eye safety is essential to her. Dr. Barad is polite and professional. She doesn't do much chit chatting in the treatment room. Rather, she's intensely concentrating on your face/skin along with with specialized photos of your face/skin. She reminds me of a professional tennis player going through the mental process of visualizing each step in the serve before executing the game winning ace. And I've only seen her serve aces. She simply won't do a treatment that would yield an unsuccessful or harmful outcome, no matter how much a patient wants it or would pay for it. Her staff, place, and facilities are all great, great, great. Actually, the staff are super great.

I have been bothered by my acne and facial hair for all of my life. Because I am a physician and leery about aggressive beauty treatments, I have been wearing make up for the last 15 years to hide this problem. After meeting Dr. Barad and talking to her about my problems and discovering all the scientific reasons to do a specific treatment, I knew that I was in good hands. After only 3 laser treatments for acne and 2 for hair removal (that´s all the time I had in Pittsburgh) my skin is much brighter, less greasy and looks so clean that I don´t need make up every day. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! For many reasons, We arrived early for an appointment and had to wait 40 minutes after the appointment time in the thrown together, classless waiting room. As we were sitting in the we were looking at the flip books on the table, which were VERY scary. The work Roxana has done is horrible. You can see for yourself. The only decent pictures towards the end of the book were the pictures printed out from the restlyne website and has there logo on there. Talk about art forgeries, and false advertisement. Look at the books on the table. YIKES. Her actual work is terrible. We had our doubts by the pictures. There is a reason that the fillers, are cheaper here then anywhere. NO ONE COMES HERE. Ghost town!! Obviously by what we seen from the books, who would come back? When we called and made appointments for consultations, we said we were looking to get Radiesse in our cheeks, where now a days ANY AND EVERY UP TO DATE CURRENT TOP MEDICAL SPAS in PA, NYC and L.A. recommend Radiesse over Sculptra. ( google it, the top doctors from all over prefer Radiesse in the cheeks vs Scultpra) Soon the Best places will start using new product from Allergan called Voluma will be available very soon. I am very well traveled and have lived in L.A. and NYC, where this is all very popular. We get called into a dirty room and she sits down and immediately gives gives and attitude and is very angry. Saying she will not do radiesse, she wants to do juvederm. Thats what our appointment was confirmed for. We were very interested and curious on why. I asked her why sweetly and curious on her thoughts, she yells we are not there for a consult . She had an nasty mean attitude as she entered the room and during the whole conversation, this she-devil/ the most unprofessional angry old woman every. We stated clearly she is angry for no reason, and answering questions so rudely. It was a bit crazy, we did not trust someone so angry, full of an attitude and mentally unstable. Like asking questions about different products that will go into our face for a long time was some kind of bother. We decided to leave because you can not trust someone so angry and hostile and mess up a face, plus her work was terrible as we seen in the waiting room. If anyone ever goes there you will see she is VERY unprofessional, rude, and just complete trash. There are a million better places out there, with professional, higher class establishments, workers, and areas. This is bottom of the barrel. The brunette monster, is terribly grotesque on the outside as well as the inside and it shows. Save your money and treat yourself to a fabulous establishment, not this trash ball place!!

I had a wonderful experience at the Aesthetic Skin and Laser Center. I had slim liposuction on my abdomen and flanks. Dr. Barad did an excellent job and I couldn't be happier with the results. The staff was professional and friendly. Rosemary performed viora skin tightening after my slim liposuction and did an excellent job. First, I would like to thank Galdermia and Dr. Barad for giving me the opportunity to be part of this life changing experience. Since my injections, my self confidence has improved so much. When I was 8yrs old, I was involved in a motorcycle accident that caused significant damage, including tissue loss and nerve injury. At 42, I had premature sagging and lines around my eyes and between my eyebrows. People would always ask me, "Are you mad," or "What's wrong?"
