My name is Carmen, and I live in Lucketts, Virginia. Back in May of 2016 I had an accident with our dog, a feisty Jack Russell Terrier. The dog leaped up and bit me on the center of my upper lip, causing the skin to rip open. I was very upset and scared, and I was also concerned that my face would be permanently disfigured for the rest of my life. My husband John took me that Sunday afternoon to the Emergency room of Loudoun Hospital. After waiting one hour, the nurse cleaned my lip and gave me a tetanus injection. Then they told me there was no surgeon that evening, so a nurse practitioner would do the stitches on my lip. I was very worried, so I asked for a plastic surgeon, and they said that was impossible, because the only one available was out of the office that day. However, they said they would try to reach him. They did call him, and Dr. PHILLIP CHANG came to treat me after an hour. I am grateful for life to him, not only because he really is a magician the way that he stitched me, also the fact that he offered to come to the hospital on Sunday on his weekend evening without even knowing me. He treated me with kindness and great professionalism and care. He calmed my nerves and was all about optimism from the start. He assured me that, by using a proper method, nearly all of my injury would not be visible because of his experience in treating similar cases. He sewed the wound carefully, and then treated me so well that there is almost no evidence of the injury. I highly recommend DR. PHILLIP CHANG for such an injury. It is at this same time last year that I fell from the ladder that I was working on onto the ladder itself, seriously cutting my face from my chin to my forehead. Being in a fairly remote area, despite the fact that I was bleeding profusely, I decided to drive myself the ten miles to the hospital. I remember repeating out loud "Lord get me there", "Lord Get me there" I got there although at one point I saw a police car on the side of the road and considered pulling over to ask for help. As a side note, the emergency room personnel were quite surprised that I drove myself to the hospital. However, I don't think they would have high fived me. My guess is that they thought it pretty moronic. I digress. I did go to the head of the line in the ER, was hyperventilating badly but after some drugs was able to settle down and relax as the pain lessened. And it was pretty painful too. No broken jaw, no broken teeth, a slight fracture in my eye socket but not too bad off. However, certainly many stitches would be required. And in walked this guy in jeans, a black T-shirt and sneakers, Phillip Chang, plastic surgeon. My good fortune. After some back and forth banter and an analysis of the face, and more than 50 stitches later, I was sewed up and on my way home. Can't say I was looking as good as new but in a few weeks it was remarkable at how well my face looked. And now a year later, I can tell you that you have to look very hard to find evidence of the cut. I am so impressed with his "craftsmanship". I now know how fortunate I was that Dr. Chang was in the building. And his reputation precedes him. I am now aware of some of my friends who have used Dr. Chang for their cosmetic surgeries and I can tell you the results are very good. My daughter has also been one of his patients for the Laser treatments and I know that she and I are very pleased with the results. I don't believe that you would be disappointed using his talents.

After 3 consultations with other surgeons a friend recommended Dr. Chang. After meeting with him I immediately knew he was the right one. First of all, Dr. Chang did my breast augmentation surgery and I love it! Not only is he knowledgeable of his craft but he is constantly learning the newest procedures and trends. If he thinks a trend doesn’t really work, he will let you know. It’s not every day you get a plastic surgeon talking you out of doing a procedure and giving him money when he knows it doesn’t work. That’s the kind of person and surgeon Dr. Chang is. His staff are amazing, friendly, professional, helpful and also good at what they do. He isn’t known for being the best plastic surgeon in the area for no reason! I have also had Botox and laser hair removal done at Aesthetica, And have been equally happy with those procedures as well! I had another excellent surgery result with Dr. Chang. Ten years ago he did a mommy makeup over on me, and I was thrilled with the results. In April I had face surgery (mini facelift, neck lift, upper eyelids and fat transfer). The results at 3 months look great. Very natural. I still look like myself... only 10 years younger! I had never heard of fat transfer, but that ended up being the change I like the most. My face didn't have a lot of sagging. It was mostly long and drawn out due to loss of volume in my cheeks. Dr. Change fixed all of that. My friends and work colleagues think I lost some weight, or got a new haircut, or took a vacation. The truth is it was all Dr. Chang's excellent surgery skills. You won't be disappointed, and his staff is wonderful too.

Dr. Chang is a true professional. He and and his staff made me feel comfortable through the process. I visited his office today for a IIPL, and will continue to visit them for any future service.

It's been over a year and a half since I've been going to Dr. Chang's office, I drive an hour just to get here (although I know some drive three hours or more to see him!). I did a lot of research to find a board certified plastic surgeon in the area with a solid and reputable background. Throughout my visits, he's been incredibly kind and taken the time to listen to my never ending list of questions. There are a lot of doctors that push services that you don't need just for money but he'll be transparent to tell you exactly what he feels you'll need in order to gain improvement and will work with you to see what could be the best outcome. You can also text or email him directly after any invasive procedures if you have any questions/concerns instead of waiting for a follow up. I also don't want to forget the rest of the staff - everyone from the receptionists and nurses have been very gracious, patient and accommodating to my needs but I also want to mention Melanie whose an RN at Dr. Chang's office. She has superb bed side skills and truly makes you feel at ease when you're speaking with her. I've probably annoyed her with a million questions and emails but she's still been stellar. I highly recommend her for any non-surgical procedures. They have a few videos on their website and youtube as well so you have an idea of who they are and the procedures they perform if you want to get a better idea yourself but I definitely recommend them, they're awesome.

After having children, I decided to have a full abdominoplasty to repair my stomach muscles from a diastsis recti, umbilical hernia and a ventral hernia. Dr Chang is an amazing surgeon . The first time I saw him was after I had my daughter . I was able to get liposuction . I visited about 4 doctor before him in my area . Some had a bad vibe with they're expirance . One told me he advice me to wait till I finished having kids and do the tummy tuck with it in the future . One doctor wouldn't even talk to me because I had my daughter 7 month ago and wanted me to wait longer .even though I was back to prepreganant weight and didn't stretch much . I was very careful to not gain to much weight during pregnancy so I knew I'd be fine . Dr Chang told me I could get it done after waiting 9 month of having my baby , and the result were amazing !! I didn't sag I had my dream body . A better body then before I had my baby . It look incredible I loved it !! I think his judgement is good in weather to do a surgery or not . He is skilled and experience and he's prices reasonable for he's experience and work . And he has options as well with Lipo that other doctors won't give . After, I got preganant again and had my son . Again I went back for a tummy tuck now that I'm done having kids. Thanks to dr.chang I have the body of my dreams and I look amazing . His work looks very natural but my abdomanol is completely flat . Nobody knows unless I tell them I had things done . He is worth the money and he is worth visiting . I would have paid 15,000 for a tummy tuck in Reston with a few sections of Lipo but with Chang I paid 10,000 and that includes hospital and anestisia . Not to mention he is an amazing person and cares deeply about he's clients . According to the nurse in the hospital he is a good man as well, and she claims that "they don't make them like that anymore " . Lol you are in good hands if you choose dr. Chang as your doctor !! And I can garuntee you will go under with out geting anxious because he is skilled , experienced , and a good person who will take care of you because he cares !! I trust him w my life !!! And recommend family and loved ones to see him !

It is my pleasure to leave Dr. Chang and his staff a 5-star review. I recently found a lump in my chest that was diagnosed as only a skin cyst. I wanted it removed, but was nervous about the scarring because my skin has never healed well from previous surgeries. I definitely chose the right doctor to remove the cyst because Dr. Chang took the extra time to work through a very small incision. His suturing was removed in a matter of days and after about 3 weeks, the incision has healed well beyond my expectations. The procedure itself was easier than expected as his table side demeanor was very comforting throughout the operation and he answered my questions. Never wrote a review before, but was compelled to write one after my experience as a patient of Dr. Chang. When you are considering surgery it is very important not only to look at the surgeon’s credentials but also what patients are saying about their experiences. Dr. Chang is not only a first class plastic surgeon; he is very honest and very supportive just like his staff members. I have long considered getting a mammoplasty (breast reduction). I did not think I could not afford it. I went in for a free consultation. I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Chang took the time to examine me first to see if I was a candidate. He told me to consider going through my insurance company because he thought it was medically necessary (Honest). He wrote a letter on my behalf, the insurance company did not approve me. Dr. Chang and Karen his assistant persisted. He felt it was a medical issue not a cosmetic one and it should be approved. They wrote letters again, included pictures, called etc. To my amazement I was approved YES YES!!!!! Because they persisted and did not give up. I could not believe it. I just had my surgery 10 days ago. Everything went well. I am home recovering and have already had 2 follow-up visits. I am so grateful to Dr. Chang and his staff.
