I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Drew Varano, his staff and my experience at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. I have only been to their Mst nw location, and the staff is very personable and friendly. I like Dr Varano's straight forward manner of communicating and his general, friendly demeanor. I think he does a good job of setting you up with realistic and feasible expectations. Overall, I highly recommend Dr Varano, his staff, and the procedures they offer!

The office is very kept and comfortable. It felt private, too, which I found reassuring with the types of procedures that are available. The staff were always professional and appointments were on-time. I think the longest I ever waited was an extra five minutes. The appointment itself was comfortable, although sometimes it felt that the staff would rush through the appointment, which was somewhat disappointing because I would have liked to see more reduction that may have been possible if they had gone slower. Overall, though, I would recommend this office!

I had mircrodermabrassion done here. The procedure itself was fine but WOW is the front desk staff RUDE. I just called to reschedule and got attitude, sass and annoyance for calling to reschedule. I thought I was being polite by calling days in advance. The person who answered the phone got super short with me while we were going through options and coordinating calendar. This may not be important to you, but wanted to make people aware of my experience.

From start to finish, I had a great experience. The office manager/medical assistant, emmanuelle is nice and professional. I had smart lipo performed by Dr. Varano. The procedure went well. It was actually pretty painless. I was awake the entire time. I am pleased with the results so far. I will definitely go back for additional procedures. I also had a fraxel resurfacing treatment. Allison, the medical assistant performed it. Best results. I love this place.

I found this facility through a Groupon. Nice office and staff were flexible about rescheduling when I arrived late to my first appointment. Alma laser was not too painful, though this was a refresh for me, not a first treatment in that area. The person who used the laser had three years of experience. It has been less than a week since my first treatment so I can't rate the final results--otherwise I'd rate the place five stars.

I had the ThermiVA procedure. After the first treatment, I thought I felt a difference. Then the following treatments, I did not. I mentioned this each time to my medical technician, but I was told to wait. It has been well over a year and I can tell you that the procedure did not work. Of course, there is no guarantee or refund, however, it would have been nice if someone had contacted me as a follow up to my concern. I would not waste your money as it is expensive and there is No guarantee or concern from the Dr/Office.

It was a very nice experience. Dr Varano was very professional and limited to do the procedure. The staff were very kind. They explained me everything before the surgery and went to the point. The whole process was very quick like 30 min, it was painful putting the anestesia though but nothing you can not handle, after that you dont feel anything. The recovery is fast, i was able to take a plane same day back home. Its not even a week but so far i can see the results and i'm happy with them.

The staff is professional, and my tattoo removal technician is great. She's kind and patient does her best chat me up in order to help me through the process during each appointment. I love that this practice offers prescription strength numbing ointment for tattoo removals, very considerate. I just wish they had the cooling machine as well, but the clean office, great pricing and prime DC location (lots of street parking surrounds the building) keeps me coming back!

Very accessible location in DC. I live in Maryland and commute to DC via the metro for all of my appointments, the walk from the metro stop is smooth. I'm normally in and out in less than 15 minutes, that's truly unheard of, and it doesn't matter what time of day or day of the week. Their scheduling is on point because I have never waited much pass my scheduled appt. to be seen. The woman who usually works the front is very personable and nice; you can tell even when she's having maybe a difficult day that she doesn't let it effect her interactions with customers...professionalism at it's finest. Only thing is that when it comes to calling in for scheduling appointments, the line can be busy at times so you may have to call a few times before getting through.

A few things: 1. The doctor is great and most of the staff is great. There is one woman who sits at the front desk that is super nice, but she always asks me questions that she should be able to glean from my record like, which follow up in this for you? When did you have your procedure? 2. I had liposuction to my arms and that worked very well. I do have excess skin that I am trying to get rid of, but the doctor did remove the fat as claimed. 3. I had conturing/liposuction to my upper stomach, lower stomach, and flanks. This is NOT the doctor to go to for conturing of these areas. My body is now shaped in a way that is not conducive to my body type and I actually now require more work in just my upper and lower stomach, because of the horrible conturing. My flanks are perfect, but now my upper and lower stomach appear bigger because so much was taken from my flanks. Now, when I eat, I look like I ingested a basketball; I look pregnant, meaning small waist and huge stomach. When you get liposuction, you want a doctor who is paying attention to how the removal of fat will impact the look of other parts of your body. I didn't get that here. In conclusion, while the staff are super nice and my arms look great, my mid section, which was the main reason I received this procedure actually has my body looking worse than it did when I came in.

Medical Cosmetic Enhancements was the perfect choice to get my laser liposuction. I was not very knowledgeable about the process which made me feel a bit uneasy. However, Dr. V. and his staff were great! They educated me on the process and answered all of my questions and it made me feel very confident about the procedure. Furthermore, the procedure was a breeze. They made me feel comfortable in the surgical room too and the pain I endured during the actual procedure was minimal. After, I received the local anesthesia I barely felt a thing. And, the results are amazing! I had MiraDry to reduce the sweat and odor under my arms. Needles make me really nervous, but the staff kept me calm and it was so easy. I felt one poke. Then all was numb and the rest was nothing. I iced religiously the first day and I’ve had some swelling as expected(pictures), but decided to skip ibuprofen (though recommended). I now haven’t worn any antiperspirant and I’m fascinated that I have no moisture or odor even when I’m giving a presentation! Out of habit I keep checking, but know in time I will be confident to not check. I highly recommend MiraDry. It’s life changing.

I did not have the best experience in this office. Dr. Varano was good, but I had somewhat limited interaction with him. Overall I was not impressed with the technician as she was not professional and seemed irritated at the questions I was asking. I got the impression she didn't really have the answers and perhaps that is why she was getting annoyed. It was surprising as this is my body and I want to clearly understand everything before a procedure is conducted. I believe the technician I worked with was Emmanuella. Overall I would not recommend this facility unless perhaps their other technicians are more knowledgeable than the one I worked with. I would also recommend to Dr. Varano that he train his technicians better in the services provided as they are the face of his facility. He will continue to lose potential repeat clients if he fails to train his employees properly.

A year later and now I have to have revision liposuction on my abdominal because of fat pockets leftover underneath the skin. It wasn’t a smooth finish. I noticed that missed a major problem area most women have, “the pooch.” I brought it to his attention and he gaslighted me into thinking I wouldn’t see results till months down. I do and they’re horrible. They just took my money and left me with horrible results. I’m currently researching better plastic surgeons to fix it.

I had the Slim Lipo procedure done, 3 months post op and no changes. Their scale said I was 8lbs less then what I actually am and they were so fixated on my “weight loss” It definitely is inaccurate because I went on 2 other scales that morning which said the same thing. With any type of weight loss/lipo they focus on the inches, not the number on the scale. Well according to them, it was all about the scale. They tried to convince me to come back and have the procedure done again. Unfortunately, I did not get any results like I had imagined.

It's like a medical office rather than a spa, but it's more aesthetically pleasing and relaxing than most doctors' offices. Update: It is now a month after my previous review and I have not seen a change. My double chin is even more noticeable. It droops down more than ever. Very embarrassing. $2400 is too much money to risk. I regret getting this treatment. I spend $2400 on 2 Coolsculpting sessions for my double chin here. I did my second session 2 months ago. They said results will be present after 8 weeks. I do not see a difference at all. Don't waste your money here. There are businesses who focus more on Coolsculpting. I think I would've been better off going to one of them.

The laser hair removal has been very sucessful in one area and moderately successful in another area - but I feel like this is more of a personal problem then a treatment issue. The only reason my review is 4 stars is because the laser treatment can vary depending on the staff member you get to do your treatment and some staff are more thorough than others. This is a great office and tended to several of my cosmetic needs. I have had laser hair removal, IPL and Laser Liposuction and Coolsculpting over the past year. The staff is always welcoming and Allison and Luci do a great job. I was initially attracted because their website explained everything so well. When I met Dr Varabno for a consultation, he expalined the laser liposuction process very simply for me. I wanted to get rid of a little area in my abdomen. After we did the session, I could see the results in just a few days. I was back exercising . It looks great and exceeded my expectations. Awesome staff, awesome place

Not only is it clean but when you enter, you are usually greeted happily and taken back to your appointment almost immediately. If I have questions, they are always answered thoroughly.
