My journey started at a dermatologist’s office for cheek filler injections. I was very pleased with the results until there was no sign of the injections after about 6 to 8 weeks. This was expensive, $2000.00, and I was told that the injections would last for one to two years. My resolve was to find a permanent solution. From the time I walked in the door the staff was very professional and the office is clean. He was absolutely horrible. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out. I went into the room and before they even tried to put the IV in they kicked my mom out of the room (which I am a minor) and he came in to do the IV. He poked me 11 times which left bruises all the way up and down my arms and hands. He was very very rude and in my opinion very inappropriate. We didn't even have another female in the room. He was blaming the fact that I didn't have veins on my weight which I am not that over weight. I hated it completely.

The surgery over my upper eyelids showed no scarring and have remained stable in the last couple of years. He is the most well-trained surgeon I know, with training at Harvard, male clinic, and cosmetic surgery at Birmingham Alabama. If you are looking to throw money away and spend time sitting in a dental office, Dr Urban is the oral surgeon to visit! I had a scheduled surgery and spent over 2 and a half hours alone in a cold room waiting for surgery to begin. My husband took off work because I had to have a driver and missed WAY more work than they estimated. His procedures cost about 4-5 times that of other oral surgeons I have visited. He wants a cone beam every visit, which that alone costs $200. This service was free at another oral surgeon’s offices but here is not even covered by insurance. The Receptionist are very cold and could care less about patients. For the average person time is money. Dr Urban’s office not only charges significantly more, EVERY visit he was running behind by more than 45 minutes. 4 months after I was told my balance was zero I received a bill for $40. We would give zero stars if I could.

Dr. Urban is the only Oral Surgeon we trust. We first met him about 10+ years ago when my daughter fell off her horse over his right shoulder. His hoof went in her mouth and oh! what a mess that was! It was the day after Christmas (a Sunday, I think) and he came to the hospital. He was able to save every single tooth and set her jaw. She has done fabulously with no issues. There's no doubt in my mind that no one else could have done that. Since then,we have been back to him for various procedures. The man is not only smart, but talented.

The facility and staff are fantastic. I had to have all four wisdom teeth pulled, plus some additional molars because of complicated dental issues. I've heard so many nightmare stories about wisdom teeth, but my experience was very good. The consultation was a little abrupt, and yes, Dr. Urban can be very to-the-point and not spend much time on niceties. But his work is amazing. There were no complications, I had very little pain (amazing, considering how much trauma there is with teeth being pulled!), they called and checked up on me, and everything healed quickly and perfectly. I would highly recommend Dr. Urban if you need any teeth pulled.

I have had some pretty bad problems with my teeth for 20 years or so. The last time I had any dental work done I had a fairly traumatic experience and I haven't been to a dentist since. (this was 20 years ago) I had a week off of work and dental insurance I've never used so I looked up dentists and oral surgeons on my insurance website. Dr. Urban was the closest to me and looked to be the most qualified to yank some bad teeth out including an impacted wisdom tooth that has been plaguing me since before the last dental visit (20 years ago). I called a week before my vacation expecting not to be able to get in. To my surprise, they had an opening on a Wednesday the next week. I made the appointment, showed up on Wednesday very nervous, had the x-rays done, consultation, and surgery done all within a couple hours. Everyone in the office was friendly and made me feel at ease. I am giving everyone involved a 5/5 star rating. I was much more than impressed! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. And to top it all off, after having 5 teeth pulled, I have had zero swelling and very little pain. Top notch!

I had a horrible visit with this dentist and I'm thinking it's cause the office was suppose to be closed that day so i was an inconvenience if anything. I was referred out by my most amazing dentist in Magna Dr Nick Cantwell to see Scott Urban in West Jordan to have 2 difficult teeth pulled.. I just had all my teeth pulled the day before except those 2..... Dr urban was NOT gentle at all.. I explained to him my mouth was very sore and tender, but he still was not gentle and showed me that he just wanted to get it over with.. I started to tear up and was thinking of leaving, but i was trying to see the positive in him hoping maybe he was just having a bad moment and things would get better, but they didn't. In previous dental visits through out my life I've been told to raise my hand to let them know to stop cuz the pain was bad.. I was just told to put my hands down. I put my hand up again to stop him because my gums were super sore and he was leaning his hand on me. That just irritated him and kept telling me to hold still that the tapping was loud with lots of pressure.. That was not a pleasant experience, but that by far was not what upset me... I expected there to be pressure and some pain..... I must say I've never had such a horrible experience at a dental visit. I will not be recommending this dentist to anyone. I must say Dr urbans credentials were amazing and the office was beautiful. His knowledge and confidence was also amazing but will not take away the pain he caused me that day.
