I have wanted surgery for 8 years now. I had met with many doctors. I set an appointment with one doctor five years ago, but canceled the day before. I cancelled because I was so terrified that I was having panic attacks in my sleep! Honestly, I thought that I was going to have to deal with my body and be disappointed, embarrassed, and cautious of anything I wore for the rest of my life. Fast forward to two babies latter, weight fluctuation back and forth, I finally met Angela. The day I meet her she was so calming. She and Jody held my hand and walked me through every step. The day I paid the down payment I was hesitant over the phone with Jody, but she let me be nervous and was understanding of my emotions. Once I calmed down she took the payment and talked to me every day answering all my questions. Its been two months since my surgery and she still takes my calls.. As a mother with anxiety I knew Angela was the only person I could trust. She took amazing care of me. Her sweet voice kept me calm the whole way. I can't rate her high enough or explain how her and Jody have changed my life!!!!! I mean CHANGED my life!

Your kids deserve a healthy mom - get that tummy fixed! I love my body it is amazing. It has taken me through 5 pregnancies (from 15-40 wks). It has seen me through a D&C, a stillbirth, 3 c-sections, and many weeks of bed rest and high calorie diets to get me 3 beautiful healthy kids. I love being a mom and I would not change any of it. I have earned my scars! However those experiences also meant that I had chronic low back pain, a very week core, a diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation), and an umbilical hernia. I tried for years to close my abdominal muscles on my own. I was holding out hope that if I tried hard enough, and was patient enough I could strengthen my core enough to solve my problems. The stronger my abs became the more my hernia would hurt and cause digestive issues. I went through insurance and had my hernia fixed with a general surgeon and it came back within less than a year and more painful and troublesome than ever! I was beginning to loose hope, but I was not going to repeat that surgery, or put more foreign mesh in my body to hold it together. I knew there had to be another way. That is when I found Dr Keen. She was an answer to my prayers! She fixed my hernia with a tummy tuck operation. I have no foreign objects or mesh holding me together - just me and my muscles. My back pain has drastically improved. My digestive issues have improved - now that my intestines are back where they should be. I have better alignment and posture than I've had in a long long time. I feel great, and I look great too. It has been over a year now my core is strong and my hernia has not come back, and I am confident it never will. My husband has even mentioned to me that he is glad we did this surgery because he has seen a change in me. He can tell I am a happier, healthier more confident mom. Thank you Dr Keen, Julie, Jodi, Sam, and all the incredibly nice people on your team! You've helped me give my family the best version of myself and I will always be grateful for that!

If you are ever considering lip fillers or other injectables I would highly recommend LuAnn! She not only has 20+ years experience as an injector but she genuinely cares about your happiness with your results. She did a follow up call a few days after my procedure to make sure I was happy and everything healed well. She did not just rush through the procedure but rather took her time to discuss details with me in the mirror. Dr. Keen and her staff are very friendly and she has a fantastic bedside manner. Compared to many friends' experiences, my pain level was very minimal - which I contribute to her method (different from all surgeons I visited prior to choosing her). Because of major back issues, I can no longer wear a bra. I was VERY self conscious about my sagging breasts. This was the perfect solution - and it worked. However, I am about a year and a half out and have, what I consider major problems. At first, it was not that big of a deal - one breast is VERY firm and the other 'natural'. Not something that is extremely noticeable to myself or others. I can certainly feel it. I made the one breast larger than the other - noticeable by others (my husband and daughters are always honest). About 4 or so months ago, my husband stopped all of the sudden with his hand on the side of my breast. There is an actual CORNER coming out the lower edge of my left breast! It is not "soft" either. It feels like the implant bunched up and bulged out on an outside edge. Dr Keen said "it happens sometimes with thin patients". First off, I am the same as before the surgery - not to mention it literally just happened on evening. It 'popped' out. Now, every time I clean or get dressed, I feel it. I avoid touching or brushing up against it. No one wants to be reminded constantly of an implant - especially an implant gone wrong. Worst of all, I now avoid having my husband touch me. I am crying as I write this review. We used our savings to do this. I cannot just pay for it all over again. And, what if it happens again? The first year was great. I could handle the difference in texture. This has been emotionally devastating to feel and see the implant hanging out the side of my breast. The photos do NOT show how it looks in person. It is much more obvious - but just using my phone. The way it feels is beyond imagining.

I've had a few follow up visits to treat my scars with their laser, which are free of charge, and had the pleasure of being treated by Luann, who made me feel like part of the family with her friendly banter. I love Dr. Keen! My entire breast augmentation experience was seriously awesome! I went to a different plastic surgeon for a consultation before seeing Dr. Keen. I felt like he pressured me into going to a size that I was not comfortable with. Not only that, he told me I needed extra work (that cost extra money) that I believe I did not need. When I visited Angela Keen she was very encouraging and reaffirmed that I did not need that extra work and that going with the small size of implants would look beautiful on me. It has been a year and a half since she did my surgery and I could not be happier. I'm so happy that I trusted myself and felt like she was my biggest fan. This is by far the best experience I have had at a doctors office. I haven’t had any procedure done there, but if I could afford it I would in a heartbeat. It’s not even that the prices are unreasonable, I am just poor and have already spent a lot of money on my issue. Everyone was so friendly to me, and did everything they could to make me feel taken care of. I went to Dr. Keen to have a small bump removed from my nose. The first appointment was spent with her trying to talk me into a facelift, which I did not ask for and didn't want. The second appointment, Dr. Keen removed the bump from my nose and then said, "what about the bump by your eye. If it was me, I would have that removed." So trusting that she knew what she was doing, I said ok. I don't even remember there being a bump or anything by my eye. But now there is a red, hard, painful bump and the skin is stretched at the site where she removed "the blemish." Then when I went for a follow-up, I told the nurse I wish she hadn't touched the place by my eye. She lied to me and told me it was pre-cancerous so wasn't I glad it was removed. Wish I could give this office 0 stars. I would never refer Dr. Keen to anyone.

Don’t hesitate.. just do it! I had breast augmentation many years ago and was frightened about the implant removal results among many other preconceived notions. Making the initial phone call was difficult, but I am so glad I did. The receptionist was kind and non judgmental. The entire staff is very professional. Dr Keen and her staff deserve every single one of these five star reviews. From the initial consultation, I knew that I had made the right choice. They are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. They did a great job of setting expectations, and let it be known that I could come back as often as I wanted before I made any final decisions. When I checked in for surgery at The Avenues Surgical Center, both of my nurses told me that they all fight over Dr Keen's patients because she is so good at her job, and her patients recover so well. Even the anesthesiologist told me that I couldn't have chosen a better surgeon. I didn't even ask any of them what they thought, they just wanted me to know that I was in the hands of someone that they really admired. My recovery was speed of light - I had one day in bed, no narcotics at all, and up and at the office on Monday (after a Friday surgery). I really cannot say enough about Angela Keen and her staff!

I researched breast reductions for several years before actually deciding to go through with the procedure. I had four consultations with different surgeons, including one with Dr. Keen. Her level of professionalism and bedside manner were by far the best I had experienced. She made me feel comfortable and at ease with the surgery. She explained that her technique for a breast reduction is a little different from other surgeons and will produce less scarring. It's now been over 2 years since my reduction surgery and I could not be happier with my results and my decision to have Dr. Keen perform the procedure. Just one visit with her and her incredible staff and you'll see the difference. The surgery itself was shockingly easy. I had VERY little pain, only slight discomfort. Not to mention I was back to work much sooner than anticipated. She is knowledgeable, competent and the kindest doctor I've ever encountered. Dr. Keen is honestly amazing. If and when I need another procedure done, she'll be my first call, no question.

I went to Dr. Keene for a Mommy makeover, and I am so happy that I did! I got her as a recommendation from a sales rep for plastic surgery reconstruction equipment. He said that he would recommend her over all the other surgeons in Salt Lake. I read the reviews, and made an appointment. Her office was warm and beautiful. The entire staff is female, and were very nice. I felt very comfortable. I have had severe abdominal pain for 12 yrs since my 3rd child, and have been on medication to control that pain for 9 yrs. The Drs. thought that I had fibromyalgia and that there was nothing I could do. It has effected my digestion, as well. Dr. Keene was able to immediately tell that I had a 3 in. wide Diastasis Recti (gap in the abdominal wall). We wondered if this was causing at least some of my problems. I had the surgery soon after my visit. The surgery went beautifully, and the surgical center was wonderful! Dr. Keene and the center do so many things to keep you comfortable, pain free, and to set you up for the best recovery possible. It has now been 2 months. I look amazing and I feel so good! I still have recovery to go, but my digestion problems are gone! My incontinence issues from having children are gone! My incisions are tiny, smooth, and I already barely notice them. I truly believe that as I heal, all of my chronic pain will vanish as well. My insides were spilling out of my abdominal cavity, and now they are tucked nicely in place. It was worth the money, even when no insurance would pay, to feel so good! Thank you, Dr. Keene and team!

I wish I was able to spend time every week with Dr. Keen and her amazing, sincere, funny, comforting staff. My experience from the beginning to now (6 weeks post-op) has been such a pleasant experience despite some short term minor set backs. Kindof alarming when I called to ask if they take insurance for a necessary procedure and was told "no that is only cosmetic." Only, it isn't much of the time. It's medically necessary for some people. Scary that a plastic surgeon's office staff isn't aware of that.
