Dr Lam is an artistic genius, honest and direct. I came with ideas of what I thought I needed and was ready to spend thousands. He explained the aging process to me to where I understood what my face actaully needed and spent a fraction of what I had expected to. I got facial rejuvenation with fillers instead of the multiple surgeries I though needed and saw results immediately. His staff is proffesional and friendly and I am a forever customer I forgot to say that all the injections were painless because he uses vibration technique to distract you.

I originally came to get my acne scars corrected. For preface, I’ve been to two other medical spas that promised an improvement in my skin. After spending a year at each, I either saw it get slightly worse or stagnant improvement. I decided to do some more researching and fell upon Dr. Lam. I had seen he had great reviews and the photos on their website/social media showed promising results. I made an appointment the next day and when I came in for my first office visit, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I usually get insecure going places without makeup, but they made me feel great about myself. I did my first procedure and by the two week mark I saw amazing results. I had less cystic acne and my scaring was improving, as well. A month and a half later, my skin was still more clear and had only got acne every now and then and moreso around the chin, due to hormone issues. I then went into my second appointment feeling hopeful and relieved. I know this is where my journey to great skin has peaked. Thank you Dr. Lam for helping me gain confidence.

I met Dr Lam, he was wearing pink eyeglasses in honor of his baby daughter’s birth, I thought it was awesome! After much research I opted to see Dr.Lam for lip reduction due to silicone injection in 2006. Dr. Lam discussed my options and concerns, allowed time for questions and answers. Lip Reduction procedure was done in office under local anesthetic without any pain. He worked diligently to achieve a great result. There was never any pressure to spend more money or have additional procedures. If you’re looking for fillers, stay away! I spent $2000 on fillers that I’ve had to either massage away or go to another surgeon to inject solution that dissolves the filler. I was so optimistic going in, he speaks as if he is the king of fillers and makes you believe he knows exactly what to do. In all fairness, I liked his ideas, but his execution is what needs improvement. I was left with 3-4 large lumps where the filler did not spread or even out. I’ve had filler in the past but have never experienced lumpiness. Money wasted.

He removed silicon from my lips that were done over a decade ago and they were getting noticeably worse, he removed silicon from both top and bottom lips. I'm so pleased with the outcome. Dr. Samuel Lam needs to be thoroughly investigated by the TX Medical Board. His license should be taken away for the way he runs his practice, advertises his practice like he’s selling a car and not performing a medical procedure with complications, and the way he covers up his errors from getting out to the public who have a right to know his record. If only he had not tried to remove other people’s online reviews, I wouldn’t have been stuck with him and have to live with this face for the rest of my life. I am permanently left with scarring, obvious facial asymmetry and deformities, that I’ve seen many other plastic surgeons to fix but this is nearly impossible unless I get a new face transplant. I GET STARRED AT IN PUBLIC EVERY DAY AND PEOPLE ASK WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. I can’t publish photos because of his gag order and privacy reasons, but trust me on this IF YOU SAW MY PHOTOS YOU WOULD BE HORRIFIED. After what he has done to me, the way he covers up his mistakes by using a gag order to prevent this from getting out in the public is ridiculous. I have to see what this irresponsible doctor did to me everytime I look in the mirror. For what he has done to me, he owes me compensation for the specialist visits, time, medications but he has never even offered that. It disgusts me I am in this position because he performed a medical procedure on my face that I DID NOT WANT and constantly REFUSED despite him pushing me. IF ONLY HE HAD DONE THE PROCEDURES I ASKED FOR NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED AND I WOULDNT BE IN THIS SITUATION NOW. I will continue telling my story until he is held accountable for what he has done to me or until his license is revoked. He owes me thousands of dollars that I invested just to fix his mistakes, his lack of responsibility to document his findings properly and get informed consent left me with this monstrosity that I have to live with for the rest of my life and had impact on my bank account just to fix his mistakes.

If you are thinking of doing something to your face (the part that is seen the most), do not trust anyone other than Dr. Lam. He has excellent training, aesthetic taste, and masterful hands. I would never go to anyone else but him. If you want a little touch up like botox or filler, he is very conservative. And if you want a full facelift, he will do a perfect job- he has worked on my family members too and we all love him!

Highly recommend. What I like most about Dr Lam is his conservative approach. He genuinely wants to make you look your best. I am a 44 year old women that is receiving Botox treatment. I have very deep lines at the brow and corners of my eyes. The results have been amazing. The staff is awesome, always kind and friendly. Dr Lam himself exceeds expectations each visit. I have had Botox treatments previously by other physicians and Dr Lam does the procedure like no other. My previous treatments by other physicians were pretty basic leaving me with odd looking eye brows due to area of injection. Dr Lam actually discusses his goal before injection then has a two week follow up to make sure that the injections meet his expectations. What I like most is 1 the procedure is relatively painless performed by Dr Lam, I love the follow up and free correction if he feels it to be necessary with a double bonus that Dr Lam actually listens to your concerns and provides positive constructive feed back to help you achieve your goals.

My experience with Dr. Lam left me feeling that he is a doctor that is passionate about his field, dedicated to the highest quality in all regards of his products and practice, a perfectionist in the details of his work and caring about the satisfaction of his patients. I was truly impressed with the caring staff and their positive attitudes. As I am turning 50 next month, I wanted to find a doctor I could trust to help me look my best at my age. As I am entering a new phase of life, I was scared and hesitant to go to a plastic surgeon because I hear of doctors that recommend surgeries or procedures for patients that aren’t actually necessary to achieve the patient’s aesthetic goal. Dr. Lam has been a blessing! Not only did he put me at ease; but also, he told me I could achieve a more youthful look WITHOUT any surgery or downtime. Dr. Lam also advised me against the procedure that I thought I had wanted to try. I had thought about getting “fuller lips“. Dr. Lam actually advised me against doing that procedure because to enlarge the lips would make my face appear “older”. (Who knew???). Dr. Lam explained his point using pictures of me (because it did not make sense to me at the time.). Dr. Lam illustrated how the bigger lips would make my face look older because of the way my face is structured. Thank goodness for him! I bet if I had walked into another doctors’s office and asked for lip injections, they would have been all too happy to take my money and fill my lips with some injectable or another. But instead, I found a doctor that is honest and committed to helping me put my best face forward throughout the next 50 years. I will be going back to see him in another six months and we will re-evaluate my situation then. The important thing is that I know I am in good hands with someone who will not do a procedure just for the sake of doing a procedure and billing patients. Seems like a doctor Who truly cares about the individual patient and what is best for him or her— and that means the world to me!!!

I consulted with several local hair restoration doctors before I chose Dr. Lam. He is dedicated to his craft, and serves as a mentor to other physicians around the country regarding hair transplant techniques. I never felt rushed in all the time I spent with him during my consultations. His staff is also first rate. I had my upper eye lids done with dr. Lam one week ago, and the result is great! I had it done with local anesthesia, basically painless. I first went to Dr. Lam in my 50's due to annoying forehead wrinkles. he explained the many options that I had and I chose to stay with the botox injections which I still have done every 6 to 9 months,. He is meticulous in his work and knows exactly where the injection sites need to be. I am also a professional and I have seen my patients from other doctors that have done a very poor job of injections especially around the eyes that causes a massive upper lid droop or one eye does not completely close. Dr. Lam deformed my face, uneven eyes with one eye being more slanted the the other, lumps of scar tissue irregularly permanently embedded in my skin. There was so much inflammation and scarring it restricted my facial movements and in fact causes bruising/pain from the jagged edges of the scar tissue when you try to move. He then tries to cover up his mistake by using a gag order so that the public does not find out what he has done to me. Dr. Lam destroyed my face, took away quality years of my life, and now I had to see various top specialists and also had to go overseas to get his work fixed. I’m still not back to what I used to be, and seeing Dr. Lam turned out to be big burden on my bank account. This fees are high but not nearly as he cost to fix his mistakes. I would love to post photographs of complications of his procedures but then I am no longer anonymous and would be in a legal scuffle for not abiding by Dr. Lam’s gag order. He has not made any attempts to fix his error by referring me to specialists experienced in fixing botched surgeries but instead he wanted to put in MORE in the eye sockets that after seeing more experienced doctors would have been an egregious mistake and would have affected my eye movements if he had done this. He should have paid for my visits to get his work repaired for more experienced doctors who deal with corrective surgeries, not make the PROBLEM WORSE AND AFFECT MY VISION/EYE MOVEMENT by putting in more filler that caused this problem in the first place with all the fibrosis/stiffness/pain. He never makes appropriate amends but covers up his mistakes and scares his patients from coming public. A competent, responsible physician might offer an apology and financial compensation to get this fixed, if not then appropriate referrals to the best surgeons to correct his mistakes, not silence you with a gag order to keep what he did to me a secret

While waiting for my wife to be seen by Dr. Lam, I hopped on Yelp to check out some of his reviews! I must say, everything I read was spot on and then some. First of all, when we checked in, we had a warm greeting by the reception who made us feel at home. She especially made sure my wife, the patient, felt at ease and free of nerves. Next, it was time for our 2:30 appointment time. If there's every a way to get brownie points with me, it's to be prompt and on time with the appointment set. Our nurse took a before pic of my wife and was kind enough to let me sit in for the procedure. She was not only kind, she was funny. She made sure my wife was in good spirits and knew what to expect during and after the procedure. Once the prep was done, it was time to see Dr. Lam. Our nurse advised my wife and I that Dr. Lam was quick and efficient. She was so on point! Dr. Lam made sure that not only my wife's nerves were at ease, but that I wouldn't faint for what I was about to witness. Dr. Lam was hilarious, but at the same time very professional and do I say a perfectionist at his job! He made sure we both knew what to expect during and after the procedure. We were in and out of there within an hour which was also nice! Dr. Lam is the man!

Take caution with this guy. Ladies interested in procedures, go see A SPECIALIST in your area of concern! In my experience, he exaggerates his capabilities on procedures he may not do often, diminishes your situation, and does not deliver on his "guarantees". I just don't want any more women getting hurt by him. Like someone else said, he's expensive, but that price pales in comparison to what you will have to pay to fix his mistakes. I will say he did give me a refund for my past 7 years of terrible suffering. However, so far I have spent twice as much correcting his mistakes, and theres still more I will have to fix. My life would be much, much different if I never crossed paths with this man and it makes me sad it turned out this way because of his ego and carelessness. Years later, the many specialists I did consult both in the states and abroad were baffled at what he did. They'd ask, "what nationality was this surgeon?". Some even asked me if I had gone to a developing country for a cheap procedure! They confirmed what I already knew - Lam had used a completely inappropriate technique for my race, age, facial structure, - He didn't even take them into account! He later told me "I use the same technique for all my patients" - well, mister, that's where you went very wrong. Specialists told me Lam operated outside of the appropriate zone of operation. My revision doc said to me that while my case is a difficult one to revise, it isn't the most tragic one he's seen. Made me wince. But he's a point- for 7 years, people in my life thought Lam's work was the result of an accident! I just hope one day, I can have my old confidence back to look at people in the eyes comfortably again. But because of Lam, I unfortunately struggle through day to day interactions, 7 years and counting. Edit: When I visited him again to ask what went wrong with my procedure, he replied that he didn't know. Well. I knew. I was a new PA grad at that time and I still knew - the wounds had dehisced due to it being over a high tension area due to him using the wrong technique. It's a mechanical failure. If he said he didn't know he was either bluffing, or not qualified to perform this procedure on someone of my race, face, and age.

Fillers, in the hands of an experienced and skilled practitioner, are basically like Photoshop but in real life. Not crazy Photoshop, but the subtle kind that no one can ever tell you did. My only regret is not doing more, but I will be back. But that's one of the reasons Dr. Lam gets 5 stars. He didn't push me into more syringes (even though he easily could have and I would probably have been happy). He gave me realistic expectations that fillers are something that builds up over a long time with multiple treatments. I'm almost 6 hours post procedure and my swelling and bruising are almost zero. You can't tell anything happened except the little injection sites which look like blemishes. For a person who heals poorly and bruises very easily, that is amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be realistic about improving their appearance. Dr Lam will help you form a game plan and give you guidance along the way.

I can’t speak about Dr Lam procedures as I have not experienced it. However dealing with his office is an absolutely nightmare. I originally reached out about a procedure I was interested in. The assistant/nurse or whoever answer the phone asked that I send pictures and within a hour got back to me via email saying “dr lam said you will need this and this and that’s how much it’s going to be”. I originally found it odd for them asking for a deposit and payment without ever speaking to the person who was going to perform this procedure. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking he might be so busy he didn’t have time to speak to potential patient. I still went ahead and asked them to schedule me on his next availability which was going to be a few months down the line. The nurses never got back to me and when I called a few weeks later, they asked that I send the pictures again as they might have been misplaced. This place feels more like you are dealing with a factory vs an actual surgical practice. Whether or not Dr Lam is as good as he advertises it hard to tell from the diverging reviews on here, but my experience dealing with his office has been extremely poor and unprofessional.

I'd say his skill level is more of an "art form" than a medical procedure, with many of his clients being "fixes" of flawed procedures performed by other surgeons. His facility and staff are also first rate. My procedure was carried out flawlessly with minimal discomfort. I was very pleased with the end result. The only negative was....I only wish I had done the procedure with Dr. Lam years ago.

Dr. Lam helped me with a previous lip injection gone wrong. My smile was botched and super ugly to the point where I would have to bite my lips from the inside in order to hide my over sized and big blobs I had for lips. Thanks to Dr. Lam I can see my lips slowly going back to normal!! I’m still seeing him for follow ups because one thing is for certain he’s a perfectionist and will not stop seeing you unless you’re 100% happy with the results and he feels good about it too.. (This is why I’m only rating at four stars, because I’m still under treatment) but I definitely recommend him! He’s great!!!! I found Dr. Lam on realself. They were offering free consults so I made an appointment to learn more about fillers under my eyes. Upon entering the room he began to dissect my face and appearance, telling me his opinion of beauty; which I couldn’t honestly care less. It was ironic that he gives his opinion of beauty out to patients, yet he has a HUGE blackhead on his nose. I mean huge; I couldn’t stop looking at it. It looks like it’s been there for years. Why would a plastic surgeon, who’s job is to make things aesthetically pleasing, take such little time in their own appearance, then consider themselves a judge of beauty? I wasn’t offended, I was trying to hold back laughter. He decided I would need 4 syringes to fulfill his idea of beauty. He showed me pictures of past patients and made fun of the ones of had lip fillers he hadn’t done. I also have had lip fillers and he told me he didn’t like mine either; again, I didn’t care. I was really thinking about doing 4 syringes(god help me) but the doctor said he wouldn’t offer 24 months no interest financing because the rates for him were too high....so he was willing to let a 2900k treatment out the door so he didn’t have to pay $200 in finance charges. If he’s cheap, he’s going to be cheap in his treatment of patients as well. He left to let me think about it. I asked the MA if I could ask him another question and she responded, “he’s eating lunch, do you really want me to interrupt him” WHAT??? Yes, interrupt him! I’m currently in an appointment with him! Needless to say I didn’t get treatment done here and wouldn’t recommend this guy to anyone. The kicker was when I went to leave, they tried to charge me a consult fee. I reminded them I had a free consult with realself and they acquiesced. The doctor had a nice parting message for me as well, he said, “good luck finding someone who can do fillers. It’s very difficult”. Dude, I live in highland park Dallas. Doesn’t seem to be a problem and wasn’t a problem when I got 1 syringe of filler the next day at an office here. My results with 1 syringe are AMAZING. Dr. Lam pushes a hard sell then gets angry when you don’t bite. Don’t fall for it. He claims to be conservative in his treatment but his actions prove him to be quite the opposite.

When i first started seeing Dr. Lam in 2018, he came highly recommended and his only stipulation was if i did not like something to please give him the opportunity to make it right. I continued to see him for many different types of face injections. At the time they looked good so i continued to receive more. However, now maybe (3-6 months later) i feel my face has absorbed them and would like to talk to Dr. Lam regarding this as i had previously agreed if i didn't like something to give him the chance to make it right. When i called to set up an appointment, the receptionist stated he could not see me until sometime in September. What! That is 4 months out. I have spent thousand of dollars within his office and i will be going elsewhere. However, I will say his staff is excellence and if i was only reviewing them i would give them 5 stars.
