Dr Rivela a skilled plastic surgeon. LVN has interpersonal skills, provides comfort & support he leaves out. Staff is likable. Had major surgery that was positive but developed a wound that needed tx. Office visits weekly x 9 were unsuccessful. Doesnot want to recognize he needs advanced training in wound care tx. Found on my own, a Internal Medicine doc with a speciality in wound care. Provider was up to date w current standards of practice. Took another 8 weeks to close. Good luck to anyone looking to find a plastic surgeon to meet their specific needs. In this area, many are not innetwork w insurance, some are money hungry, others receive below average ratings from clients.

I studied, researched and read reviews about numerous plastic surgeons in Houston, prior to scheduling an appointment for breast augmentation and found that Dr. Rivela was the best choice personally for me. His credentials alone are outstanding and his reviews were all excellent. Dr. Rivela is, in my opinion, the BEST plastic surgeon in Houston, The Woodlands and surrounding areas. I felt comfortable, confident and trusting in both Dr. Rivela and his staff from the moment I first walked into his office. He is extremely honest and explains EVERYTHING in detail, which for me, was very important. Since I have never had breast implants, I asked sooooo many questions and he very patiently answered each one. He did not "rush" me through the appointment but instead took his time to ensure I understood everything. Since he is the expert in breast augmentation, I asked him his opinion as to the cup size better suited for me. He helped me pick out the best size and type of implant. I was initially a B cup and now a PROUD D cup. ”

Regina is the best. She gives you 100% of her attention, making sure you are as comfortable as can be. She takes extra time to make sure pain and bruising are at the very minimum . I am 100% happy with my results.

Dr. Rivela is Ok at easy jobs. He Does not spend time with patients, no blood work as other PS often do. Gets easily upset when patients have any problems or get infection. The After- care was terrible. I got infection and staph. Dr Rivela wanted me to pack the holes with saline solution. The next day after seeing Dr. Rivela, A friend not Dr.Rivela sent me to wound care. I was already testing positive for staph. It Took them six months to close the holes that went below the abdominal wall on the tummy tuck and grow back the skin on both breast and stomach. I did everything I was told and followed all instructions that was given to me. Breast Reduction and tummy tuck by Dr Rivela A living daily nightmare. Forever disfigured.

Dr. Rivela and his staff are wonderful, from the front desk staff, to the nurses, and of course Dr. Rivela himself. I have always felt welcomed and comfortable when I have visited Dr. Rivela's office. Dr. Rivela and his staff always listen and make you feel at ease no matter how major or minor the procedure, they have a way of making you feel like you are their most important client. I have recommended many of my clients and friends to Dr. Rivela and everyone is always pleased. I would have a hard time seeing anyone else for my cosmetic needs and thats why I will always be a client of Dr. Rivela and his amazing staff.

Run, don't walk to this place! I saw Wendy Satterwhite yesterday and she is beyond amazing! I didn't know what I needed, she took lots of time with me and Dr. Rivela even stopped in to look at my skin. Wendy was brutally honest and that's what I really needed even if it meant she didn't do a treatment. I wish more people were like her, the world would be a better place. I did end up doing a treatment and I am sure the results will be incredible. Don't waste your money and time buying other stuff, save your money and get the best!!!

I have been more than impressed with my experience with Dr. Rivela and all his nurses and staff. I have received exemplary care after my procedure including extra visits, many phone calls (during which I speak to the person I called without having to leave a message 98% of the time)without ever feeling rushed or like I was taking up too much of anyone's time. I have felt comfortable asking any question I had and feel like my result has been consistent with the expectations Dr. Rivela gave me beforehand.

I would not choose him. I had breast augmentation done. He said he uses a cutter to make things symmetrical, NOT SO! Also, had infections that led to terrible scarring. When I brought up concerns, he dismissed them because he said “lay people” wouldn’t understand. How arrogant and rude! This little man has issues. He is not a truly caring doctor, in my opinion.

I had a necklift ($5,00ish) with this doctor several years ago; however, I still have a lump of skin under my chin near the incision. At that time after several visits expressing my dissatisfaction, Rivela said that to fix it, he would need to do a jowl lift ($7,000), or he could do a $150.00 procedure, which was likely not to take care of the situation. I asked why he did not suggest the jowl lift at the time of the neck lift, and he answered, "I don’t know." What a cavalier, dismissive, uncaring attitude. Very disappointing. Supposedly the best in The Woodlands--I think not. Try someone else.

I have had several things Done at this office. Dr. Rivela and the entire staff is Phenomenal. Regina is the best ever at giving Botox. Wendy is very knowledgeable about all skin treatments and is prefect at giving anything from laser treatments to hydro facials. TRACY is a joy at the front and keep the office running smoothly. Dr. Rivela is amazing, friendly and is a professional at minimizing scaring. He is so good he has even Stitched up my kids when they have been hurt. When you go to him you will look good and natural. He makes improvements you are comfortable with and that don’t make you look over done or fake.

BEST IN THE WOODLANDS!! I just had my 3 week post surgery apt yesterday and I SOOOO happy with my results. I had a mini-mommy-makeover, with breast redux and lipo. All I can say is that I am TWENTY again up top!! The lipo looks great so far (painful but worth it) and I've lost another 8-10 lbs since surgery. I have another month or so before I get the full effect but so far am down a size and "old shopping"!! Wearing clothes I haven't worn in years. :) I chose Rivela because the office was so calming and professional. The nurses are all so nice and helpful. Doc is a perfectionist and it shows. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Dr. Rivela!!

I had surgery with Dr Rivela on June 12, 2019. I must say that I was a little nervous reading the other reviews, but I am here to say that I am happy I went with my first mind. Everything went fine, I had an allergic reaction to the Tylenol 3. In which the doc seen me the same day and prescribed me medicine. His bedside manner was great. I did feel that someone from the office could have called the day after surgery just to check up and see how everything was going. That is the only reason I didn't rate this a 5. But other than that, my experience so far has been great with the doc.

Wow thank you for the reviews that I’m reading... I’m actually searching for someone serious to do my prosedure.. (Brazilian butt lift) and just by reading the little bit of bad reviews on here I can already tell that this rivela guy will not take me serious as a customer there. so I will most likely not go with him. Thank you for your feedbacks on here, This really helped me out so I can choose the right person to do my surgery on me. I’m a very picky person and when I say I’m looking for someone serious I’m actually serious about that because I care about me.

I had a breast reduction completed by Dr. Lucian Rivela. I was so nervous but Dr. Rivela made sure I was completely comfortable. My biggest compliments (other than my husband) have been from my OB GYN and the radiologist for my mammogram who both commented on what a great job he does compared to others. Even now two years later, I can call his office and he answers any questions I might have regarding my body changes, not just about my reduction. The office makes you feel like you are part of their family. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Rivela and staff.

Wish I'd done more comparison shopping before I chose this practice. The staff are lovely, but Rivela has the bedside manner and compassion for his patients of a turnip. The man is more interested in money than anything, as he blatantly displayed minutes before beginning my procedures. Wish I'd heeded my gut at that moment and run.
