I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2015. Dr. Anglin, my breast surgeon, referred me to Dr. Meade. Dr. Meade's office was able to fit me into their busy schedule. The first thing I noticed when walking into the office was how friendly everyone was. The receptionist pointed me to the waiting room in the back. About 5 minutes Dr. Meade's medical assistance, Angela, came out and brought me into the room. After being asked about my medical history, I was asked to change into a blue top. Dr. Meade came in. He introduced himself. I told him, "I know who you are because I watched your YouTube videos." Initially I was scheduled for a mastectomy on my left breast only not a bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Meade is very honest and thorough, went over all the options for my reconstruction. With Dr. Meade recommendation, I decided to have a bilateral mastectomy and chose the DIEP flap reconstruction. Looking back with Dr. Meade's advice having the bilateral mastectomy was the best decision I ever made. I'm very thankful to Dr. Meade for helping me making that decision. I was very scared, confused and with teary eyes sitting across from Dr. Meade. Dr. Meade handed me a piece of tissue, at that moment I looked into his eyes and saw this caring, kind and compassionate person staring back at me. At that moment I knew I have chosen the right doctor. Thank you Trish and Dr. Herbert (anesthesiologist) along with Dr. Meade for being so kind to me. With my DIEP flap, surgery was supposed to last 8 hours but along the way there was complication. Dr. Meade with years of experience from doing so many cases of DIEP flap he was able to find a healthy blood vessel to reconnect. Surgery lasted 10 hours but everything was successful thanks to Dr. Meade's expertise along with the collaborative teamwork of Dr. Herbert and Trish, Dr. Meade's assistance. Dr. Meade is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend him. Thank you Angela for always being there whenever I have questions. Also thank you Janie and Becky for being so professional and thorough making my life less stressful. Thank you for making me beautiful emotionally and physically.

What a wonderful experience! I am a large weight loss patient who had excessive skin.. lots of it.. and had a body lift with Dr. Meade. He was so kind, considerate, and knowledgeable, and gave me realistic expectations of what to expect when I was done. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and well informed, and there was never a time that anyone was more than an email or phone call away to answer any of my questions. The results were amazing - more than what I had hoped for, and I find that my life has changed for the better. I find that I don't even care about the scars, but more about the freedom to wear normal clothes without having to wear spanx or a support garment underneath just to make it fit. I am healthy, happy, and more self confident about myself. I have had such a long journey since I first lost the weight, that I didn't realize the personal strength and value I would have had to already had to get this far. It is amazing what feeling good about yourself makes you realize. I am not changing myself, I am only allowing myself to have the body I worked so hard for that is hiding under so many layers of excess skin. I can play with my son now with free abandon without worrying about bending over and having skin fall out, or take him swimming and not have to constantly tuck skin back into the sides of my suit. I can just have fun and live life without being distracted by this insecurity any longer. I have told everyone I have come in contact with about my experience with Dr. Meade's staff and expressed my confidence and trust in all of them to anyone looking for services this office handles. I can never thank Dr. Meade and all of his staff, medical and office, enough. Tomorrow when I wake up and get dressed, I will be thankful for all of them all over again, just as I am every day.

After having a double mastectomy due to breast cancer, Dr. Meade performed the DEIP flap procedure. The procedure took 2 different surgeries in the same week (instead of normal 1) for him to complete it. The tissue failed in one breast a few weeks later and was removed. Therefore, a tissue expander was put in for implant at later date. I received an infection 10 days later from expander and elected to have tissue from other breast removed so I was even on both sides and let my breasts heal for a few months. After reconstructive surgery with small implants (surgery #5) a few months later, I have been left with deformed breasts with nipples pointing down, sagging skin and concave above breasts because implants were too small. I also have nerve damage in right arm that has continuously worsened where I now have daily pain and limited range of motion. I was told by Dr. Meade that he could fix implants but I needed to decide what size implant I wanted so I'm not concave (he's suppose to be the expert; not me)and I would have to pay for the surgery with no compensation from his office for previous botched surgery. I have a $6500 deductible and am not willing to spend that on surgery #6 with no guarantee that he'll get it right. There were no apologies from his office. My breasts look like I could be on the tv show "Botched". Beware if your surgery is not a simple straight forward one!

I had an awful experience at Dr. Meade's office yesterday...I stepped into his office at 11:31- my appointment was for 11:30. After filling out my paperwork no one uttered a word to me about how long it would be, etc! At 12:15 I politely asked the brunette with bangs at the front to call the back and see how much longer before they called me back!!! She should've done that without me asking!!! I'm sitting in front of her face for 45 minutes and she didn't care to check. That's poor patient care. She finally called the back and told me it would be about 5 more minutes. 15 minutes later Dr Meade's assistant comes to grab her lunch, chit-chats, and then tells me she can bring me back to her big waiting room!!! So we are at an hour past my appointment time now and I'm not even sitting the Doctor's waiting room????? Is this how they treat their patients??? At that point I told her I'm just leaving- but she insisted I was their next patient... I told her I don't have anymore time to waste, if they are running that far behind they should consider communicating with their patients some time before a full hour past a scheduled appointment, just sayin'! If this is the kind of careless staff Dr Meade employs, I don't want him and his boneheads anywhere near my body-- and this was a consult for a reconstruction for a double mastectomy!

I had a prophylactic mastectomy and Dr. Meade performed my DIEP Flap breast reconstruction. I simply cannot say enough about not only how wonderful he is, but his entire staff as well. I had pretty specific aesthetic results I wanted from my breast reconstruction, and I came to Dr. Meade after another plastic surgeon told me it wouldn't be possible. He thought outside the box and laid out a surgical plan to give me the best shot at what I wanted. He was realistic and let me know that there was no guarantee it would work, but he thought it was definitely worth trying. Thanks to him, I have ended up with the results I wanted and so much more. When initially choosing which route to go with for my reconstruction, I was nervous about staying in Dallas to have DIEP Flap performed because New Orleans is famous for it. I am so glad I stayed local and went with Dr. Meade. My results are just as good, if not better, than the women who go to NOLA. I belong to several online BRCA / breast cancer groups and every time I post my results photos, everyone raves and wants to know who my doctor is. Upon my first consult with Dr. Meade and at every appointment thereafter, he spent as much time with me as I needed. I had a lot of questions and never once felt rushed. He really makes an effort to know and remember his patients. I'm always impressed at every appointment how he remembers things about me, my case, etc. You're not just another surgery to him, you're a person, and you're important. His staff is the same way. They are very responsive to phone calls, helpful with information, and are always very warm and kind. I am going to miss them all once my follow up appointments are done! Dr. Meade also apparently has an impressive reputation in the medical community as well. Because of weird insurance networks, my surgery took place in a different hospital than he normally works from. The morning of my surgery, the pre-op nurses were all buzzing with excitement that Dr. Meade would be operating there that day. We overheard one nurse tell another to make sure the setup is just right for him. It was so fun to hear them take so much care in wanting to accommodate him. Throughout my week-long stay at the hospital, each time I was transferred to a different department, first the ICU for 24 hour flap monitoring, and then the oncology unit, the nurses would say, "oh you're Dr. Meade's patient!" I somehow even ended up with a 2-room suite at the hospital. The nurses said Dr. Meade likes his patients to be well taken care of. No kidding! Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the VIP treatment on Dr. Meade's behalf. I had a great experience with DIEP Flap breast reconstruction and am happy every day when I look in the mirror. I'm not going to lie, it’s a challenging surgery, but it is worth it. Dr Meade is very talented, skilled, and has performed many while maintaining a very low flap failure rate. He told me once that DIEP is one of his favorite surgeries to do. Dr. Meade is very honest and will not upsell you to make more money. He will give you his honest opinion about what is best for you. He is very confident and proud of his work, and for good reason. That confidence is very reassuring to see from your surgeon. I trust him completely and would highly recommend him for any procedure. He is an artist. I am so thankful for his work in the breast reconstruction field, making women feel whole and beautiful, in the midst of disease. Thank you Dr. Meade!

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2017. I was terrified but being in the hands of WONDERFUL doctors helped with my anxiety. My Breast Surgeon works with Dr. Meade on many cancer cases and highly recommended him. We were able to do a consultation and coordinate surgeon schedules and proceed quickly. People told me that the next year would be full of ups and downs and they were correct. I recently completed phase 2 reconstruction. i am healing slower that I had hoped for but with chemo, radiation and being diabetic i was told healing would be slower. I have schedule the last phase for this December and can't wait for this ride to be over. Dr. Meade has always been great, his staff- great. If I had one complaint it would be that there is always a wait to see him, but with anything of value, it's worth the wait!

Dr Ricardo Meade performed a tummy tuck, breast augmentation and upper eyelid blepharoplasty on me in March 2014. I met with three other surgeons and by far, absolutely loved Dr Meade's personality and straight-forward approach. Dr. Meade and his staff were the most comforting and professional group of people I have ever dealt with. I was very nervous for my procedure and from the moment I walking in on the surgery day, they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. From holding my hand to distracting me by making me laugh were some of the things they did. They were honest and upfront about everything and answered all my questions. I don't want to forget to mention the office staff as well. I was emailing questions, probably too many, prior to my surgery and they were always answered as they re-assured me I wasn't bothering anyone and that they were happy to help! I would recommend Dr. Meade and his staff to anyone!

I am using our family Google account, which is under my husband's name. Dr. Ricardo Meade is an excellent surgeon, very laid-back guy. He took his time explaining what procedures he was going to perform on me. He answered all my questions and made sure I understand what was going to happen before and after surgery. His staff is wonderful..5 stars to the anesthesiologist and his nurse. Dr. Meade did a wonderful job with my TT/breast lift. He also did an amazing job repairing my large hernia after having six kids and 4 C-section and tubal reversal. My muscle were severely separated and torn. Hey! Now mama got her body back. Oh! yeah! Oh! I had little to no swelling. No bruising.

Where to begin. Dr Ricardo Meade is a dedicated, compassionate, highly experienced professional, Godly man, dedicated to his family as well. He is very approachable and takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers all questions you might have concerning any problems you might have. I can’t say enough about his office staff either. Becky makes sure all procedure run according to schedule, Erica is his assistant and made sure I was comfortable with the upcoming surgery. Daisy was great with insurance and billing. The rest of the staff are just as friendly and open. I work in the medical field and have worked with many doctors. He is at the top as far as overall experience. In the 2009 I had a bil mastectomy with complications. After multiple surgeries through a different set of surgeons, I had lost hope, feeling like there wasn’t hope for a successful outcome. I heard of Dr Ricardo Meade. At the first meeting he was up front with the choices and risk I faced. He made sure I was checked out thoroughly and then performed a DIEP flap procedure. Best thing I ever did. There are no words to tell you how beautiful the results turned out!! Not saying it was easy, never once was I made to feel like a burden or that the office and Dr. Meade were too busy for me. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Meade as your surgeon!!! God bless!
