Called for info on Blepharoplasty, secretary was not helpful, and blew me off. Cant they just be nice? They are first contact of a Dr., so it would be great if they took just a little time, instead of saying "i dont know, i cant answer that..." and made me leave a msg... Anyway, those 8 reviews do not explain what surgery they did? they just say "great" , which makes me think it is fake. also consultation cost 150$. and she refused to give a price of upper and lower eyelid surgery. Why? it is hidden? what is the avg cost. disappointed. As I am writing this comment, i called Dr Warren Katz office. OMG what a difference. The secretary was sooo Helpful !!! answered all my questions and concerns. 1st consultation free, and surgery cost ALL included should be around $7400. regardless if I do it there, This is the info we want, and not the Gililand secretary treatment. after all someone is as good as the people he is surrounded by.

This is in response to HM’s post... I’m here to say his reviews aren’t fake! He restored my mom’s vision with no complications, after her not being able to see to drive for 3 years. She had a severe case of Graves’ disease and had to have orbital decompression surgery. She was in her late 70s at the time. And had very little bruising and his entire staff was so good to her. He is SO kind and compassionate. He has an old school bed side manner. Where doctors cared about their patients and takes the time to listen to them. He doesn’t over schedule like other doctors and treats you like your time is as important as his. He can walk in and be like 3 mins behind and he apologizes. You just don’t see this kind of care for patients anymore. I wish I had seen this post 10 months ago to tell HM to spend the consultation money..they wouldn’t regret it! We dealt with many doctors through out this process over 4 years and have not met a doctor that is this kind and patient.

My experience with Dr. Gilliland and the entire staff was truly a life-saver. Before meeting with him, I had already been examined by two neurosurgeons and three neuro-ophthalmologists elsewhere. Dr. Gilliland was the only doctor who correctly diagnosed my problem and took the time to speak honestly with me about it, as well as help me choose the wisest path for treatment. My situation was a granular cell tumor embedded on the left optic nerve at the orbital apex, extending into the orbital canal. His consultations were clear, informative and understanding. The staff gave me excellent preparatory instructions for what to expect the day of surgery. The surgery itself went wonderfully. It was a high-risk procedure, and now 8 years later my quality of life is still 1000% better than before. He and his staff have always been gracious and responsive to my questions. I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with an issue related his specialty.
