Horrible experience!!

I’m writing this review to tell of my experience with Dr Barone and her Team I stated inquiring with surgeons about two year ago regarding a rhinoplasty. I want to save anyone the headache I went thru with this rude unprofessional staff! I set up my first appointment a year and half ago, everything was good to go 100$ fee I knew what I wanted but was still wanting to weigh my options. I went met Dr barone and we discussed what she could do. They wanted to make me wait at least 4 months to do surgery after paying because her ‘busy schedule,” I said I needed time to think but would call when I’m ready Well, come December of 2018, I called and said I met with her before and I was ready to book me for the consultation and I’d be ready. They gave me a April date. 4 months! I said ok! well as the day before my appointment approached, I called to verify the time to go in, the animal on the other line said, “I remember you booking, we have your birthday and name in my system but not a matching last name.” I informed her I was adopted and my mother booked my last appointment and I had waited 4 months for this day! Her response.... “ well too bad your not seeing Dr Barone and if I let you your still paying the fee.” I didn’t care about money I had the cash in hand! Which by the way was overpriced by 6,000 compared to others! I told her, “I waited 4 months for this day, and to have you act as ugly as you do, I’m going to someone better!!!” I don’t know why Dr Barone allows this type of behavior on her staff but I wanted to say. It is foul, disrespectful and unprofessional. Shame on you. I hope no other patient goes through this. I forgive you!!! I pray for you,because no matter what your going thru, you should not treat others seeking care like this! I went to numerous Appointments before finding the right one and I’m so glad I did!

Another patient here, agreeing with others who say this doctor has the worst bedside manner and is extremely arrogant. She really thinks a lot of herself. She literally blew through administering Botox in about two minutes - maybe less! I’m not even kidding. She stabbed my face so fast, I can’t even imagine the product went into my skin or muscles. I called three weeks later to ask for a follow-up, because there was hardly any difference in my face (shocker), had to wait another two/three weeks just to get an appointment, and when I got there for the appointment, they told me I was going to have to pay full price again because I was due Botox! In addition to that, she won’t allow patients to use their Brilliant Distinctions rewards discount, because according to her, the product she uses is “better” and doesn’t qualify (it’s just new :/ ). If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Do not go to this doctor, if you want a successful Botox appointment. Or for anything else, for that matter. My time and money (and skin) mean too much to me.

My initial visit went well, I appreciate that Dr. Barone was spent some time discussing her thought on my surgery. However, when putting my Initial deposit I was told I would need to get all the blood work myself. I made an appt with my dr to schedule pre op blood work, my dr advise it was not typical for a surgeon to recommend another dr clear me for surgery that she prefer dr Barone to review my labs and determine if I am safe. My dr also said the reason why she suggest this path is because My TSH levels are high and that would be a conversation Dr. Barone would need to have with the anesthesiologist. I stated this to Jessica, she acted surprised and recommended me to PRO care. The outcome was the same. The only statement Jessica stated to me was ohhhhh DR. Barone doesn’t “do that” . When I undrstandly Sounded frustrated Jessica said, “this is your fault, not ours”. I requested Jessica to present the issues to dr Barone to discuss a reimbursement. Jessica stated she would get back with me.It is now several months later and I cannot get a return call from this office about any reimbursement owed to me. What Jessica did mention was putting my deposit toward a different procedure. This office could work on customer service and looking at the big picture. Furthermore, If my health is not up to “par” for surgery ( I am 160lbs, crossfit 3-4 times a week, my blood pressure and cholesterol are within a healthy range) and dr Barone is not willing to look at my paperwork to speak with the anesthesiologist, why would I not be entitled to a refund?

I chose Dr. Barone because I wanted the latest technology in breast implants (Ideal Implants) and she was one of the only doctors in San Antonio to offer them and she is one of the top rated plastic surgeons in the US! Beautiful offices and reception area and friendly and very professional staff. Your first consultation is free! I have had two previous breast augmentations done by a different surgeon and I am so glad I chose Dr. Barone for my third revision. She did a far superior job than my previous doctor. Together we chose a smaller sized implant than what I originally had and I am so pleased with the new size that actually fits my small frame. Dr. Barone made me feel very comfortable and calm before my surgery and they even had a heated blanket which was very nice. The anesthesiologist met with me and explained the entire process of what would happen and the nurse who prepped me was friendly and warm. I had no complications after surgery and my new breasts look the best they ever have! I used to feel self conscious about my previous implants because I always felt they didn't look as good as they could but Dr. Barone did such a beautiful job and I now feel comfortable wearing lower cut tops and every time I see my new implants I am finally 100% happy with what I see!

I had met with Dr. Barone to do a "mini-lift" and decided to proceed. I chose a date in December for the Pre-op appointment, then another date in January for the actual surgery. Two days before my pre-op appointment my mother became violently ill and was rushed to the hospital. She was taken into surgery and placed on life support. I contacted Dr. Barone's office to let them know what was going on and cancelled my appointment. I let them know I would call them back to reschedule everything when things settled down . My mom passed away the next day and we were all in shock, not to mention overwhelmed with handling her affairs, cleaning out her house, etc. Imagine my surprise when I received a call on the January date when my surgery had been scheduled inquiring why I had "broken my appointment". I told her what had happened and that I had cancelled the appointment in December. Then the person put Dr. Barone on the phone, (who was apparently ready to operate whether I had a pre-op appointment or not). I explained again what had happened, and her response was "I can't run a practice like this. I'm going to keep your $500 deposit since you didn't give us sufficient notice." At the time, I was too overwhelmed to be outraged and told her okay. There is SO many things wrong with this scenario. 1.) Wasn't it the staff's responsibility to cancel both appointments considering the gravity of the situation and since I said I would call back to reschedule? 2.) Wasn't it also the staff AND DOCTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY to review all the upcoming surgeries scheduled for the week in which case they would have realized I had never been seen for the Pre-op visit ? And wouldn't this be done a few days before and not the morning of, the surgical appointment? 3.) Was Dr. Barone really intending to proceed with the surgery WITHOUT a pre-op visit? (which could be risky since we had not thoroughly reviewed my medical history or medications). I don't know if she's a great surgeon or not. I was put off by the apparent lack of attention to important details by both the staff and Dr. Barone, and her callous attitude towards my situation. I eventually scheduled my procedure elsewhere and am very happy with my results.

***PLEASE READ*** I know reviews are everything when it comes to finding the right doctor for any procedure and my experience with Dr. Barone and her staff has been nothing less than perfect. Any questions or worries I had were sincerely and immediately addressed. Dr. Barone and her staff are the sweetest and I felt so comfortable with them. My results from my breast lift and augmentation are everything I expected and more. I compete in the NPC in bikini shows and I was very embarrassed of my breasts on stage.. my confidence even lacked at home with my husband.. I would never go to this doctor for any procedure specially a tummy tuck. If you go and you're over weight she doesn't help to recommend to lose weight instead she tells you ...Do it now because you say you're going to lose the weight but we know you're not. Then you go through with surgery and as you recover her job reflects poorly but she puts the blame on you for being fat. Well your medical recommendation was to do it. Maybe you shouldn't of taken my $8k first to just try and get another $6k a year later. She's horrible please don't have surgery with her. She over booked and doesn't take the necessary time on each surgery because she's always rushed. If you look at her website she doesn't even have enough good examples aside from breast augmentation. She should stick to that surgery and stop any other surgery.

I am a patient that traveled hundreds of miles from Kansas to see Dr. Barone and I can honestly say I have ZERO regrets!!! I flew in for my free consultation in Oct. for a Tummy Tuck and flew back in for my pre consultation in Nov. and flew in Again in Dec. for my surgery. With the price I was quoted and the amount of travel plus expenses for my 4week stay, I can say by far the best experience I had. Dr. Barone listened to what I wanted, recommended what she knew was best for my body type and was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. If we had more time we could sit and talk for hours but realistically she has a job to do ;) I am beyond blessed to have found her and her work is incredible! Awesome, I did my research and looked at reviews.i have been in the medical profession for 33 years so yes. I am picky. I actually found Dr Barone while flying southwest. She was voted best plastic surgeon in the nation in a magazine they have on the plane. I made an appointment when the plane landed. When I meet her. She was kind,matter of fact and honest. The whole office made me feel comfortable and important. I had the consult and decided she was the one. She is an artist and I had plenty to fix. 1 week post op I know it will only get better. Now I feel good on the inside like I look on the outside.

My mother had a consultation with Dr. Barone today and it turns out Dr. Barone has the bed side manner of a rattle snake. My dad joined my mom for the consult and also had to witness the rude, arrogant, and dismissive behavior Dr. Barone expressed toward my mom. I don't know who Dr. Barone thinks she is but there are a ton of great plastic surgeons in San Antonio and she is certainly not one of them.

They will reschedule and cancel appointments post surgery and basically make you wait for whenever they feel like is a good time to see you. They do not care or take you seriously post surgery. I’m SO happy with my results and enjoy wearing dresses again !! Dr Barone and her staff are excellent! They are highly rated and you can tell why. Competent, professional and caring. Exceptional surgical facility co-located with their office. They do a fantastic amt of business but You never feel like a number. I felt I received a good exam by Dr Barone prior to my surgery, great recommendations on what could be done and changes to expect. My procedure and recovery went smoothly. I saw Dr Barone at each of my follow-up appts. It did take me almost 3 mths to get in for my initial consultation BUT the person scheduling me told me which medications and supplements I would need to be off of (some as many as 3 mths) before surgery (was really surprised that I needed to stop taking fish oil supplements). Taking that advice before my initial appt enabled to schedule my surgery soon after my consult. I had checked out 2 other places before Dr Barone and the difference was striking. At one place I went to, I wasn’t even seen by a doctor, just a pushy salesperson who couldn’t even tell me which of their “fine” doctors would be doing the procedure or even if I was asking for the right procedure. At another, an older doctor told me I’d be bedridden for 3 weeks. At Dr Barone’s , her recommendations were completely explained along with the recovery time and what to expect. Walking was emphasized right from the start which helped a lot, it was obvious when I wasn’t walking enough. Cosmetic surgery isn’t for everyone. It was the right choice for me and I’m so glad I went with Dr Barone.

I recently had a consultation with Constance and was charged $140 because I was interested multiple procedures. I was told because it would take up the doctor's time but when I spoke to the doctor she quickly went over one of the procedures and didn't even allow me time for asking questions, nor did we even speak on all that I was interested in. All in all I spoke with her no more than 5 minutes and it felt very rushed. I felt like I was of no importance to her so I left feeling very upset and ripped off.

I am writing this review from my Dad's account to protect my privacy. I went to consult 3 plastic surgeons before finding Dr. Barone. Best decision ever!!! I did a Quick Lift, Neck and eye lid. I cannot believe how good I look!! Everyone compliments me, but they can't quite put the finger on what happened. They just say: You look gorgeous! At 3 months of my surgery, I look completely recovered, although I know it can take up to a year for the scars around the ears to completely heal. And by the way, the cuts were so precise and clean, you can barley see them. Dr. Barone will be super careful to cut in places where they can't show. The little ones in front of my ears are minimal. Right now I cover them (in my eyes and ears) with concealer from IT Cosmetics and it works wonderful, even I forget I have scars healing. The Staff is super helpful, Dr. Barone is a Goddess. Trust her, she knows what she is doing. You are in excellent hands!! Thank you Dr. Barone <3 XOXO AG

I was always iffy about getting surgery but one of my friends went with Dr. Barone and I was convinced that is was time for me to finally get my procedure done. I was always self conscious of how my breast looked and never really liked them. After having my breast lift and Augmentation I seriously love them. When i went in for surgery day i dont even remember what happened haha i guess thats how good the anesthia doc was. First 2 days were a bit painful trying to make strength in my chest area but it gets better after the days go on. Went back to work after a week. Today was my 6 week check up and I was cleared to workout and do as I please like normal. So no more visits anymore and time to get used to these puppies which they are the best ❤

I just had the worst experience with Dr Barone and her staff. She put off my surgery twice. She said she could not obtain the ideal implants, which we find out she is a stock holder in the ideal company. After consulting with another doctor, we have found out the fda has no approved or released the ideal implants. Dr Barone and her staff are very deceiving . They are telling their patients that it is a delivery problem . It is not. A very deceptive practice, to say the least. Would not recommend her to anyone. And she is collecting payment in full.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Barone & her amazing staff. After numerous consultations with other surgeons, I went & saw Dr. Barone. I could immediately tell my experience with her would be different than my experience at other cosmetic surgeons offices. The staff definitely went out of their way to make me feel comfortable & Dr. Barone (unlike other surgeons) did not rush me through our consultation. She took her time to answer all of my questions thoughtfully & did not try to pressure me into other procedures that I was not interested in. The compassion and kindness did not stop once I had my procedure. They made sure I knew to call them day or night with any questions I had during my recovery. Results are exactly what I hoped for & I know that if I ever have any issues they are just a phone call away. I cannot recommend Dr. Barone enough to friends, family, or even strangers who are considering any cosmetic/plastic procedures.
