I had a bilateral mastectomy in 2005 due to breast cancer with reconstruction done by another surgeon. After 5 years, the implants dropped, and I was referred to Dr. Lucas by a former cancer patient who was happy with what he did for her. I was very happy with what he had done with my procedure too but unfortunately, through no fault of Dr. Lucas, nipple reconstruction did not work as I expected. In October of 2018, because I felt confident with both he and his staff after the previous surgery, I decided to go back to Dr. Lucas to see if anything could be done with the nipples. In the meeting with Dr. Lucas and Wendy, he explained there was a new procedure for nipple and areola reconstruction as well as a new implant that would give me better projection which I wanted. I had the surgery in November and have been very happy with the results. (My husband says they look great too!) I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Lucas and his staff – they are fabulous. They are more than medical professionals, they are partners in the journey with you. When you finish your journey, you feel like you have friends in Dr. Lucas and his staff. They support, encourage and uplift you. I have been blessed and I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Lucas, Wendy, Jackie and Nikki for being there for me through this journey.

Upon moving from Florida I needed reconstruction from a double mastectomy. I met with Dr. Lucas and Wendy and couldn't have felt more pleased with the office and Dr. Lucas's plan for me. 2018 was a long road, but in the end because of Dr. Lucas I can say I am finally feeling like myself again. The entire office staff greets you with smiles and make you feel very welcomed to be there. Dr. Lucas goes the extra mile for his patients. You will not be disappointed here I promise!

I had breast augmentation surgery three weeks ago with fat grafting by Jay Lucas, MD. I am a very conservative person and I did not want huge breasts just to be noticed. I simply wanted breast enhancement since I have a very broad breast bone and I wanted my breasts a little larger and closer together. I researched several surgeons in the Knoxville area and found Jay Lucas, MD was the most experienced with fat grafting procedures and he has been doing them for years. I am extremely pleased with my results and I know they will only get better as time passes and healing progresses.

I can't say enough nice things about Dr Lucas and his entire staff, especially Wendy! I underwent a circumferential bodylift after losing 100+ lbs! I was made to feel like family from my consultation to my last follow-up appointment! Dr. Lucas personally called and checked on me several times during my recovery, even on the weekends! He went above and beyond to take care of my every need and to answer all questions and concerns as they came up with the utmost professionalism and patience!

I had a tummy tuck by him back in 2009. I had muscle separation, extra skin, and a hernia below my belly button. He said he had a better method for the hernia, to remove my belly button and make me a new one. Well, beside the allergic reaction I had to the surgery, and breaking out in hives and blisters, the belly button he made me wasn't looking too good. It took me twice as long to heal, he said the puss didn't mean infection and he didn't want to give me a prescription for antibiotics. After I healed he did a revision of the scar, while I was awake, another allergic reaction. He said he wouldn't be able to fix my belly button, that closed more than halfway, without charging me. It is now smaller than a pencil eraser. My scar looks jagged and awful. He could have cared less about me. Also, my stomach muscles were not properly lined up, so now I just looks bad. Wish I would have gone to someone else!

When you 1st walk into the Lucas Center you feel as though you are entering a spa!! The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like an old friend of the family. This is of huge importance to me since I had spoken to other surgerons, and some of their staff would make me feel ignorant or as if I didn’t do my research. Trust me I did. I had a mommy make over (full tummy tuck, with muscle reconstruction, breast lift with implants and Lipo suction) at the Lucas Center. It was amazing! Dr. Lucas has a wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor. Let’s face it ladies, when getting naked in front of a stranger whom you’re going to point all of your flaws to, you can feel unnerved and frankly like running away and crying. But Dr. Lucas has a away of making you feel comfortable with it. He’s going to be honest with you and he’s not going to do something he doesn’t feel you need. Trust me I asked him about a procedure and he said no way I didn’t need it. That right there says a lot to me about the type of person and doctor that he is!!! After the surgery he called me after hours to see how I was doing and even gave my husband his personal cell phone number in case there were any issues. Talk about red carpet service!! He even came in after hours to remove my drains!! Clearly Dr. Lucas goes above and beyond. I look great now!! I receive compliments all the time and people are constantly asking who my surgeon was. And ladies, my breast look real!!!! People can’t believe it when I tell them I have implants. They look like they did when I was 17 again!! I just can not say enough great things about Dr. Lucas and his staff. They’ll even hold your hand and talk to you when you’re feeling nervous (yes they did this several times for me)! Give the Lucas Center a call I promise you won’t regret it!!

Monica is amazing! She is the RN and does my injections. I am super needle shy to the point of passing out...Monica is gentle, kind and understanding... therefore she helps me manage through it. When skin cancer was found on my nose and it was growing very fast, Dr. Lucas was recommended by the VA. I was really worried about how I would look after the cancer was removed. Dr Lucas explained it would take 3-4 surgeries over a period of one year to remove cancer cells first then reconstruct left lower part of my nose. He did a great job and You can not tell I had all that surgery just a year ago. He and his wonderful staff of ladies was so patient and very supportive. They always greeted me with a smile and was there if I needed a pep talk or hug. They really made me feel that they cared about me 100% . I can never thank them enough for a job well done. Marsha C.

I first met Dr. Lucas when pediatric surgeons group that was working on removing my toddler daughter’s large mole told me I needed to see a plastic surgeon because they did not know how to make the scar look decent (it was a very large mole that had to be removed via several procedures). Dr. Lucas was awesome and my daughter’s scar looks great! Years later I came back to Dr. Lucas for help with my “Hot by 40” project. I’m now past my 40th birthday and I’m HOT, so once again Dr. Lucas did an excellent job! He is very smart, passionate, and a bit of a perfectionist.
