Brought my daughter in for a mole removal and paid up front for the procedure. After a few days the stitches came out. We called the Dr and he said it should be fine. At her check up appointment the Dr said he didn’t like how it looked and that he should have used a different type of stitch. He asked if he could restitch it. I said yes. At no time did he say they would charge me DOUBLE for the entire procedure. He even admitted that he should have used a different type of stitch. I didn’t find this out until several months later when I received a bill from the clinic with the same procedure being billed, a second time. You cannot remove a mole twice in a 10 day period. And when you make a mistake, you should not pass the financial burden on to the patient. When I asked it to be reviewed, the clinic says the Dr coded it for a second procedure and ‘he must be right’...
