I have been a patient/customer for over two years and have never been impressed. For the 9-10 Times that I have been in the office, I have never laid eyes on Dr. Hensel. If you’re looking for a doctors office that sees you as dollar signs instead of an actual patient, this is your place. Personally, I'll take my business elsewhere. In a city the size of Charleston, you have PLENTY of better options.

This use to be my favorite spot to get everything from Botox, chemical peels IPL and more but my last 2 experience weren’t good. They gave me too many Botox and not evenly but didn’t know until the next day. The last visit I paid for 2 IPL’s and they switch out there IPL machine with a different one without anyone telling me before my appointment so I was surprised and very dissatisfied with the work they did with the new laser. They only lazor spot me and and I had to point out all my spots. She literally rushed me and didn’t do enough for what i paid. This girl seemed so clueless and not knowledgeable of this machine. All the staff seems new in the whole office as well. Wasted 600 from last 2 visits. They’re higher priced than anyone and I use to think they were worth it but not anymore.

please don't trust Dr Hensel and his staff and don't go to this chop shop!! There is no medical ethics in this office!! I went there for filler injection consultation and they gave me high hopes and big expectations but the result was completely different!! a few weeks after injection ,all injected areas were badly swollen and all products were like a big lump under my skin and my lips were as big as a pillow! I was shocked and scared and I panicked ...after 3 months ,I am still suffering and I have sleepless nights and I am embarrassed to go out because my face is really deformed!! as patient as I have been with all these problems,Dr Hensel was not sympathetic at all and did not offer any help! and I wasn't the only one,i was with my two other friends, they did the same procedure and also have problems! Dr Hensel is trying to make money out of everything ,from fixing eyebrows in his office to selling jewelry and shirts to teeth whitening and selling other products,....his office is more like a retail store than a surgeon office!!! he does not even deserve 1 star! I feel so stupid for trusting them!!! please, please don't!!

worst experience EVERRR!!! They told me I only needed cool sculpting for 4500$ I pay it get the procedure no difference and it’s been months I told them I’m unhappy with the results and even the nurse agreed she sees no results. I then see the doctor for the first time and he agreed now I Need a 8000$ procedure and he was only willing to give me 1500$ off so I would be paying basically almost 10000$ for their mistake long story short I’m going to Miami .

My first experience here was for microdermabrasion. The technician was nice and it seemed to brighten my face a bit, but definitely was not something I would do again for $100. One thing I really love about this office is they're always running specials and promotions. They gave me $25 off just for liking their Facebook page. You also get money off if you leave reviews. One downfall with the promotions is that I don't think everyone is on the same page with accurate information about it. I was told multiple times that I would be able to get $50 off by signing up on the Latisse website and was financially prepared for a certain price and then once I was in the office they told me that that was not accurate. So that was pretty frustrating because I feel like if it was my company I would have said, okay well we're going to make sure that we have the manager contact you and take care of this because you were told multiple times the wrong thing. However, with the managers being out of town, I don't think the front desk could do anything at that time other than have the managers contact me, which she did not say that she would do. The second time I went in was for a lash lift and permanent mascara. The negative aspects of it was that they squeeze you into this closet-sized room with another person laying right beside you only a couple feet away. Super awkward at first especially if you're used to being alone getting extensions and such. The other thing is this room is basically in the lobby without even a real door. There's just like a sign that is in between you and the lobby and you can hear everything that's going on in the lobby which doesn't bring the most relaxing environment. Also for such an expensive service, I would assume that they would be paying for a Spotify or Pandora subscription of some sort, but they weren't. So, every few minutes or so in between your stereotypical relaxing music, would be a loud Taco Bell commercial of some sort yelling about nacho fries. I just feel like that's kind of dropping the ball when you own a high-end salon. Also, the lights in that room were so intensely bright that it was really difficult to be looking up while they were doing the procedure. I know that they need bright lights to see but maybe there could be something out there to help with that situation. Like maybe they can switch out the bulbs to something easier on the eyes but still bright. I was super nervous and chatty and my technician was not super sweet or friendly but also was not rude by any means. I just felt like the other girl that was working on the other person had a little bit better bedside manner. There was a few times where she would pull a lash pretty hard to where it would make me jump because it hurt and wouldn't even apologize. They also ran out of under eye pads which is a super big deal to me because instead they just used something similar to medical tape which was super rough and I feel like kind of damaged my skin a little bit. I think that it's kind of un-excusable to run out of such a key thing and still offer that service. Especially without telling people or giving them some sort of discount for not getting what you normally would get. They also said it would be 1.5 hours & it took 2 so I was 45 mins late to work. The positives were that my lashes really do look amazing. It looks like I have extensions only not as many lashes of course but the thickness and the length and everything from the Lash lift and the mascara really makes my eyes pop and I'm super satisfied. I'm very excited to try the Latisse. I will come back to lpsc but I do hope they listen to my feedback. UPDATE: They did call me the next day & told me that they have applied some of the feedback & issued me the $50 previous discounted offer. I will be updating this review after my next visit, to reflect any changes they made.

Went in yesterday for EmSculpt and was kind of nervous before my appointment because I didn't know what to expect. oh my gosh. From the moment I checked in the staff made me feel at ease and were so welcoming! Plus they didn't try to upsell me on anything, which is refreshing. During emsculpt it was such a weird feeling. not bad but weird. However, after I got home even after 1 session my butt was totally lifted and rounder, if that makes sense. I'm really excited to see even more dramatic results after my next treatment

My normal esthetician Melanie was not available for a couple of weeks so I booked with someone new to me, Jennifer. My appointment was at 2:15 so I rushed out of work to make it. At 2:35 I asked "how much longer". I was told at 2:40 that it would be another 15 minutes at least! I was told that they knew "my time was important" (obviously not) and that was it. I had to get back to work and so I left. I'm sure they would laugh at my invoice if I billed them for my time, I don't work for free like most people. Dr. Funcik's office was able to fit me in a cancellation for the next day. I won't be back to LCPSC.

Terrible experience at this poorly run practice. I’ve had several services over the past couple years and two issues continued to occur. One, the front desk staff nearly always leaves patients waiting while they have lengthy personal conversations with other staff or patients. Two, I’ve driven 45 minutes in the middle of my work day and two separate times was told after waiting 20 minutes that my appointment had been rescheduled. The 2nd time, the office manager told me she left me several messages but had to use my slot for a patient that was cancelled due to the hurricane. I’d scheduled 6 weeks prior after my initial microblading service and she did not even attempt to call my cell phone, only an old number that I removed during my demographic update 6 weeks prior. Regardless, she showed me that they had my cell phone in their system but her excuse for not calling was “I’ve been working so much, I must have missed it.” She promised to refund half of my money over a month ago but I haven’t received anything. I had to go to another practice and pay for the entire service again. Fortunately, I was able to book with Morgan (who quit LowCountry months ago) and she corrected the bad job done by staff at LPSC. I discovered later that at least 8 of LPSC’s staff quit the Monday after the storm so they clearly have some serious management issues. BEWARE!

I cannot rave enough about this practice and the service that I received from Dr. Hensel and his staff. From the initial call, to the walk in the door and the entire consult process I felt like I was being treated like a queen. I was greeted at the front desk with smiles and positive vibes! I was given a tour of the office which included a FREE new beauty magazine that by the way Dr. Hensel is featured in AND a free microderm! The office was beautiful. My tour guide Michele made me feel so comfortable with my surroundings. They even showed me a glimpse of the Operating room and I had NO Idea all of the amazing services that they offer. It was eye opening for sure. I met with Katrina afterwards and I am scheduled for my breast augmentation and liposuction with Dr. Hensel and look forward to many more amazing services in the future! This is a Botox clinic. If you have any legitimate condition, as I did, it's difficult to get an appointment. I had skin cancer and couldn't be seen for weeks but could be seen for Botox the next day. They're all about money with little care for patients.

5 years ago I did cool sculpting. Didn’t go back because I saw no results and talking to a New York plastic surgeon who is one of the top plastic surgeons in the country said cool sculpting is dangerous and could give you frost bite. That I was very lucky. They still have 2,500 of my money that they refuse to give back after I never went back for the second procedure. There scam artists, crooks and blocked me on Facebook after deleting my comment about keeping money that doesn’t belong to them. Do not use them there just after your money. Keep in mind I’ve lived in NY the past two years and they are still holding my money! I’m going to continue to let the world know on every social media platform until they give me my money back!

Customer service goes a long way. I will not promote their practice ever again.

I could never, in good faith, recommend Lowcountry. I paid for services upfront and showed for 2 scheduled appointments to find out the staff members were not available. No call, no cancellation, absolutely the worst customer service. I have to give them an undeserved star to post a review. I have never written a bad review of anyone but his place was terrible in their follow-up. I received the DaVinci teeth whitening treatment at Lowcountry Plastic Surgery Center and suffered very bad chemical burns to my mouth and lips due to extremely poor instructions by the staff. The burns were very painful (felt like 100 canker sores and looked worse) for almost a week. I could hardly eat and sleep it was so painful. There was no attempt by the staff to take responsibility, no follow-up despite my phone call telling them of my situation, and no follow-up despite a letter from me asking for my money back. They could have cared less. I would never go to this place again and they are not professional.

My experience with LCPS could not have been better. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. Dr Hensel told me everything I needed to know to make an informed decision when planning my breast augmentation, which included removal of implants from a previous augmentation. He listened to the outcome that I was expecting and advised me of the implant size that would achieve it. He was 100% right! I am so happy with the results. This was the easiest procedure I ever could have imagined! I was leaving the office an hour and a half after surgery. I had zero pain and went on with my day without taking any pain meds! Unbelievably, I did not even feel the need to go home and rest. I was out and about the rest of the day. I never had to take one of the pain meds prescribed at any time during my recovery. I believe the preparation advice given by LCPS prior to surgery made all the difference. If you are considering this procedure, I would highly recommend Dr. Hensel. You will not regret it!!

Very unprofessional. Rescheduled me with a different person who wasn’t even trained to do the makeup I had already paid a deposit for and didn’t tell me until I showed up outside normal business hours for my appointment. Now I have to try and get my money refunded because I’m not paying for a newbie to do this when I paid for an experienced job. A little honesty would have gone a long way rather than me showing up for an appointment I wouldn’t be able to get.
