It would be quite a challenge to find a better team than Dr. Nyame's. This was my first experience having plastic surgery, so naturally I was extremely nervous and worried to say the least. With each visit prior to having my breast augmentation, Dr. Nyame was able to soothe my nerves and answer any and all questions that popped into mind. He was calm, caring and reassuring. I was certain that I was in good hands. The day of surgery went smoothly and just as I had expected. Everything that Dr. Nyame and his staff had walked me through during our earlier visits is exactly what took place. I remember Dr. Nyame once saying that after the surgery I would be thinking to myself - Why did I wait so long to do this? He was absolutely right. 1 1/2 weeks post surgery and so far, I could not be happier. I can only imagine what the results will look like once they are fully healed. To say I recommend Dr. Nyame is an understatement. I am truly grateful for him and his team!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nyame. Everyone in the office and on Dr. Nyame's team is wonderful. Dr. Nyame spent plenty of time with me reviewing the procedure, answering all my questions, and making sure I was comfortable. Never once did he try to sway my opinion or discourage me from what I wanted. The 3D imaging system really helped tremendously as well in my decision making process before the procedure. I started as a small B and got smallish (335cc) implants. He and his team took great care of me through the entire process. The day of surgery and the following recovery was a breeze because I went in prepared, knowledgable, and knew exactly what to expect. Dr. Nyame was very upfront about how I was going to feel along all parts of the process. Everyone on the surgical staff was great - I loved both of my very caring and comforting nurses. I am incredibly happy with my results. Granted, I am only a week and a half post-op, but I know they're going to be amazing and exactly what I wanted. If anyone ever mentions breast augmentation I will whole heartedly insist on them seeing Dr. Nyame! If you're scared of the procedure because of pain, I'd tell you truthfully that the pain is not bad at all, I described it as more of a discomfort than pain, so don't let that discourage you!

Getting a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. What has worked for me is turning the burden of my breast health over to the Lord and finding the right surgeons. God blessed and gave me a wonderful surgical oncologist in Dr. Peter Turk who referred me to my plastic surgeon, Dr. Theo Nyame. At our first meeting any concerns I had about reconstructive surgery were over. I had met a surgeon I could trust and let him take over. Now, this doesn’t mean my wishes for the type of reconstruction weren’t a top priority, but once we agreed on a Plan A and Plan B, I didn’t need to be concerned anymore. Dr. Nyame is a perfectionist and an artist when it comes to his work. My original breasts weren’t too impressive and my husband says just two weeks out from surgery they looked a lot better than my old ones. This doesn’t hurt my feelings, but just makes me more grateful that God has given me an awesome plastic surgeon. After reading online reviews,his biography and meeting him and his staff, I knew Dr. Nyame was the one to do my surgery. Excellent bedside manner, paid attention to detail, made me feel right at home, I never felt rushed or pressured, perfectionist. He listened to what I really wanted- a reeeeeeally natural look! My results? - Amazing! Better than I could have ever imagined, and I am just 7 weeks post-op! I was back to work a week later. Dr. Nyame did a wonderful job on my breast augmentation. This was my first major surgery and I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Nyame and the team made me feel incredibly comfortable. I wanted to feel great in my skin as I was getting married just 2 months after the surgery. I rested for 4 days and was back to work. I was walking outside on day 2 after the surgery. I know everyone heals differently, but I healed very quickly and properly with no complications and minimal scaring. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nyame. I did a lot of research looking for a plastic surgeon before I even went in for a consult. Dr. Nyame is the only doctor that took the time to get to know me before even starting the consultation. He was very detail oriented and even took notes on my children's names. I'll have to admit that before Easter Saturday 2018 I was skeptical of the practice of plastic surgery, that it was for the privileged and vain. All that changed the night my 10 yr old daughter was admitted to Presbyterian's Children's ER. She had sustained multiple dog bites to her face, specifically her mouth and lips, and hands. Dr Nyame (Dr Theo to us now) with the tiniest and most precise surgery, put my beautiful daughter back together again. He was so kind and calm. Reassured us that this was fixable and even managed to make us laugh. Let me sit right next to her during all of the reconstruction. Calmed me down when I fell apart after they started her ketamine drip. We forget that plastic surgeon is there for us not only to help us look like our best selves but also in the middle of the night during our worst fears come true. Only a week and a half has gone by and honestly I am shocked at how well my daughter looks. She is truly and unbelievably almost back to her old self. She looked in the mirror the other day and said "Dr Theo is amazing. He is a miracle worker" I completely agree. Dr. Nyame is amazing! I had seen him for a scar revision for a very thick, red painful scar done by a dermatologist. I had consulted with several doctors. What set Dr. Nyame apart was how extremely detail oriented he was down to the most minute detail. He listened to my story, truly really listened (and it was a long story). Dr Nyame told me all the things that he would have done differently and how he would approach the scar if he was to do a revision. I was so impressed with how detail oriented he was. Dr. Nyame Where can I begin..... Dr. Nyame prides himself off of being ethical with his medical care . He is the consummate professional who shows that he is more about quality than quantity. To give a little bit of background information. I had a cosmetic procedure ( BBL and Lipo) performed in Miami, Florida. As a result of the procedure I experienced some complications resulting in a large seroma on the left side of my stomach . Mind you the Seroma was present at my last post-op appointment with the surgeon in Miami. The seroma was drained, however, there were no significant recommendations given to me as next steps by the physician . In fact, the physician’s exact words were as follows: “ Well you are planning to have a tummy tuck in the upcoming months anyway so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.” This left me feeling very unsettled given the fact I was returning to Charlotte, NC, and in my mind I was thinking that no physician would want to come behind another physician’s work . Upon me researching information I learned that, in most cases the seroma would have to be drained multiple times; the body could reabsorb it. However, given the large size of my seroma I knew that it would be necessary for me to be seen by a local board certified plastic surgeon here in Charlotte . I decided to reach out to Dr. Nyame via direct message on Instagram. Due to the late hour that I made contact with him I wasn’t expecting him to reply so soon, but he was very prompt in encouraging me to contact his office. I felt so embarrassed and humiliated by having to do this, but at the same time my seroma was becoming larger and larger by the day. Dr. Nyame along with his nurse, Amanda, were very professional, nurturing,supportive, and helped ease my anxiety along with my embarrassment. His level of humility made me feel comfortable and gave me reassurance that everything would be okay. He took the time to get to know me as well as, to get a better grasp/concept of my procedure and my concerns. Both Dr. Nyame along with his nurse, Amanda, provided me with follow up care recommendations which is something that wasn’t provided to me in Miami. He also contacted me in the following days to check on my well being . I am forever grateful and appreciative of the level of care that he provided me along with his willingness to treat my medical complications that was caused at the hands of another physician. Not many doctors would have been willing to take on my case. So, this speaks volumes about his level of commitment with providing quality care and service.

Where to begin? I knew from the minute that I met Dr. Nyame for my consultation that it was the right fit. It was my third consult for a breast augmentation with a lift, and I was hopeful for a good visit as the previous consults left me wishing for more. I had my breast augmentation. done on the 21st Oct 2015. I am extremely happy with my results so much. Dr Theo Nyame performed my surgery and the results are better then i ever imagined. I would highly recommend him. The scaring is minimal and they have settled very quickly and look very natural. I was what i would say a small B cup and went to D cup. I feel amazing now and they just look incredible. I am 52 yrs of age and thought maybe a bit late in life to bother, but in the end i decided its what i really wanted to do to give me a more youthful look and to give me more fullness in the upper breast area. I have emailed many times and she always responds timely and offers me an appointment to come see them so I could be put at ease. From the moment I first walked into my consultation to the moment I walked out of the recovery room I was truly cared for as more than just a client/patient but as a person. Before my review, I want to point out that my mother and I visited and counseled with many different plastic surgeons in different cities before making a final choice. My situation involved the restructuring of my very crooked and deviated septum. (nose) As anyone in a similar situation knows, the decision to actually have plastic surgery is personal, scary, and should be well thought out. To me, so should picking your plastic surgeon. During our mission to make an educated and well informed decision, we crossed paths with a myriad of personalities and philosophies from all different types of plastic surgeons. Most of them seemed to simply tell me what they thought I wanted to hear. Some of them didn’t even look at the inside of my nose. Then, luckily, we interviewed with Dr. Nyame. When I first met Dr. Nyame, he was very personable, charismatic, and seemed genuinely interested in meeting me and listening to my story. And he seemed to understand my goals and my concerns about the complex situation at hand. During our talk, Dr. Nyame was clearly the most knowledgeable doctor we’d met, and I actually felt like he cared about me as a person. He looked inside my nose very thoroughly and asked me a lot of great questions. Through it all, his philosophy about my nose looking natural and fitting my face seemed most important to Dr. Nyame. He was very clear about that. Because of his knowledge, experience, personality, caring, and intelligence compared to the others, I decided I felt the same way, believed in his vision for me, and scheduled the procedure with him. Throughout the day of surgery, Dr. Nyame and his team made sure I was comfortable and aware of all that was about to happen to me and made sure I understood everything I needed to do to get ready for all aspects of the surgery. Needless to say, the surgery went smoothly. The whole surgical team made sure I was safe, comfortable, and answered any questions I had afterwards. Incidentally, the facility was beautifulI and clean, but to me, buildings don’t perform great surgeries, great surgeons do. So the building was not very important to me. It is now six months later. Everything is healed and has turned out better than I hoped for. For most of my life, over two decades, I had dealt with ridicule, poor breathing, and low self esteem. Even having a simple photo taken of me made my stomach drop. Thanks to Dr Nyame, I am a changed woman. He has given me self-confidence that I never had and has made this an incredible experience that I will never forget. He should get 10 stars. Thank you Dr. Nyame - you’ve changed my life forever.

All the praise you read about Dr. Nyame and his team is true. He’s a gifted yet humble surgeon who’s surrounded himself with a most incredible team. From start to finish...they were rock star status all around!! I must admit that, for decades, I felt that plastic surgery was cheating but, even though I hadn’t lost the 30 lbs I’d told myself I had to lose in order to justify surgery, I decided to pull the trigger and get a breast lift anyway. I wasn’t getting any younger and I was seriously looking like a model for an over-the-hill greeting-card. To prepare for surgery, I scrolled through all the before/after pictures, and realized I would seriously kick myself if I didn’t get a tummy tuck at the same time…so I did, and it was a fantastic decision. If you do decide to pull the trigger, here are some items that will help during your recovery. • Small step stool to get in and out of bed • Some PVC pipe insulation to put over any drawer handles that might catch the drain tubes if you get too close. I couldn’t believe the high note I hit when a drain tube got caught on a handle…it was Ave Maria on steroids. • Folding seat for the shower. It’s also great to rest your foot on when shaving your legs. • A lanyard to put round your neck and hook the drains onto while taking a shower. • A crab-shack apron for the shower. If you’re a bit uneasy taking that first shower then get a flimsy plastic apron (or just cut holes in a big trash bag and create an apron-type cover). I only used my trash-bag-attire twice but it eased my mind while feeling like a member of the Borg-collective. • Soft bath sponge with a long handle. • Yeti container with a straw top. This was a lifesaver as it was 100% watertight so, even in my exhausted state, I could still drag my water bottle sideways from the nightstand and not spill a drop. • Cough drops. You don’t want to cough so if you have even the slightest tickle in your throat then cough drops are a must. • Hospital-bed rolling table. You can buy one at Walmart for $50.00 or $60.00 and it’s great to keep everything in reach. • Hand-held reacher to capture those things that a) land on the floor b) are just out of reach on the nightstand / hospital-bed rolling table / bed / sofa. Oh…and take it in the shower with you because you are gonna drop something at some point. • Soft cotton sleeveless t-shirts to wear under the tummy compression garment. • Roll of thin craft foam to replace or add-to the tummy compression garment. • A 7-slot bead/jewelry container to put your medication in, and a Sharpie pen to write the day and time you should take the meds. Craft stores carry the containers and it’s so much easier to sort out your meds before hand than to keep opening bottles twice a day. Because, guess what? You are gonna drop those bottles and if you don’t have a reacher you can’t pick them up. • Eat a few almonds every day to get through any digestive issues. One final thought…if you feel you have to lose weight in order to justify plastic surgery then kick that thought to the curb. Plastic surgery isn’t weight loss, it's contouring; but the contouring is so transformative that it gives you a fresh start and a chance to hit the reset button; so much so, you’ll wonder why you didn’t have it done sooner. Dr. Nyame and his team will take marvelous care of you and you’ll thank yourself every day for that fresh new start, plus you’ll love what you see in the mirror and you’ll never be afraid to go swimsuit shopping again!

Let me start by saying I never do reviews but this one I felt compelled to do because of my experience. I did research on tummy tuck surgery for over a year and on most sites Dr. Nyame's name came up. I figured it was just good marketing but scheduled a consultation to find out for myself. I was impressed from the moment we met. We spent about 20 minutes just talking about me before we even started talking about why I came in for a consult. Most of my other doctors I met just wanted to cut to the chase but Dr. Nyame really wanted to know about me. He wanted to know what things we had in common and of the things we didn't have in common he asked me to help broaden his knowledge. He was very approachable and humble which I loved. When we got to the actual consult he was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions directly. I left the initial consult feeling pretty sure he was going to be my surgeon. I even asked about other surgeons to see if he would be disparaging and he spoke kindly of others in the same area. The day of surgery was incredibly smooth. Dr. Nyame stood at my side as I was going to sleep and he was the last person I recall seeing. He was there when I woke up and even called me the night of surgery to check on me. So far I could not be happier with my results. Choosing a surgeon for me was a personal decision. Everything about Dr. Nyame and his office was exceptional. I am truly happy I chose him as my surgeon.

As one of the few men to provide a review on behalf of Dr. Nyame, I am incredibly pleased to confirm what many men are wondering (and many are nervous about), that as we age we don't have to live with enlarged breast tissue. I have been embarrassed by my appearance when going shirtless, and it took two grandsons that had fun pounding on my chest to make me explore my options. I knew about the long history of Charlotte Plastic Surgery as our son had similar surgery when he was in the 8th grade (cysts were discovered and removed) and it changed his life (he's now a 38 year old dentist, so it has been a while, which also confirms the culture of the practice of taking care of patients). So, I knew where I wanted the surgery but I did not know a surgeon to request as our son's doctor had long since retired. When I described that I needed to explore gynecomastia, the kind folks in the office recommended Dr. Nyame, and i am incredibly pleased they did.
