One triage person stays behind a door in a room. While I was there for 2 hours and understood patients with worse pains would be seen first, I didn't see one patient go in. There was even a patient screaming on floor with Chrons disease flaring, and only other patients and families consoled her etc. The one staff member just watched through window. I've seen low quality hospitals full of people give better care. It was so slow in there. This hospital made it clear it didn't want to see anyone. Heart breaking. Decided to just leave. It was uncomfortable.

After a horrific experience here with a family member last year I’m back in ER with my elderly mom who was brought here by rescue. How long does one stay in the ER without treatment? Patients screaming in pain, are they just understaffed? I keep hearing the staff talk about the Patriots I guess they have time for that.

Worst experience of my life. Sat in the waiting room 3 hours one day and came back next day after not being seen. Once I was brought in the back I was told within 2 hours I was being admitted and they had a room yet I sat in the ER for 10 hours before I was brought up. From the start my nurse was unconcerned with my symptoms and would ignore my requests for meds and to even speak with my doctor. Today before lunch I asked for nausea medicine 3 times and was ignored each time. I ate my lunch to throw it all up. I was handed a bucket and continued pjking until I passed out. They transferred me to another floor where I came back to and told them I was in unbearable pain and felt like I was going to pass out. Finally my blood sugar and heart was checked; my blood sugar was 25. I've never passed out or been so disregarded as a patient. The doctor came in and asked why I was so upset so I proceeded to tell her how I was treated horribly and ignored and I've never lost consciousness with a low blood sugar before. Her response: " Don't take it personal, that nurse is hard on everyone." Keep that in mind when you or a family member need medical attention because I will never come back her again.

I am so incredibly grateful to the doctors and staff here at kent ICU. My sister who is severely ill, has been receiving the most caring treatment ive seen in any hospital. My family and myself are so grateful.

Brought my mother there today for a procedure at the surgical building upon leaving I pull up to the door to retreive my mother and the car in front of me was waiting for a worker to come out. How do I know she worked there she came out in a uniform and id badge. The car had plenty of room to back up and drive out. Instead he start screaming and swearing at me for getting out of my car to retrieve my mother ( who is a amputee to boot) because he felt I should have drove around the circle to let him back up. Shame on that nurse/worker who allowed their husband or boyfriend to scream at a patron that way. I did report the incident to security with the cars licence plate number and description of the car and the worker that was getting into the car. I will be calling human resources in the am.

OUTSTANDING!! Cannot compare to Woman and Infants especially if your deciding where to have your baby delivered! Hospitality at its FINEST! Staff is so informational. I literally have nothing bad to say about KENT! Keep up the amazing teamwork guys!!!

It seems like they put more money into remodeling the hospital than they do in the quality of care given to the patients and cleanliness considering they are a HOSPITAL with SICK PEOPLE!!!!!!! The staff that works there should be ashamed.

I recently had my baby at Kent. It was the most awful experience of my life. The memory of my childs birth will forever be tainted by the awful experience I had at Kent County Hospital labor and delivery. If your doctor only delivers at Kent, switch doctors. It doesn’t matter how much you love them! Switch. It’s not worth it. I wish I had listened to my specialist who told me at 8 months pregnant to switch and not have my baby there!! Pretty telling when another doctor advises against a hospital and an ob. I suffered for not heading the warning. I partially blame the obgyn for my poor outcome of my health and my overall experience. Do not go to Caring for Women. While the support staff is amazing, the actual doctors lack immensely. Sadly the doctor is what counts in the end when you’re having a baby. This hospital needs to clean house with its old staff who think they run the show and overstep their boundaries. Patients are paying customers. My familys medical expenses are astronomical! Like many families now, we pay a lot of money for our insurance and medical needs. We deserve to be treated as the paying customers we are!! Closing note to Kent hospital - You should really consider drug testing your anesthesiologists!!! Damage was done to me. Some permanent. I do not recommend this hospital to any mom to be!! Have your baby somewhere else!

I notice that all the reviews have been deleted, anyways let me tell how bad Kent hospital is again . The doctors and nurses are horrible. They like to kill with morphine. The nurses took the life of my father in August 2016 and my neighbor who was just going to be discharge in November 2017. My dad was never in pain and I was his power of attorney and they the nurses at Kent killed him with morphine. My neighbor was just going to be discharge and the hospital took his life, he leaves behind two young children. There was also a Asian female doctor in the ICU that made a theat by saying that she was going to send my father to some hospice building in Providence. Kent hospital needs to be shut down. My father also got Mrsa at Kent during his stay there. The doctors and nurses treat you like an animal by giving you morphine to kill you. The nurses wouldn't let my dad eat or drink so he would die faster, but the morphine killed him faster. Stay far away from Kent! The only good thing about Kent Hospital is Dr. Thomas Raimondo! I wish that Dr Raimondo would join Lifespan.
