Just recently, this January and February, 2014, I called 2x and E Mailed many times about information I need from her for a court case that may benefit ALL transgender people, Dr McGinn REFUSED to answer my phone calls and e mails. It wasn't UNTIL I told her office that if I DO NOT receive this information, in writing, which she told my therapist and my therapist said Dr McGinn says she could do the corrective surgery, then I will SUBPEONA Dr. McGinn in order to get the information I need. When I WAS a patient, back in 2008,2009 I called the office in May of 2013, to ask a medical question about the surgery Dr. McGinn did in 2008. Her secretary told me the doctor will call you back. 1 week goes by no call, 2nd week goes by no call, 3rd week goes by no call 4th week goes by no call. Finally after 5 WEEKS she calls only because I had to e mail the office that I haven't heard from them. Doctor McGinn doesn't even apologize for returning a call soooooooooo late. She wouldn't give me an answer why it took 5 weeks to return my call. She was arrogant and rude during the phone call, so I said if thats the way you treat your patients then your Fired. In a 2nd complaint, against this doctor, I Tried CALLING and E MAIL, NEVER even ANSWERED my calls or e mails, I asked doctor then to send information I needed for a court case against Medicare that would benefit ALL transgender people, or just FAX it to my therapist, Dr McGinn wouldn't even do that!!!!!!!! I need the information she told my therapist the corrective surgery she was going to do, because 1st surgery didn't come out as planned. FINALLY after I told her office that I will subpeona Dr McGinn for the information, she told my therapist and EVEN started telling me how she was going to correct the surgery, I need it in writing for court. Only after I told her about the subpeona Dr. McGinn FINALLY sent me an e mail after a month asking for this information and what I needed if for. Dr McGinn LACKS professionalism and that's why I had to select ANOTHER surgeon to do her job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My issue is that there is zero contact between doctor and the patients family. We waited hours to hear how the surgery went. When I spoke with the recovery nurse she said I'd receive a call from the doctor, drove another two hours to the hospital and still nothing. It is totally unprofessional to have a family member have surgery and not receive any communication from the physician.

Dr. Mcginn is an artist, “the art of medicine.” I had Gcs with the good doctor in Jan 2019. I am so so happy with the results. I had no complications, all has went well. It is taking awhile for all the swelling to go down, but this has been expected. I feel so awesome at times it overwhelms me. I have made my peace with dilation and in some odd way I look forward to the “quiet time” I spend with dilator in hand and doggie lying next to me. Lola (my doggie) is my dilation buddy-I know I know sounds weird, but I assure you it’s not. Anyway the Doctor has created this whole experience with her office and PAs which are truly outstanding and caring. I hold all of them in the highest regard.

Dr. McGinn is truly fabulous and amazing! She did my GCS surgery in June 2015 and answered all of my questions to my full satisfaction. Her staff are wonderful and have time for you even after surgery and, along with Dr. McGinn, put to rest any fears or concerns one may have even post-op. If I had to do it all over again, which I won't, I'd still go with Dr. McGinn and her staff at the Papillon Center! The quality of the surgery was truly something to be seen to be fully appreciated.
