After a significant weight loss in my early 20s and several years of contemplating breast augmentation, I decided that this year I was going to finally take the plunge and have this procedure done. I scheduled my first consultation with Dr. Louton the day after New Years. I have to say that I was extremely nervous, but all that dissipated quickly after speaking with Dr. Louton and his staff (Consultation was located in the State College office) I felt very comfortable, all my questions were answered, and I was explained in detail what would be taking place. Scheduling was unbelievably easy, I was only able to take off work a specific week that month and there was actually an opening! Only days later I had scheduled the big day! I then ventured to the Altoona office for my postop appointment and the staff were just as warm and welcoming as they were in State College. Now I’m one month into my recovery and I am extremely happy with my results and my overall experience. Everything was just very easy to put plainly. I also had weekly appointments after my surgery so that Dr. Louton could make sure I was healing properly. They carefully explained what I needed to be doing, what I needed to stay away from and I honestly felt cared for. These people actually care about you and making sure you look and feel amazing.

I had my first appt today with Dr. Robert Louton and was truly disappointed with how I was treated by him. First, I waited an 1hr/40 min to see him. I have RA and I get cold easily and start locking up. It was very cold in the office. After waiting an 1hr/ 20 minutes in a cold room I asked if there was any way to turn down the air conditioning in there while I waited. Apparently that was a big No-No. 20 mins later he finally walks in. I got no apology for having to wait as long as I did. He asked why I have come. I explained that I have a spot that was a concern to me and also was interested in mole removal. He offered laser removal. He told me he uses a numbing cream. I asked him if there was something in addition to the cream because I don't do well with needles and things, sounded painful. Normally people are sympathetic and accommodating. He was very short unsympathetic and sarcastic with me in his tone. I explained myself..He asked me if I ever went to the dentist office? I said yes. He said well they give a numbing cream there. It's no different than going to the dentist office he said. I have only had one procedure done at the dentist office and they used needles and laughing gas not numbing cream. I was thrown back by his response and did not say anything at first. Because I did not say anything he then said to me, "How about we don't do it then". I thought this response was really odd...and again was speechless. I simply asked him, "So you're not going to give me time to even think about this?" I went on to explain that this was the first time that I have spoken to anyone about mole removal. I just didn't know what to expect. How does someone with a first-time client, being so short with them and unsympathetic stay in business, I don't know... I definitely won't be having any procedures done with him after being treated this way. I really don't think we started off well and I don't trust him to do a good job.

I am beyond happy with my body now after having to get a hysterectomy at 20 and then getting the wonderful spare tire over the course of 8 years. Didn't matter what my diet was, or how much i worked out, I always had it and was very unhappy being toned everywhere else on my body except my stomach and love handles. Dr. Louton gave me no judgment, he was very kind, informative, and so were all the staff. He had actually suggested I could get abdominoplasty on top of the lipo, however I declined, and he never pressured me or continued to talk to me about it and instead we stuck with the plan of liposuction. I thought the process was going to be long and expensive, and even scheduling helped me out to get my lipo faster because I was only going to be in town for six weeks. I saw a difference right after the procedure, bigger difference after 6 months, and the beautiful final result of his work almost a year later to the date of my surgery. I cannot thank Dr. Louton and his staff enough for FINALLY, after 29 years, giving me the confidence I always dreamed of having for the first time in my life. After this experience, I just want everyone to know if you are not happy with your body and considering this option, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Would give infinite stars if I could!
