I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bartholomew. After wanting and looking forward to having a breast reduction for years, I finally felt ready to undergo the surgical procedure and had my reduction last week. Every interaction I had with Dr. Bartholomew prior to and after surgery has been lovely. He is highly professional in demeanor and appearance, warm and engaging as a practitioner, answering all of my questions without making me feel rushed, and is a SUPERB technician. I had utmost faith in his skills already, preoperatively, but when he spent 15 minutes marking and measuring me at the bedside immediately prior to entering the operating room, I knew for sure that both my husband and I would be happy with both the results AND my treatment under anesthesia. I LOVE my new breasts! Dr. Bartholomew is fantastic and I feel so grateful for his care.

Dr. Bartholomew is a wonderful doctor. I had abdominal surgery last year and he took really good care of me. He has also seen me for a trigger finger. May have to have minor surgery to relieve it. Hope the steroid injections prevent that. Trust him completely.

I agree with all of these glowing reviews about Dr. Bartholomew and his staff. My teenage son had been dealing with gynecomastia for a couple of years, which was affecting his self esteem and his willingness/ability to participate fully in his teenage boy life. Choosing a doctor I trusted to do surgery on my child was nerve-racking, but from our first meeting on, I only grew more comfortable with Dr. Bartholomew. His background: education/training/experience is impressive itself, and his demeanor was the icing on the cake. IMO, the perfect blend of warmth and professionalism. Equally as important, my son really liked, trusted and respected him. A few weeks post op now, my son is healing nicely and his chest looks great already. He's incredibly happy with the results and looking forward to upcoming school and activities without this issue to worry about.

I had a mixed experience here, but The Good: Dr. Bartholomew was friendly and personable and the first doctor I had had to correctly identify the mysteriously tumor in my finger which was a huge relief. The surgery was easy and uncomplicated and I felt like I was in great hands. The bad: the follow-up was lacking. No one called to check in after surgery to see how things were, and I had an allergic reaction to the medication I was prescribed. Not their fault, obviously, but both times I needed prescriptions, the staff never relayed that information to the doctors and I ended up leaving empty handed, in a lot of pain. (I thought it was a fluke the first time, so I didn't complain, but when it happened a second time two weeks later, I realized this might be a recurring problem.) The staff is friendly and kind and everyone is very competent, so I'm not sure why the communication seems to be such an issue? In all, I would say, great doctor and care, but be prepared to ask for everything you need, multiple times, and be very proactive with your own recovery.

I recently met with Dr. Bartholomew for the first time. I found him to have a friendly and caring "bedside manner", to be very knowledgeable, able to speak in away that the lay person could easily understand, and he was able to provide treatment that was relatively pain free and with no further complications. Both in the office, as well as in a follow up phone conversation, I felt that I had his undivided attention - he was willing to spend as much time as was needed to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. His staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. I would strongly encourage others to make use of his service. Should the need arise in the future, I will most definitely use his services again.
