My teen son required surgery to remove a bad mole on his scalp (bad meaning it is the type that often turns cancerous). A couple dermatologists didn't want to touch it because scalp surgery is very difficult. We got referred to Dr. Hu and she excellent. He staff is wonderful and attentive. Highly reccommended!

I have always believed that when it comes to a surgeon, I do not care about bedside manner. It's about having the smartest and most skilled person in their field standing at your side. Rarely are you lucky enough to find a bedside manner to accompany the skill. Dr. Hu is one of those people. A history of malignant melanoma is scary enough, much less when a lesion is taken off your face. The end results are amazing. One month out and the scar is barely noticeable. Post-operative skin surgery is painful--this wasn't. Throughout the process, we were actually laughing and telling stories that made me feel incredibly at ease. Her office staff are equally talented and personal. I refer people to professionals on a very selective basis because my profession allows me to see practitioners that are not great at their crafts. I recommend Dr. Hu without reservation.

I was referred to Dr. Hu by another Dr. It was the best thing that could have happened. Dr. Hu and her staff were sensitive and in sync with me, as I was a bit nervous, very tentative, and not entirely certain about the particulars of what I needed... From the very beginning intake, they were thorough, professional, and most of all accepting and welcoming. Then came the time in which they truly shone in excellence and care: I developed post-surgical infection that presented a lot of challenges. They did not abandon me, leaving me to fend for myself as "unlucky"...no! They stepped up and battled with me, at times battling FOR me when I was too weak or too discouraged to do so myself. If you face a challenge that feels like you cannot conquer, and you are reading here looking for a Doctor, then I can assure you that you are in the very best of hands here. I personally experienced Dr. Hu's fierce compassion, unrelenting optimism, and deeply professional heart. She stands rooted and grounded in her extensive knowledge of human biology and surgical techniques, and uses this foundation to build for her patients a house of healing and restoration as she wears the cheerleader hat, the healer hat, and the Nurturer hat. Even after everything was "finished", I would go thru it all again because I was transformed inside me as well as outside me. It was the best decision of my life

I was originally referred to Dr. Hu via Dermatology Assoc. for scar repair after surgery to remove melanoma. I hated my scar and Dr. Hu was AMAZING! She set realistic goals for my forehead scar and the results were FAR BETTER then I though possible. Since my initial appointment I have had lots of fun stuff done! The entire team is amazing and caring. I now use them for facials, peels, product and other fun and amazing age remedies. I LOVE this office! I feel cared for and always feel I'm getting honest and reliable information from Dr. Hu and each of her team members. If your looking for a little "pick me up" and maybe want advice on wrinkles, fillers, age spots......Dr. Hu has what your looking for and more! I love this woman and her team. They are so detail oriented and care about how you feel. I had a breast reduction and I'm so glad I came to Dr. Hu and her team. This was hands down the best decision to come here. I love my results. I'm so grateful to have met this wonderful team. Plus added bonus, she's right at Legacy Hospital in Tualatin. My surgery was in the Hospital itself. That's what I wanted so much. The surgery team that morning of my surgery, was funny and kind and very considerate of my nervousness and feelings. It was a great experience and life choice. I don't regret. She does more than just breast reduction too. Her office is so adorable and cozy! Dr. Hu reminds me of a beautiful butterfly. Her outfits look like they have wings of flowers on them. She is just such a kind and understanding person. They also work with women who have had cancer. I was so impressed with that. She also has facials available. Which are fabulous and so relaxing. I love this team of great people! I'm very grateful and I feel so blessed to have had Dr. Hu and her team to work with. I waz fortunate at recieve a facial with Lauren and it was excellent. She addressed my concerns about sun damage. I pointed out a blackhead that no one could ever remove. She said she could and she did. It took some pain and pushing, it is gone. I said she's a miricle worker. Pamper yourself it is worth it! Professional front desk and office.

Dr. Hu's staff is amazing with Andrea answering the phones/scheduling and along with Andie and Heather as the nurses who care about their patients. Not only does Dr. Hu's staff adore their boss, but also the hospital staff at Legacy love Dr. Hu, because the Legacy staff will work along side with Dr. Hu -all day- with back to back surgeries. Dr. Hu is a miracle worker because she had to redo someone else's reconstruction work, take out rotated implants, scar tissue, etc., and then Dr. Hu had to perform from scratch. She is a brilliant, passionate surgeon, an artist, caring, compassionate to her patients, and a miracle worker. Dr. Hu is a godsend. My confidence is back! I feel wonderful with no more pain! I can now truly look at myself in the mirror which I have not been able to do in 3 years. I am beyond grateful!!! Dr. Hu was also nominated for a compassion award with Breast Friends. I look and feel amazing! YOU HAVE TO SEE DR. HU before you make any decisions for revisions or reconstruction work due to breast cancer. I have searched and looked for the right plastic surgeon to fix me for 3 years and Dr. Hu and her staff are the best!!! THANK YOU DR. HU for giving my self-confidence back!!!!! I just can't say enough how happy I am with my results from Dr Hu's work. My life has changed so drastically! Before my procedure I would hide my body from even my husband (because of my own insecurities of my body.. He loved me no matter what!) and now I am confident in front of him! It is amazing how part of your physical appearance can effect you mentally and emotionally in such a powerfully negative way.. No more of that for me now thanks to Dr Hu! Dr Hu was originally referred to me to remove a Basel Cell Carcinoma on my neck. The scar location would definitely be apparent if not done with with great finesse, because of the wearing of necklaces and earrings in the future. Her office staff was pleasant and informative as soon as I opened the door for the consultation. From the beginning, Dr Hu explained fully the upcoming procedure and all the details, answering my many questions. At the time of the surgery, all those involved with the procedure were competent, friendly and efficient so I could put my concerns out of my mind. Actually, there wasn't much pain involved post op and my follow up visits have all been positive and gratifying, as I'm seeing the scar fade into the natural lines of my neck. I could not be more pleased. I would gladly recommend Dr. Hu to whomever would ask me about her!!

I was referred to Dr Hu from my dermatologist, for closure following a Moh's procedure on my nose. Neither she nor I could predict how extensive the Moh's would be prior to my surgery date with her since the Moh's and her surgery procedures were timed very close together. She gave me numerous options depending on how extensive the Moh's ended up being. My situation was also complicated by my previously having radiation on my nose for a prior skin cancer. When we met again minutes before going into the O.R., was when she saw finally saw what she actually had to work with. She told me her final plan then. I was amazed when the bandages came off the day after surgery how good it looked. Once the stitches came out, it is unbelievable but you can not even see where she took skin from my cheek and made a flap to cover the hole in my nose. This is my 6th incidence of skin cancer, and she is my surgeon of choice when (not if) I have another skin cancer and need cosmetic surgery on my face.
