I had basal cell cancer on my nose. Turned out to be a lot bigger than they thought it would be. I was terrified to say the least. After they removed the cancer I went straight to see Dr. Shadfar. He looked at it and told me exactly what they were going to do the next morning when they did the flap. The flap was completed the next morning and I spent one night in the hospital. For the next 3 weeks I was to do nothing but sit on the couch. For anyone that knows me I thought this was impossible but as Dr Shadfar explained this helped the healing process and this was what I had to do. Through this whole process if I had a question or was unsure how something looked I texted Dr. Shadfar and he would call or text me and tell me everything was ok. You don't find many doctors that will do that. After the 3 weeks were up I went back in to have the flap removed and went home after that. Through out the year I have gone back for checkups to see how things were looking. Dr. Shadfar and his whole staff are great. Even though I have finished my last appointment with them I can not say enough good things about him and the work he did for me. No one can tell I had it done and that is saying a lot. I would highly recommend Dr. Shadfar. Thank you so much for everything.

Dr. Shadfar and his staff ( especially Katie!) Were responsive, respectful and incredibly professional! Dr. Shadfar is a bit of a miracle worker. Had basal cell carcinoma on my nose and a huge chunk of my nose had to be removed to get it all. So here I am three months post surgery and people at work kid me that I never had the basal cell surgery that I had photoshopped a large hole on a picture of my nose. An unexpected benefit of Dr. Shadfar’s surgery was that he also reconstructed the inside of my nose and I can breathe better through my nose than I ever had before. I’ve been a registered nurse for over 25 years and I can sometimes be a tough patient. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Shadfar!

Dr Shadfar is the best doctor we have seen in a long time. I am an RN so I have high expectations. He was amazing. He called personally to check on my son after surgery. We had to stay in a hotel close to his office because we live more than an hour away. He gave me his cell phone number just in case we needed something. I would not trust anyone else with any facial procedures except for Dr. Shadfar.

Needless to say having a cancerous growth removed from your nose and then having the plastic surgery is stressful. When I was first diagnosed I was depressed and nervous. I can't say enough good things about Doctor Shadfar and his staff. Dr Shadfar is very straight forward and explained the procedure in detail. He is very matter of fact, but makes you feel confident that everything will work out fine. In my case I had a basil cell growth and had the Mohs surgery with Dr Mollet. The next morning Dr Shadfar did a forehead flap for the repair. It is pretty ugly, but there isn't that much pain, it's just uncomfortable. Three weeks later the flap is removed. It's now 6 months since the surgery, and unless I tell someone I had the procedure, you can't really tell. Dr Shadfar does pretty small stitches, but a lot of them. If you need to have any type of plastic surgery Dr Shadfar is the Doctor that you want doing your procedure!

Wanted to share my experience with Dr. Shadfar and his staff beginning 25 Oct 2017. It all started with my dermatologist who found a bump on my right nostril that looked suspect. My dermatologist sent me to a surgeon who was to cut out the suspect tissue and stitch me back up. This appointment was the 25th of October. The surgeon actually cut and harvested my right nostril tissue and cartilage 3 times before he had removed all of what was diagnosed as squamous and basal cell skin cancers. After the third removal the surgeon came back to my husband and me and said he couldn't fix me, (the hole in my nostril, it was too large for him to fix). WHAT??? He said and he would have to send me to a plastic surgeon. He had called the office of (Ear, Nose, Throat/Facial Surgeon) Dr. Scott Shadfar's office and Dr. Shadfar could see me immediately. Up till my arrival in Dr. Shadfar's office, I had never met Dr. Shadfar. My nose was covered with gauze and medical tape. Dr. Shadfar removed the tape and gauze and took photos. I had not seen my nose up to that point. It was very traumatic, scary, and rocked my world in a bad way. Here I am looking like a Halloween horror movie. It appeared to me that I had a quarter size hole where my right nostril had been. I cried. Dr. Shadfar was very professional, warm, caring, and talked to us about the different methods or procedures on how he could 'fix' me. We discussed the optimum method and came to an agreement on the surgical procedure, (the Moh's procedure); Dr. Shadfar felt would have the best results. I was admitted to the hospital the very next morning for surgery. In a side note, Dr. Shadfar has handpicked and provided special training for the surgical nurses he uses for his surgery team at Edmond Integris. The surgical nurses spoke so highly of Dr. Shadfar. They clearly had much respect and admiration for his surgical skills, his professionalism and his surgical results. Each nurse provided me exemplary care, compassion, and comfort. For me, Dr. Shadfar, his office team, the nurses at Integris Edmond, made a nightmare time in my life bearable. With time and distance, I am so grateful to Dr. Shadfar for his skill at rebuilding my nose.

UPDATE, 10/2018: Hello. My name is David and I am using my wife’s account since I don’t have one. Unbeknownst to me, my wife already reviewed Dr. Shadfar and his staff three months ago. Here’s my take on the experience…I am 50 years old and I have endured a crooked nose that had been broken for 40 years and I never knew it. My nose just sort of healed itself the best it could with scar tissue and continued to get more misshapen over the years, causing me to not to be able to breathe that well. I asked my family physician if she would refer me to someone who could help me and once my HMO approved it, I went and saw a specialist in Yukon. She looked at my nose and she concurred that I may be a good candidate for septorhinoplastic surgery. She said that due to the complex nature of what would likely be a total rebuild of my nose, she humbly stepped aside and suggested a more qualified surgeon for the job. Enter Dr. Scott Shadfar. Dr. Shadfar looked me over, ran a scope in each nostril, and then took several photos from many angles. He told me that he should have no problems getting my HMO to approve me for surgery. A few days later, I arrived at the hospital and was prepped for a 3.5 hour surgery. Dr. Shadfar made me feel at ease and his bedside and office side manner is exemplary. He is truly a skilled surgeon and it shows in his work. He has found his calling and I know that he will continue to change lives for every lucky client that comes his way. My nose looks awesome and I can breathe soooo much better now. One nurse confided in me that Dr. Shadfar is very meticulous and he tries to get everything as perfect as he can. He did a great job on me and I would highly recommend Dr. Shadfar to anyone needing his services. HIs office staff are very professional and courteous and have answered many questions in person and over the phone too. Another thing that I thought was above and beyond was that Dr. Shadfar called to check on me once I was home recovering. Also, every follow up visit, expect him to walk in with a friendly smile and a handshake. Expect to see a new young intern on each visit, too. It seems that he has many future surgeons that shadow him. I think that is great that he is willing to teach others what he knows. I consented for my before and after photos to made public and I think once they are posted, I will be the photos labeled client 22 on Dr. Shadfar's website. ~ ~ ~ Well, here's another five-star review :) My husband's rhinoplasty went very well. Dr. Shadfar spent time with us prior to surgery to explain what was going to happen during surgery, and on the follow-up visits after surgery, he took time to answer all our questions. The office staff are all friendly and helpful as well. Best of all, my husband can breathe through his nose again! Surgery was a great success. I highly recommend Dr. Shadfar and his team.

He explained to me the risks and benefits of the corrective surgery. My hopes were high going into the surgery, as I didn't really know what to expect. When I went the first time, I really had no idea what to expect. Dr. Shadfar and his staff went to great lengths to make me comfortable and to be sure I understood I every step of my treatment. I was given the options in detail, encouraged to make the decision best for me, and thoroughly briefed on what to expect, restrictions that would apply, etc. The procedure itself was performed in the office. Every effort was made to ensure my comfort. The Doctor talked me through the whole thing, explaining what he was doing. I feel like I got VIP treatment, and my results are amazing! I had been prepared for the possibility of a second, even maybe a third procedure, but my nose has healed so well, I don't think I will need anything else! I can't say enough about the staff, as a whole. I always felt like everyone knew me, was following my case, and cared about how I was doing. I would refer anyone to Dr. Shadfar, and if I ever need anything done again, I know where I'll be heading!

I was referred to Dr. Scott Shadfar by my dermatologist after having skin cancers removed. The site of the removal was very large and required reconstructive surgery on the left side of my face near my left eye. Dr. Shadfar and his staff made me feel very at-ease as to what the outcome of the necessary facial reconstruction would be. The process was explained to me in a very straight forward manner. After the surgery the results were better than I had expected due to the size of the wound. A very very thin scar is all that is visible, and as time passes, it is shrinking. Those who did not know about the reconstruction surgery are unable to tell it ever happened. The follow -up care and attention was exceptional. Nurse Brenda was very supportive and showed true kindness and empathy towards my condition. She assured me that I was in the right place. After meeting Dr Shadfar, I knew she was right. After having a lesion and Basil Cell Carcinoma removed, I was immediately sent to Dr. Shadfar. I was in shock when I saw how much of my lip was gone. But Dr. Shadfar sat down and explain how he intended to put my lip back together again. He told me to look at some previous surgeries he had done and they all looked amazing in the "after" photos. Most of the photos were different parts of the face but I could see what a great surgeon and how dedicated he was. Dr. Shadfar is surround by great office staff and nurses that put you at ease as soon as you walk up to sign in and make you comfortable. I recommend the highly!

Unfortunately I had to have surgery to remove melanoma skin cancer from my face on the left cheek. A large area approximately 3 centimeters in diameter had to be removed. Dr. Shadfar was able to restore my face to the point that you have to look real hard and know that reconstructive facial surgery was performed to notice it. The scar is almost invisible. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shadfar to anyone who may require plastic surgery.
