I had read a couple of negative reviews and was concerned about going with Dr Tu for my procedure. After putting things in perspective, the complaints about lack of communication seemed more that the person complaining required more hand holding or was a little extra needy. Think on this for a moment...on the day of my surgery my initial appt at Dr Tu's office was at 9:30 am (he was smiling and cheery, which eased my anxiety a little), my check-in time at the hospital was 11am, with surgery at 1pm. My procedure was 4 1/2 hours. Considering his own drive time, prep time and the actual surgery, Dr Tu spent apprx 6 hours on just me alone that one day. So, consider if he had one surgery a day, it makes it a little difficult to squeeze time in for a few return phone calls. I understand it is frustrating when you have questions and not getting a response. I recommend scheduling an appt to ensure you have the Dr's full attention to answer your questions. I personally had a wonderful experience with Dr Tu and his staff. In a business environment, I am high on professionalism and everyone I encountered was very pleasant and professional...so for anyone considering Dr Tu as their plastic surgeon, I would recommend him. I am very pleased with the outcome and my care.

I am a nervous patient the worst. From the first phone call to Lynette with her infectious laugh and her calming approach she put me at ease. Nurse Cynthia who just wants to help with a heart the size of Tex. and a warm smile to match she is the best. Dr.Tu who from the first meeting you know his concentration is on what he can do to improve your life.He takes his time explaining the process then he finally gives you his award winning smile then you know you are in good hands. Dr. Tu is exceptional. 10 stars

My wife recently went to see Dr Tu and was initially very pleased. He was going to do a surgery to help with an ongoing issue she's been dealing for over a year. The scheduling was great and we had a surgery date about a week after the initial consultation. They even prescribed medicine to help her with the issue until she got to surgery. Then it all went to hell in a handbasket. 3 days prior to the scheduled surgery, after I had taken a couple days off to be with my wife and care for her after the surgery was complete, we get a call telling her he wants her to go to pain management. Pain management definitely has its benefits but we wanted to treat the problem instead of making the symptoms. When we tried to call back the once pleasant office staff turned into a bunch of hateful uncaring and just plain rude people, especially Lynette. It seems some people working the front desk at a Dr's office view themselves as gatekeepers that nobody will get past. Our experience with Dr Tu face to face was fantastic, but the way we were treated afterwards is the reason for the bad rating. If there was a zero star rating I would chosen it. Hopefully enough people who have had issues with Lynette's attitude will speak up and things will change at this office.

To say I am frustrated would be an understatement. I initially met with Dr. Tu back in May 2017 to have an initial consultation for breast reduction. I still hadn't heard anything from insurance as of July 2017. I reached out to Lynette at Dr. Tu's office and she was of no help to me. I then took it upon myself to reach out to insurance and they said they hadn't even received any of the paperwork needed for this procedure. I call Lynette who said she'll resend, call insurance and they said that the paperwork isn't even complete. After a full two weeks of going back and forth I've ensured insurance has everything needed to process claim. Now it's September 2017 and I call insurance and they said that the claim has now been cancelled by the provider. I have left numerous messages for Dr. Tu with no response. It's sad that they're going to lose business due to the unprofessionalism displayed by their office manager.

Plain and simple I had issues with recovery. Dr. Tu saved my life. Linette has been nothing but wonderful with everything. I am greatful.

I am beyond grateful for Dr. Tu...I had this mass on my inner left thigh that I tried to get removed... I had many surgeons look at it & refused... Dr. Tu took on the challenge and did an amazing job... The mass ended up weighing 4.5lbs...ty again❤

Im glad to see that Im not the only one that has had trouble with staff at this office. And by staff, I mean Lynette. From day one, she's been rude, not helpful at all and just plain lazy. We needed paperwork taken care of and I cannot even begin to tell you how many phone calls we had to make to get things take care of. Dr Tu did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone if it wasn't for the front desk that they would have to deal with.
