I went to so many consultations based on referrals and ultimately went with Dr. Riuo. He was by far the most thorough, knowledgeable, and so patient. He even allowed me to come in for a second consultation to answer more questions I had. He set my expectations low and definitely exceeded them. No doubt he is the best around and I love my results. Dr. Riou and his staff was excellent. He had to repair damage from my breast cancer. He took the time to explain the damage that was done and explained exactly what needed to be done. After surgery I had pain one day and Dr. Riou actually talked to me on the phone and told me to come in. He then told me what was going on and reassured me that the pain would ease up. The office workers were so sweet. They are a great group of people. I could not thank them enough!

I was referred to Dr. Riou by a friend and I had my breast augmentation done in April. I have had NOTHING but amazing results and most importantly amazing healing and recovery! I never once felt like I couldn’t breath, or had a “elephant on my chest”. I didn’t have pain whatsoever. Dr. Riou is so gentle and I believe that’s why all his patients have a very easy recovery with little to no pain! You can tell Dr. Riou loves what he does because on your surgery day he is bouncing off the walls in smiles ready to do what he loves, making us feel better about ourselves and boosting our confidence! I can not say enough amazing things about Dr. Riou and his staff!! Everyone raves about how natural and great my breasts look and says they will defiantly go to Dr. Riou!

He’s super smart and understands the female body and how to operate on cancer patients to help them feel %100 better about their appearance when they leave their houses. He helped me get over the fact that I had no breasts due to cancer and he reconstructed my breasts so I am as feminine as I was before I lost them to cancer. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about looking more beautiful than they could ever imagine.

Do not believe the patient below. I am also a patient of Dr. Riou. I know for a fact Dr. Riou is one of the nicest people ever. He does not deserve that negative review. I bet his thousands of happy patients will agree she is wrong. The women who wrote that one star review is clearly trying hurt Dr. Riou and his reputation. She wrote the same negative review on 6 different websites! Shes a bad seed and wrong. Plastic surgeons typically avoid women like this. Dr.Riou is one of the best plastic surgeons in North Carolina! I feel honored to be his patient. Dr. Riou has the most impressive credentials I have seen. The long list of credentials even includes Yale University! Dr. Riou’s expertise and experience is all you could hope for in a plastic surgeon. He has performed thousands of procedures and has so many satisfied patients. . INCLUDING ME. He knows what he is doing. I had two procedures in May, 2018. The results have exceeded my expectations. Also the Dr. took his time with me answered all of my annoying questions lol. The medical staff is my favorite. Everyone is very caring and very knowledgeable too.

I got a breast augmentation on Thursday by Dr Riou and not even 2 days later I am BEYOND SATISFIED!! I was told by another surgeon I would need a lift and a huge implant for more money than I could ever afford. I had amazing breasts until I had my child and didn’t want a lift only volume to give me back what I had before having my son.. Dr Riou was honest and comforting with the decision to just do an augmentation. I trusted for him to do what he thought was best and he went above and beyond. I am a hairstylist and a mother of an active 3 1/2 year old. I was very concerned that I wouldn’t be able to go back to work or take care of my son after surgery. I am sore but confident I will be back to work on Tuesday as planned, and able to do what I need to take care of my son. Dr Riou and his entire staff are the BEST!! Last year, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a fluke thing as my OBGYN suggested I get a "baseline" mammogram, which was followed up by more testing. I was shocked and confused when I received the results. However, each step of the way, Dr. Riou and his staff treated me well and with kindness. I had a mastectomy (performed by another surgeon) and follow up reconstruction soon after. I could not be happier with the results (and the fact that it was caught early). Dr. Riou is a fantastic surgeon and his staff is amazing. I've had no issues and would recommend him in general.
