I sought out a second opinion after a surgery with difficult complications with another doctor. Dr. Pyle saw me. He was cold and dismissive. His response was that he could do nothing for me and was certain my doctor (of whom he had never heard) had done everything right and in my best interest. He went so far as to suggest that my doctor must be very worried and losing sleep over how difficult my recovery was. He then informed me I would be best served by the doctor that deformed me but if I insisted he would take over my care. He then warned me that even though he could "check on" me that he would not be as invested in my health and welfare since he had not performed my surgery. I could not believe those words actually left his mouth. I will never return there.

More than 3/4 of the way through reconstruction, and my experience has been great! He has been the consummate professional, caring, listening, and generally on time. He and the staff have worked with my crazy schedule, and made the visits easy. He also worked closely with my general surgeon and she highly recommended him. I wouldn't wish this procedure on anyone, but if you have to go through it, he is the one to use.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago. My oncologist surgeon said that my insurance would cover breast reduction and she worked with Dr. High who would do the reduction after she removed the cancer (all in the same day). Shortly after, I started radiation. My oncologist delayed starting radiation because he thought I might have an infection and I went to Dr High. Dr High never examined me but instead told his nurse that it was just going to get worse and I didn’t have an infection (turns out he mistakenly thought I had already started my radiation). Now it’s been one year since the surgery. I still have hideous scars that are red and one nipple is twice as big as the other. I will live with this because I have no intention on going back to Dr High. I wish I never did the reduction.

Paula A. Page – Facial Plastic Surgery December 2005 I was delighted to see that Dr. High’s office is participating in a third-party monitoring review process for past patients. When I wrote my review in 2007 and returned to the web site, it was quickly removed. I see now that Dr. High’s reputation has not changed much. I experienced a mishap with my pet cat and neighborhood dog that resulted in one four-inch laceration under my eye and a six-inch laceration on my right cheek. Being an animal wound, the areas on my face became infected within hours even with antibiotics. Dr. High operated on me in the office under local anesthesia. I received an earlier than expected call from his nurse to remove my stitches. Keep in mind the Christmas holidays were close at hand. Upon arriving at Dr. High’s office, I noticed he was nowhere to be found; but his nurse, Jean, was there to remove my stitches. First big professional error. I now have a six-inch scar down my right cheek from where an incompetent nurse removed my stitches, because the wound on my cheek literally opened up again!!! I knew immediately my face was permanently scarred. The wound had not had proper time to heal and should have been clamped, stapled, something! I have had over 35 procedures to my face over the past ten years to try to correct their error. When I tried to contact them, no response; and as stated earlier in this review, my original post to their review site back in 2007 was immediately removed. Do not use this doctor. Not only will he allow his staff to permanently scar your face, he will not even contact you to try to compensate you. I got so tired of hearing, “It will heal to a tiny white line!” Oh the money I have spent to try to fix their mistake! As one other reviewer stated, RUN from this office. And if you read this review Dr. High or Jean, I would love to be compensated for the surgery you performed on me from 2005 and can back up my claims with a stack of copies of the corrective surgeries performed on my face over the past ten plus years post Dr. High! My wife had a breast augmentation with Dr. High. One year post op she has experienced full bottoming out, Scars that are extremely visible and wide, she has had one revision on her scars which caused them to be even more visible. Due to the bottoming out she is unable to wear any bikini of any type. The augmentation went so bad and the outcome has led her to be on anti depressants. She experienced high pain levels through the whole ordeal and still to this day can wear an underwire bra. Dr. High had many excuses and would take no responsibility for her full drooping. He said it can be fixed and he recommends a revision but with a 2900 dollar bill. I would not recommend Dr. highs work to anyone, unless they would like to spend 6200 for even lower self esteem problems.
