From the moment I walked in everyone went above and beyond to make my experience pleasant. I was seen for a dental implant that I was hesitant about, but was quickly put at ease by the knowledge of the staff and skill of Dr. Haigney. I ran into an insurance snag as our family switched carriers halfway through the implant process and they didn't want to pay for an existing condition. I received the notice at home from my carrier and thought, here we go. But before I could even take action Erin submitted the necessary paperwork on my behalf to clear it up. Like I said, above and beyond! I highly recommend them based on their care and knowledge, they made an otherwise unpleasant task easy and stress free.

Having 4 wisdom teeth removed doesn't sound like fun under any circumstances. I wasn't looking forward to it. Dr. Haigney and his team did a fantastic job and I am recovering very nicely with a minimal amount of discomfort. My review begins with my story of how I met Dr. Haigney. First, my name is Jakob Shipe and I live in New Jersey. I was visiting friends in Charlotte over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and I was involved in a terrible accident. I was sent to the Carolinas Medical Center. I was diagnosed with a broken jaw and a subdural hematoma. Overall, I was in bad shape. While in the hospital, a friend recommended Dr. Haigney to complete my jaw reconstruction. However, the hospital had a plastic surgeon lined up and was pushing for their surgeon. My friend still recommended Dr. Haigney based of her experiences with him. On short notice, Dr. Haigney answered my phone call and drove all the way to the Carolinas Medical Center to meet my family and I in the ICU. We did not request this from him too, but he still came anyhow. Furthermore, Dr. Haigney simply met with me and discussed the procedures and how he could help out. At no point did he ever pressure me to use his services or push me to any decision. I cannot tell you how much this meant to me, as I was in very much pain from the abovementioned injuries. After a discussion with my family, we decided on going with Dr. Haigney over the hospital plastic surgeon. So, Dr. Haigney dropped his schedule and did the surgery on extremely short notice so I could get back home faster as well. Once again, this had to be very inconvenient for Dr. Haigney, but it clearly made a difference for my family and I. The surgery went very well and I even met with Dr. Haigney the following day before I flew home. Furthermore, Dr. Haigney even took the effort to contact me the following days upon my return home to monitor my progress. His updates and advice helped me feel comfortable and adjusting to life with a broken jaw. Ultimately, I met with an oral surgeon in New Jersey to get my stitches out and he said that everything looked amazing with the surgery too. At the end of the day, Dr. Haigney truly showed he cared and emphasized with my situation. His care and expertise has been invaluable during the tumultuous time for me and I would definitely recommend his services!

I am told I looked pretty scary with my right eye swelling, the white part of my eye all red and filled with blood when my husband raced me to the emergency room shortly after a surgery blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) gone wrong with another doctor. My doctor couldn’t be reached and my eye was swelling quickly and the pressure was building up behind my eye with all the blood. I didn’t know at the time, but time was ticking, I could have lost sight in that eye if something wasn’t done and done soon. The Emergency room doctor sent a picture and called Dr. Haigney and explained what was happening and he raced to the hospital with his dog in the car. He was off duty. My husband said he saw him running across the hospital parking lot to save me and he surely did. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness and his quick response to take care of the problem. Dr Haigney and his entire staff are amazing! They truly care about what's best for their patients and doing the right thing to find a solution. You don't find too many doctors who will call you to check on you after a procedure, send flowers, or offer you their personal cell number if you have any questions but Dr. Haigney did! I trust he and his staff with my life, they are by far, the BEST! He has assisted me with a life changing procedure to correct sleep apnea, tissue grafts, jaw surgery to treat osteomyelitis, and taken our daughters wisdom teeth out. Whether the procedure was small or big he executed brilliantly and had the best follow through of any doctor I have ever seen! Other pros: wait times in the office are minimal, the staff up front know all of the patients by name and do a great job creating a personal experience, they work with your insurance company diligently and keep you informed along the way. Cannot forget about Tara & Emily who assist with procedures; they also do an amazing job creating a personal experience.

After suffering a comminuted fracture to my mandible from a car accident, I had two disappointing surgeries at a major hospital in the charlotte area. Then I found Dr. Haigney and his staff. They have been nothing but professional, highly skilled, and compassionate in helping me get back to where I was before my accident. I must also say that on the financial side of things they have been understanding and down right generous to the point that words cannot describe. Thank you Dr. Haigney and your staff. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing more than just a tooth pulled, but I'm sure they can handle that too!

Dr. Haigney words can't describe how amazing and caring this Doctor is. I'm a mother of a cleft lip child. And I have been to NY, Philadelphia and Florida always looking for the best to try to give my son the face he was not born with. Unless you have a child with a facial disfigurement you would never understand what it is and how it feels to find a Doctor that is caring towards your son and needs and in the process delivers an excellent job . He takes the time to not only explain everything that is happening but he also gets to know the patient. Remembering things and talking to them one on one. My son now is 18 and today Oct 03, 2016 is getting ready to see Doctor Hagney all by him self . The first time ever he will do that. We mothers tent to be extremely overwhelmed when your child is in need. I trust that Dr Hagney will take care of him great, no need for me to be there! The staff is also great .. Remember the staff has nothing to do with a Doctor or his skills . I not one to leave comments but since I was getting the address to send to my son and read all the comments I decide it to join in, since we have been with Dr Hagney a couple of years . When it comes to insurance the office has been excellent, I work but I don't make enough to have private insurance my son has Medicaid and private insurance by his father. In most office i have felt embarrassed to say the least to tell them I have Medicaid because automatically you are judge without questions, the staff have been extremely and helpful filling the paper work with the insurances. And the staff never mentions the facts that I have Medicaid or embarrass me for it. I could go on and on . After over 20+ surgeries at this point I'm a pro in costumer service, office staff and treatment and Doctor's review on treatment outcome, follow up and delivering results . Check out BBB of Charlotte. Worst office staff around. Very unwilling to assit patients in filing paperwork with insurance and when they do it was wrong. Doctor was "in newtork" while working at hospital on call but visit him at his office he is "out of network". Why? He can bill more than his agreed price with insurance. Staff very unwilling to help! Beware....

Great staff and an amazing surgeon Dr Haigney performed facial reconstruction on my husband after he had an accident and not only did the surgery go by smooth but the dr provided his personal number in case we had any concerns regarding his recovery. Dr. Haigney is an outstanding Plastic Surgeon! I was referred to his office from the Novant Huntersville ER after suffering from a sports injury including 8 forehead stitches and a broken nose. I was worried about scarring and surgery, as I had never experienced a similar injury before, and these were very visible facial injuries. Dr. Haigney put me at ease and reassured me through the entire process. He answered all of my questions with care and expertise. Dr. Haigney did a flawless job with my deviated septum surgery and stitches removal. I’m confident that my nose will look the same as pre-injury, and that visible scarring will be minimal long-term due to his expertise. Dr. Haigney went above and beyond to call and check in on me after the surgery and ensure recovery was going smoothly. Dr. Haigney’s staff was also impressive. Be very careful, they will charge you more than the Insurance company have stated what the work is worth, plus the average cost for the area. When they say that, they take the insurance money for payment make sure they tell you they are agreeing with what the insurance states the work totally worth, plus minus your part of the payment and are willing NOT to pay more for the work than what the insurance company state the work is worth., By the way the Doctor put one finger in my mouth pulled my cheek back touch my tooth after I had been referred to his office and charge me $135.00 for a exam "REALLY" when I contact his office the lady stated "SO" I also waited 45 minutes in chair for post op when I had already been schedule by his office, his paper work is set up by his legal team, I have just received a revised bill from $10.48 to $35.48 and have not been in his office for months I can't wait to receive the break down of the $135.00 and the $35.48 this should be very interesting to review, I will post once he response, This office has failed to respond to mt certified letters about the truth and now turn me over to collect company so I will spend more time adding to my bill to this Unprofessional Doctor.
