After having second, third and fourth thoughts about having plastic surgery, I went ahead and had a neck lift. Dr. Graper and his staff were very supportive and encouraging. The procedure went very well, (I think. Don't remember any of it, which is a good thing.) Recovery was amazingly painless. There was some swelling the first 2 weeks, and when I expressed some concern, Dr. Graper told me to come in, took a look, and reassured me that all was progressing normally. I am now 2 weeks post surgery and couldn't be happier with the results. I would recommend Dr. Graper and this surgery to anyone.

After about 20 years of having a large sagging, wrinkly neck and having recently lost a good bit of weight, I decided that I wanted to do something about it. At 65, the neck muscles weren't going to contract, so I decided on Dr. Graper. I did some research and found his credentials impeccable and some of my friends had gone to him. So on September 16, I underwent the knife. I was home in about 4 hours with minor discomfort but did stay in bed for a few days except for my visits to him. I was amazed when they took the bandages off. I was hardly even bruised and the sutures were hardly noticeable. Within a week, you would never even known I had had surgery except for the remarkable difference in my face and neck. My friends hardly recognized me and I felt good about myself for the first time in years. I still have a hard time recognizing the face in the mirror. I love Dr. Graper and his staff. He is an excellent surgeon, but more importantly, he cares first and foremost about the patient. He errs on the side of caution, always putting your health and well being first. He never tries to force procedures on you. There are plastic surgeons out there, in Charlotte, who will. His nursing staff is first rate, as is the front office staff and the surgery coordinator. Martha, Teri and Carla are all so sweet, you always feel at home. I would never go anywhere else.

At the time I scheduled the appt with Dr. Harper I had already chosen another surgeon to do my procedures but, I felt Dr. Harper had a better understanding of me and what I wanted. He had even suggested a breast lift. At first, I didn't think I needed that procedure my breast were small but after some thought I agreed then immediately inquired about fat transfer. I again had decided against the procedure when I went in to schedule my surgery and then was managed to be talked right back into it but still insisted on fat transfer to my breast. I was schedule to have a tummy tuck, lipo to my upper and lower back,upper arms, inner thighs and hips. I was very clear that in order for me to proceed with the breast lift, I would need to get fat transferred to my breast. When I woke up after my 6 hour surgery the first thing I remember asking is if my breast was larger. The nurse that stayed the night to take care of me told me NO. I really didn't believe her, I was hoping she had just made a mistake. As you would guess, I was heavily sedated and I went back to sleep. The next day I asked the same question. I got the same answer and I wanted to know why! My attention quickly turned from that disappointment to the pain I was in. At my follow-up appointment I asked Dr. Harper about the fat transfer he brushed over the question but finally answered when my breast heal and the swelling go down I will see that I didn't need it! I was skeptical but the damaged was already done and I needed to concentrate on healing. As I got further and further alone in my healing when I started asking more questions and start showing disappointment in his decision to NOT do what I asked and paid for him to do, the interaction had become uncomfortable for me. I don't like confrontations and I felt like, Now I'm unable to talk to him about my concerns. On one of my last appointments, Monday November 11,2016 I was told by Dr. Harper that he doesn't know whose telling me that my surgery doesn't look good but something must be wrong with THEM and ME if I didn't think so. I fe1l betrayed by my Doctor. Instead of Dr. Harper being concern that I'm not happy with my results he dismiss me and try to shame me for feeling disappointed that he didnt deliver. I sent him an email sharing My concerns but I'll get back to that. As far as My results, I thought my Tummy tuck was great, I had questions about the ends of my incisions because they puff out. My breast was still itching like crazy, I still have shooting pain, and they are still small, yes I wish I would have never gotten a lift especially because the part of my breast surgery that I was really looking forward to was the increase in volume. I haven't noticed any difference in my inner thigh, upper back or arms. I do know something was done in those areas because I felt a lot of pain in those areas. I especially felt a uncomfortable amount of pain in my inner thighs,but that pain could have come from the burns I endured, not sure how or why I just discovered burns between my legs I took several pictures. I felt like they were trying to hide that bit of information. I had what I thought was a very caring and thoughtful doctor, now I see him as a self absorbed thin skin person who take offense to your concerns instead of taking responsibility. Now back to the email, he scheduled an follow-up appointment he wanted to talk about my concerns. I felt after the meeting he could care less about ny concerns, he just wanted to change my mind about how I preceived my results and then when that didn't work it became even more strained. HE stated it didn't matter who's fault it was it needed to be fixed but he also had to be compensated for it. As he escorted me to the check out, he stated to his staff another appointment was NOT needed. However his office manager did call me with a price for the correction surgery, not a small price, but I'm sure it was out of obligation and nothing more. Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend anyone to this guy and I'm still considering my legal options.

Many years ago, I had my breast augmentation done with this man. I told him exactly what I wanted. He didn’t tell me he couldn’t do it or ask questions. I kept being put back under because they were also at the same time doing someone’s breast cancer surgery. I was brought home and was so sedated it took me 3 days to wake up completely from the surgery. When I did, I almost cried. I was the same size as when I went in for the surgery. I could still fit in my bra. Dr. Graper decided what I wanted was too big so he put small implants in me and they were pressing up against my muscles causing extreme pain. I had to go to another surgeon and have them done correctly. When I asked him why he did not give me the breasts I wanted..he told me I should have been happy with what I had and thought I was kidding about what I asked for.

I had an upper eyelid surgery a couple of years ago to correct a droopy eyelid. During my initial consultation I told Dr. Graper that I wanted my eyelid to look exactly like it used to and brought in pictures to show him exactly what it used looked like before it started drooping. He said it would not be a problem. When I went in for my follow-up appointment with Dr. Graper shortly after my surgery was performed, he said to me, "Do you like what I did?" Instead of listening to exactly what I wanted him to do, he chose to do something different without consulting me first. He told me that he changed the line of my crease in my lid to open up my eye and make it appear larger. It looks terrible. He took away the almond shape of my eyes and now they look round. I used to get lots of compliments on my eyes; ever since the surgery I don't. I used to be able to wear only mascara and look good; now I HAVE to wear eye shadow to mask the weird shape of my eye. I wish I never had gone to him. I totally regret choosing him for my surgery. I have since learned of other people who were unhappy with their surgeries and he refused to fix what he had done wrong. I absolutely do NOT recommend this surgeon.

Katrina is the one to see for skin care ;) She is very knowledgeable and has made our skin beautiful! Both my daughter and I battle acne and without Katrina in our lives we would be a total mess! I also highly recommend Katrina for those who want any type of laser work as she is extremely educated in this arena.

I went to Graper several years ago for breast reduction and abdominoplasty- and he made an absolute mess of my body. I told him that one of my breasts was larger than the other and that fact needed to be considered when he did surgery. He did not consider it at all, and (while he thought I was still anesthetized) I overhead him telling his nurse that he was not happy with one of my breasts. Well, needless to say, I was not happy either! To this day one breast is an entire cup size larger. And when he performed by abdominoplasty, he left me with a indention/hole over my pubic area. What a mess! And when I went for my second post-op exam and mentioned my dissatisfaction, he said I needed more sunshine in my personality/attitude. What a despicable practitioner.
