I happened to meet Dr Miles and his team after being severely attacked by a dog last December. He was recommended to me by another doctor (whom I trust) and he was able to see me the day after the attack. I explained to him that I was very concerned about the depth of the wounds and future scars on my leg, arm and back. Dr Miles took care of it and even though they were deep he tried to put them together. I have been following up after the attack and he always takes good care of me. I still have to go back for future treatments and all I can say is that I trust him and his team to do this work. I will recommend him 100%- Adri

I had a breast reduction in 2013 and my experience was wonderful! Dr. Miles is professional and personable at the same time, which is often hard to find in a doctor. I actually had had the privilege of working with him as a scrub tech several years before my procedure, so I knew firsthand that he has meticulous attention to detail and patient safety. Dr. Erik Miles was pleasant to speak with and very knowledgeable. The following is reference to the reception staff I dealt with. Do not go here if you prefer curtious and kind service. Office assistant was rude and took it upon herself to tell me to take my business elsewhere after a payment dispute. I was clearly upset about miscommunication between their office which resulted in a surgery scheduling error. Rather than kindly working through the problem and offering opportunity for a visit refund, she pushed the issue on me, ridiculed my insurance decisions, told me to take my business elsewhere and then hung up on me.

After meeting with another plastic surgeon in the area, I went to Dr. Miles for a second opinion. It’s a decision that I’m so glad that I made. Dr. Miles’ staff was incredibly professional and treated every question I had with the upmost sincerity. Dr. Miles discussed every aspect of my procedure in detail and included every risk and complication possible which I really appreciated him disclosing. He outlined exactly what I could expect from the procedure. Most importantly, he took into consideration my every concern and addressed my own specific needs. During my first consultation with the first surgeon, I felt overwhelmed and rushed. Dr. Miles could not have made me feel more at ease. He took over an hour to explain and answer questions. He measured and documented every aspect of my own particular situation and drafted two plans for surgery. Both of which he guarenteed would give me great results. He also assured me that he would be in close contact with me post surgeryto ensure I was comfortable and happy with my results. After my consult, I was nervous about his pricing considering how thorough he was in my consult, the attention to detail he seems to provide and his quality of overall care for his patients. I was pleasantly surprised when his quote came in under my first surgeon I had met with. I will be choosing Dr. Miles for my surgery and would highly suggest anyone who is considering plastic or reconstructive surgery meet with him for a consult.

I have had several cuts done by Dr Miles to remove skin cancers and they have always been cut with my physical motion in mind and they have healed with minimal complications. Dr. Miles performed liposuction to remove my double chin a number of years ago. The result was amazing, and years later it looks as good now as it did then. In addition, my neck is smooth and wrinkle free, which is remarkable considering my age. I plan to return to Dr. Miles later this fall to see what can be done to the lower part of my face around my mouth and chin. I found Dr. Miles to be conservative in his approach, and he was careful to make sure that I did not have unrealistic expectations. Highly recommend him!

From the initial consultation through surgery, the experience was a very positive one. The office staff was a pleasure to work with, scheduling was not a problem and and the facility itself is nice as well. During the consultation Dr. Miles wasn't rushed and the time was given to explain the procedure and for me to ask whatever questions. There wasn't any pressure whatsoever to add additional services and Dr. Miles simply explained the options that were available if I chose to do so at a later date. The day of the procedure, the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was attentive making sure I was good to go. The procedure went well and Dr. Miles's calm, confident demeanor put me at ease. Although the music in the procedure room seemed to default to bad 80s slow songs, it was a welcomed distraction and a good laugh. I have been to a different practice with multiple surgeons and the experience was not nearly as individualized and rushed. Hands down the experience with Dr. Miles and his staff was much better and highly recommended.

My experience at this office was good at the beginning. The staff was friendly and prompt. However, once I had the breast reduction performed, I ended up having constant complications. Every time I would call, they would have me send a picture of the complication, which by the way, I was having holes where my stitches were actually pop open into big holes that would bleed and ooze! I was told to cover it with a non stick gauze pad and wait for it to heal. Three months after the surgery, I went in finally for a check up and was STILL HAVING HOLES POP OPEN!!! He said he had never seen someone have this issue this far out after the surgery and to keep doing what I was doing. I had very severe complications that week and could not even lift anything with my left arm( I am left handed). He said his surgery had nothing to do with that even though it was causing pain in my left breast...?? I finally had enough once another hole opened up. I contacted the office and was informed that they "no longer have coverage with my insurance" and the doctor "can only see me one more time before they would charge me full cost for visits". ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I had holes pop open for 6 months after surgery. I never had anyone reach back out to me to make sure things were going okay. Never had After photos taken because my chest looks like it was butchered. The scars I have from the amount of holes that opened up is more than I can count. I do not recommend going to see this doctor simply because he ignored me and my issues and did nothing to make it better or make me feel better about what was happening to me. I hope no one has to endure the issues I did from having surgery done by him.

Dr. Erik Miles is an amazing physician and his staff is exceptional!!! I was referred to him by a co-worker and I can say I was not disappointed. Dr. Miles has an exceptional bedside manner. He is super friendly and takes his time with his patients. He cares about you as a patient and your outcome goals. He is honest and upfront about the type of procedure(s) that will give you the best outcome. Dr. Miles will not try to sell you something you do not need. He will also tell you if the procedure you are interested in is right for you. Dr. Miles is not in the profession for the money, he truly cares about your happiness. Dr. Miles stands behind his work to include any revisions needed post procedure. Once you pay for your procedure, that's it, from that point forward Dr. Miles takes care of the rest. You WILL be glad you chose Dr. Miles as your reconstructive/cosmetic physician. He called me personally the night after my procedure to see how I was recovering. That is going above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Miles price estimates are very reasonable and affordable. I was quoted an amount 3x the price from another Charlotte competitor that has less than favorable reviews. Dr. Miles forms his estimates based on the procedure and time involved that you will need to look your best, so he does not have cookie cutter set prices. Dr. Miles treated me like family. He made me feel like an individual with my own personal unique problem areas and reassured me that I would have an amazing outcome. I am almost 8 months out from my original surgery with one revision surgery performed at the 6 month mark. I am beyond happy with the results. I would refer all my friends and family to Dr. Miles.
