However, when it comes to the masterful cosmetic surgical practice of Dr. Ditesheim, this ideal is not true. The very moment that the procedure was complete, I visually realized that "if it is to good to be true," then it has to be true, for Dr. Ditesheim had changed my body forever. For any guy out there that is contemplating liposuction, I say go for it, it is really a life changing experience. Furthermore, I 100% recommend Dr. Ditesheim, he is experienced, professional and understands the surgical point of view and needs of the male body.

I had consultations with 5 different cosmetic surgeons about my intended procedures, and I must say that I realized – almost anyone can use a cannula to remove fat – BUT Dr. Ditesheim does much more than that. Results are pretty nice however don't believe him if he says you might or might not have scars. YOU WILL HAVE SCARS, the procedure is rough! An experienced LIPO doctor would cut out that skin that is damaged from the rough friction.. So to sum up, he'll do a good job but EXPECT SCARS!

After the birth of my son, I started to consider breast augmentation. This was after most of my adult life saying "I will never get breast implants." Having a child certainly changed me physically and it was a clear cut case of a woman's perrogative to change her mind. I didn't like the way my breasts looked and it made me insecure. Thus I started my journey into finding THE doctor to do the job...the right job. I went to three other doctors before meeting with Dr. Ditesheim, in fact, I almost cancelled my consult with Dr. D after thinking I had already met the Dr at one of my thee other consultations. I am so glad I didn't cancel and did meet with Dr. Ditesheim. Right away, I was put at ease with his nurses and office staff...I felt like one of the girls, about to get her "girls" done. I conveyed my wishes and expectations with Dr. Ditesheim and he seemed to genuinely listen to what I wanted and furthermore, understood what I wanted and did not want. I went through the "fitting" to find the right size for my frame, not too big but not too small....after all, we all want our moneys worth. After deciding on size, he and his nurses discussed at length my concerns and fears...too many horror stories to read about on the internet...and I immediately felt at ease. Surgery day came and went and I was very pleased with the results. The follow up appointments were always thorough and left me knowing that I had indeed made the best decision in choosing my plastic surgeon. I even went back a year later to have two small lesions removed from my nose and that went perfect as well. As of today, I am almost two years out from my breast augmentation surgery and I could not be happier! I look fantastic naked again. Dr. Ditesheim and his staff are awesome and I recommend him to my friends. There will not be another plastic surgeon for me. I am completely confident in his knowledge and abilities. A little while ago I went to a dermatologist and had "possible skin cancer" removed. They didn't close the incision correctly, I ended up getting staff infection, and was left with a very ugly scar that would not fade or go away (about 5 inches long).. I requested a consult for lipo on some trouble spots that did not respond to significant weight loss and extreme exercise. From the welcoming office staff to the skilled nurses and Dr. Ditesheim himself, everyone made me feel comfortable and reassured before, during and after my procedure. I have been over 310 pounds for over 15 years. 4 years ago I had gastric bypass. I lost 126 pounds but still had a TON of skin left over. I saw several plastic surgeons over a few years preparing for my next step in my weight loss journey. I even saw what I thought was a highly regarded surgeon locally. I found his accolades in several magazines and heard his advertisements not knowing they were all paid for. When I went there I was given to a surgeon who was NOT board certified. That coupled with his plan to create over 6 major scars on my body caused me to search for another surgeon. I found Dr. Ditesheim through the web and a referral from a friend. When I met Dr. Ditesheim and his staff I was amazed at their level of knowledge and their level of care. I had researched what I thought I needed to have done and went in with a plan. Dr. D, Susie, and JJ listened to my plan and asked several key questions. As they asked these questions it revealed that my plan wasn't what was best for me. They constantly referred back to my health, my recovery, and my ultimate outcome. As we developed this plan they consulted every aspect of my life. They wanted to know what support I had, if I had enough time to recover, when I needed to get back to work, and if I was mentally prepared for the surgery. As prepared as I was it still was going into unknown territory for me. As an expert in my field I know all the ins and outs. I try to prepare all of my clients for what to expect but I know that it is uncharted territory for them. I knew this is what Dr. D and the staff were doing for me. They gave me all the tools I needed to make the best decision I could but I did have to trust their wisdom, and expertise to take me through the whole experience. I had my first surgery on 2/6/14. This was the most invasive, a full tummy tuck. I had over 10 pounds of skin, and tissue to be removed. I have never been a small girl but for the first time in my life I wore a bikini to the beach this summer. That was never my goal but it was/is a glorious outcome I never expected. My last surgery was 11/6/14. I am just two weeks out from having Aquashape liposuction to my entire thighs, bat wing arms, and some to my torso. I am already beyond thrilled with the results and I am still very swollen. I can’t imagine having anyone else perform my surgeries. I have even referred several gastric patients to Dr. D. For many years I have been fighting a battle to loose some extra fat around my mid-section after having 2 children. I was tired of all the diets and exercise and getting no where. Luckily I found Dr. Ditesheim and he introduced me to Aquashape. I had my consult and then scheduled the procedure. True to what I was told the surgery lasted less than an hour and I drove myself home. I even went to work the next day which was incredible. Two days after my procedure I was in a bikini and laying around on the beach. I feel wonderful and have had no problems with recovery. I don't hide my waist anymore and feel confident in my cloths again. I recommend this to anyone who is a fighting a battle with there weight. My 21 y.o. daughter interviewed several plastic surgeons before selecting Dr. Ditesheim's office for her elective surgery She agreed to pre-pay for the procedure with money she saved up for several years. Several weeks after the operation she received an additional bill for $700. When she complained to them about these extra charges, she was told those were different charges to another firm and that she needed to pay them. She objected and she was initially told that someone would look into the matter to determine what was agreed to when she pre-paid for the surgery. No one contacted her again. Instead, I discovered that this dispute been turned over to collection and incorrectly reported against my credit. I disputed it but so far to no avail. I would definitely not recommend doing business with this doctor and if you decide to anyway, I would make sure they don't pull a "bait and switch" scam on you like they did to my daughter. Update: 5 years after the surgery and these three derogatory reports are still on my credit report.

So my original review was way too long, but here is shortened version. So I waited 9 months to write this, because I wanted to be fair and give every chance I could, but things never got any better, but worse. My experience with my Gynecomastia surgery by Dr. Ditesheim was awful. I would not recommend anyone with gyno to go there simply based on everything I had went through. I want to cover everything so people will know what can and would go wrong. I never once felt cared for. A wasted $7,000. Yes, 7k for this experience I ask a lot of questions and I am always a curious person, especially when it comes to my body and someone performing surgery on me. Dr Diteshiem never seemed very warm or welcoming or even interested in my questions. It felt more like a sale, rather than an actual doctors office. All of my questions seemed to almost annoy him. He seriously seemed he did not care. Which, I get it. Surgeons have a certain way about them, but this guy really does not care. At least for me he didn’t. I guess I should have paid more attention to the amount of gyno reviews vs some of the other types of surgeries that are more popular. But those are the small details. Once we start talking about the surgery, I then get sold on anesthesia. Both him and the nurse promised me everything under the sun if I got the anesthesia. They mentioned it would be better for my anxiety. They said the doctor would have more time to preform, he could ‘sculpt’ the area better, and when people got anesthesia, he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect since he has extra time and can truly ‘sculpt’ the chest. The anesthesia was an extra $1,000 but again, I got sold and I admit to that. So between then and the surgery I had a lot of questions that never seemed to get directly answered, or answered in a very round or vague way. I should have trusted my gut, but the process had started and I was this far in. The surgery roles around, it gets preformed, I get home and notice, wait, the gyno is still there. Come to find out, Dr Diteshiem did NOT remove the glands with a direct incision. Which he charged for. We had spoke about this countless times in person and in email. As most of you know, if you ask any doctor, or do a tad bit of research, lipo alone does not remove gyno directly. The knots have to be directly taken out. Especially in my case where they were so large. Again, which I paid to have removed. Once I find this out and ask was there an incision done, he says no, the lipo removed the glands. So now I have been charged money, promised a service and then literally lied to. After going in person and explaining I still had pain and showing him the knots were still there that can easily be seen and touched, he agreed to go back in and remove the gland as discussed and paid for (also like any other doctor would do or should have done the first time). Yet, never admitted being wrong, nor apologizing for any of this. He also made it seem he was doing me a favor for actually preforming the full surgery by reminding me how much it normally is for surgery and how I wasn’t being charged that again….. So now I am having to go in surgery AGAIN less then two months after the first, with no anesthesia. So basically the money spent on anesthesia was wasted, because I ended up having surgery without it. So post surgery, I take the bandages off. One side of my chest, around my nipple is caved in, the other side, my nipple is puffing out, but only half of the nipple is doing this. With the incision, it went directly though my nipple, not underneath the areola (like almost all Doctors do, besides him I suppose. Research it) So for months my chest and nipple stayed like that. The Dr promised it would get better and it did not. My right side now caves in whenever I flex my chest. On the left side, the puffy nipple did reduce puffiness, but remains wonkey because the incision is in the middle of the nipple and doesn’t go all the way through to the other side. And also isn’t straight. So now that nipple has a small fold in it

His staff was also knowledgeable, and very helpful so I decided to book my surgery with him. I am excited I have wanted to do this for 3 years now. One week later I had my surgery and I have to tell you it was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. But! within four days I started to feel better. My surgery looks amazing. Oh I almost forgot this, doctor d took the fat from my lipo stomach and placed it in my bottom.
