One large waiting room with Lots of ppl, then into smaller ones where nurses call you back. Friendly & pretty fast.
Great caring staff and physicians!
I have macular degeneration and for 3+ years have had nothing but excellent care from Dr. Almony and her staff. They are ALL very professional, knowledgeable and caring about my disease. Yes, sometimes the wait time can be long but my retina specialist, Dr Almony, often gets called away for emergencies. I cannot speak highly enough about her and the care she has given me. She and her staff are my second family!
Service is really slow. Been waiting for 4 hours for my family member surgery. I do not recommend this place unless you want to wait all day.
I had brow lift surgery in April and eye lid surgery July . Dr. White did the surgery. He and his staff are exceptional!
Gave 3 stars because I didn’t know what to rate this experience. And it was an experience! Took 2 different people there. The results were great and have no complaints about that area. But the waiting time is horrendous. People are herded in out of room to room only to wait for some more time. Most of these folks are elderly. Both people I took are diabetic and it was awful for them both to go that long without eating. It was an all day affair starting early in the morning till almost closing time all 4 visits. The staff and drs were great and I don’t want to diminish them, but the wait time is so inconsiderate for anyone much less a high percentage of geriatric people. I really felt for them having to sit stationary for that length of time.
I went with my son and his 5 month old to an eye appointment here today. The check in person said it could take 2 hours because she was the only glaucoma doctor in the region (that was a lie) which was later cleared up by another staff saying In Greensboro. We live an hour and half from Greensboro closet to Duke and wake forest and Charlotte. Patiently we waited while I researched this place on the internet finding 1000s of complaints. After 3 and a half hours I told them we were leaving and defense started. Everyone knows that a defensive reaction is because of guilt. When paying a doctor for a. Service it is expected as with any other service that it be done with quality and in a reasonable amount of time. This place seems to think they are some kind of special. Apparently they said I was disrespectful and should not be like that at next visit. Next visit not gona ever happen. Who would come back for more of that? They are out of their minds. A 2 hour visit was unreasonable but 4 hours was rediculus.
Everyone at Carolina Eye Associates was very kind and personable from the receptionist to the checkout personnel. Quick, friendly service at very point during my visit. Dr. White was kind and caring and performed my inpatient procedure quickly and the results were great. I wasn’t even required to come back for a second visit to have it done. Dr. White came in to the room, evaluated the problem and performed the procedure all within one short visit. Just a follow up in two weeks to get the stitches out. Highly recommend Carolina Eye Associates and especially Dr. White.
Terrible experience for me, Dr Fakadej was a total jerk, I will not have eye surgery at that clinic for sure. Waste of my time and money.
Be prepared to wait for over an hour even if you arrive 15 mins early to check in for the appointment you made four months ago
Highly recommend Dr. White. After many eye surgeries Dr. Jeffery White has been the only doctor to restore/help my eye condition and vision.
Slow. Its like they are herding cattle from room to room. There are numbered spots in the lot, no where does it state they are for employees. We got asked to move further back, my mom can barely see, but we had to move so they could be closer. The patients should have priority in the lot.
Dr Messner was great and all the staff was caring and kind wonderful people I was very impressed with wait time I got super care and can see again I would recommend Carolina Eye Center to anyone Keep up the great work and may God bless yall Thanks so much for such great service
Wonderful care and treatment at Carolina Eye....all were outstanding with special recognition for Dr French and Dr Nicole Apple. Great at their professional expertise. I am fortunate to have them....
Waiting is horrendous
Stay away!!! This place is highly unorganized and inefficient. They may WORN customers up-front concerning LENGTHY WAIT TIMES, but it doesn't excuse them. The waiting area looks more like a bus station--very crowded and the buses are never on time. For eye care, there are many choices in the local area; recommend going anywhere except to this zoo.
My experience was horrible because they're not good I have had glasses always but they checked and told me my eyes were wonderful ha ha I went to another eye doctor and they got me fixed up no thanks to Carolina eye care associates I feel bad that I had to say that but the people need to I also have other that had bad experiences over 4 more people becide me
The facilities are very nice and modern staff very friendly and knowledgeable made my grandfather feel very conformable and safe during his visit
I had cataract surgery on march 29,2018 Done by Dr.Winston Garris I can not thank him and his staff enough for the outstanding service you guys are awesome!!
Excellent staff. Terrible wait times.
Wonderful care from beginning to end with Dr. White and his staff!!
The doctors and their staff are great, however the reception desk and check in people are horrible with communication.
I’m a long time patient of Carolina Eye Associates in Pinehurst NC. where I have always received exceptional care. My recent appointments with Dr. Throneburg and Dr. Fakadej deserve a special note of appreciation, however. After successful cataract surgery, I could not be more pleased the kindness and personal, professional treatment I received. The doctors and staff are a credit to their Carolina Eye group and to our community.
My Dr. and his staff were excellent
Dr. White and his staff are great. I went in for a consultation and the procedure was performed that same day, to my surprise. I was very happy with Dr. White and his staff. I never felt rushed with his staff and they seemed to care about what they were doing the entire time. Highly recommended.
Good care from people who seem to be concerned with your comfort and care. Dr.White is exceptional as is his staff. The personnel in pre-op are efficient but considerate. The only problem is that the wait to be seen can be long at times.
I was here last week and it took absolutely forever and now I’m here for surgery and it’s stupid slow again. When I signed in they took me right back to get payment then put me in a room that is full of other patients just waiting endlessly!!!
We have had a wonderful experience with all of our visits. The doctor is excellent and very caring.
I can't remember when I've had a better experience at a doctor's office. From check-in to discharge, it was great. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give.them a 15.
The best concern facility ever.would recommend everyone to go there
They take way to long & it reminds me of a hospital I don't see myself coming back here
My husband and I both had cataract surgery a few months ago. We were both very pleased with the services and outcomes. Dr. John French and his staff were knowledgeable and caring. Concerns and questions were readily explained. We were called the day after each surgery for followup. Calls made after surgery were quickly returned. Dr. French made us feel comfortable and at ease. We highly recommend Dr. French for his expertise and ability to relate to his patients.
Excellent full service eye care. They have provided all my eye care for many years. Routine eye exams through several eye surgeries. All the doctors and staff I've dealt with have provided excellent care, in a professional and friendly manner. It is a well run practice and I recommend them.
Ten days post op eye lid surgery; fantastic bed side manner, excellent surgical skills, beyond pleased with results. I highly recommend Dr White and his wonderful staff.
I rarely review but I have to rave about the all star staff at Caroline Eye Associates in Pinehurst! From the lady who checks you in, Tracey, who is AWESOME and extremely helpful to the man, Bill, who operates the shuttle to your car (which is rarely offered anywhere but was an amazing FREE service for those after eye surgery). I accidentally left my cell phone on the seat and he made sure I got it back! Just overall great customer service!!
move you to too many places. too much on me, imagine how an elderly patient may feel
I first went to Carolina Eye Associates 2 years ago as I was having vision issues with my left eye. I was first seen by Dr. Nicole Apple and upon seeing an issue with my eye I was sent to Dr. Hadad. Dr. Hadad discovered that I had what could be a macular hole issue and was then sent to Dr. French. Yes, I was in need of a macular hole repair and Dr. French performed the surgery. I have been seeing all three of these Dr.’s for 2 years now and I can’t say enough good things about them. They all have met my needs and I would recommend either of these three Dr.’s to anyone. I just had another eye exam last week and all is well. Thank you Dr. Apple, Dr. Hadad and Dr. French.
Wonderful employees and doctors. Sueanne, Rhonda; and Dr. Throneburg made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the problems I was having. I will recommend Carolina Eye to anyone!!!
My wife had cataract surgery by Dr. Fakadej. She immediately began having problems, then lost vision - took them a week to discover that she had developed an infection in her eye, which they treated with multiple painful antibiotic shots in the eye; they then wanted to do a Vitrectomy surgery to remove the inflammation from her eye, which she did not have done. Tests later at Duke Eye Care determined that the infection occurred quickly after surgery, and that the recommended surgery would have not been successful, as her optic nerve was destroyed from the infection, a condition which cannot be corrected; therefore, that eye is blind for life. Dr. Fakadej had previously treated my wife for a scratch on the cornea, which she indicated had healed??? She did not see my wife for a month before the surgery, and no pre-op visit. Also, there is no indication that antibiotics were used after surgery. Her arrogance, quick actions on decisions and relaying information, and lack of attention to my wife's condition was very disappointing. She bragged more than once that this was only her 3rd failure in 25 years! Caroline Eye has gone downhill since the passing of founder, Dr. Martin, as greed has set in.
Dr. White has performed two eyelid surgeries for me. The outcome for both has been great. He is a caring surgeon - reassuring and supportive. During the two surgeries Carolina Eye and the surgical center have both shown top-notch professionalism and care in providing the supporting services required during the surgical processes. I will definitely go to Carolina Eye for any future eye issues.
Cold and rainy and have to walks mile from parking lot to door. On nice days they have a cart to ride you.
Doctor was knowledgeable, but the WAIT time was terrible. I had to wait almost 4 hours total. There is no excuse for being "forgotten about" in a doctor's office.
Dr. Mincey of Caroline Eye Assoc. performed a retinal reattachment surgery on my eye. His surgery failed within a week. Carolina Eye Assoc. was immediately contacted about the re-detachment. They had me come in that day for an exam and to get corrective surgery scheduled. Unfortunately, Dr. Mincey did not perform the reattachment surgery until 6 days later... Upset about the delay, Dr. Mincey reassured me that he could wait 10 days before there was any risk to my retina, and that I could expect a full recovery. Later, we learned the standard of care in Raleigh is no more than 5 days before a dramatic increases in risk for loss of vision. By the 5th day, my macula detached (this is bad, very bad if you want to see again). To make matters worse - the second surgery did not go well. To be sure, it's a complicated surgery requiring skill and careful execution. So, it was extremely disappointing to learn from Dr. Messner, Carolina Eye Associate's cataract surgeon, that Dr. Mincey tore a hole in the back of my cornea. Something Dr. Mincey did not tell me - the whole while he touted how the surgery went beautifully and how perfectly the retina looked. That tear in the cornea...led to complications with the cataract surgery. When Dr. Messner was removing the lens, debris fell thru that hole into the eye. This required a second, post-cataract surgery to remove the debris. Post Op, we learned that Dr. Messner had to stretch my pupil. In the process, he tore the muscles in the iris causing permanent atrophy (loss of use) of the iris. Damage to my iris means it doesn't constrict properly, making it painful to go outside without sunglasses. It's like turning on the bathroom light in the morning before you're awake...hurts! After 5 surgeries and 10 months of Post-op treatment, I will never again see clearly out of the eye Dr. Mincey and Dr. Messner operated on. It's my opinion that the permanent blurry, distorted vision and light sensitivity is the result of waiting too long to reattach the retina, along with damage to the iris. Other problems with their surgeries include: 1.) the cataract replacement lens does not completely cover my pupil - it is not centered properly. 2.) My retina and eye ball are disfigured and scarred. 3.) Their surgeries have left me with "eyelid droop". 4.) Loss of contrast vision, changes to color and deterioration of night vision. In fairness, I am thankful to have 30-40% percent vision in my eye. Not great. Better than none. If you need eye surgery, you will likely be immediately referred to one place or another. My advice - don't "blindly" agree to any referral. Not all surgeons are equal. Stop, take a breath, then research any referral. Take control and make an informed decision. Preserving your eye sight is worth it!!!
I wanted to leave a review simply because I was so impressed. Because of other reviews, I expected the worst, but I am happy to say that they were very prompt and professional. I couldn't be happier with my treatment.
Dr. Jeff White does awesome work
They are very empathetic, sympathetic, and response to after hour calls are amazing.
Carolina Eye Associates is a professional organization with a courteous staff. Dr. Haddad is an excellent surgeon and her team is very professional. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and highly recommend their services.
This was a point in my life where i have never been so scared. Not knowing what to expect, or how my vision would be. Dr. Fakadej was absolutely amazing. The entire staff was professional, personable, and answered any and all questions to put my mind at ease. I highly recommend this facility. You will be glad you did!!
I would just like to thank the Eye Surgery Center for their services. I really felt like I was their only patient, because if the treatment I received from entering through my surgery. I was so pleased at the care, treatment of all the staff! If there were 10 stars, they would get a 10 rating. If there are those who had a wait time. It was probably because of running a little behind. That happens with every Dr. Office at one point and time. If you are a potential patient at this facility don't hesitate, just do it! I am a satisfied patient. Thank you Dr Jeffrey white for squeezing me in!.
