I have worked in the medical field my entire career and I am very particular about my caregivers. I “interview” physicians before I decide if I would want him/her to be ‘my’ physician. Dr Reish meets all the qualifications of what I expect in a surgeon. He spends time with me, speaking “to” me, not “at” me. The time he takes to answer all my questions is far beyond my expectations. For over two years I searched for a Physician I could trust 100%. I went on numerous consultations with Doctors from various States. I did my research on each and every one. With the assistance from Doctors and other medically trained professionals in my family and circle of friends, I knew what to avoid as well as what to look for. His brilliance and compassion are above and beyond anyone I have ever dealt with in the medical profession. I suffered greatly with knee pain prior to the surgery and in the past three months, I have been pain free. The excess skin removal alleviated all the pressure. I can barely see the incisions. My Primary care Physician and Orthopedist are in awe of his masterful skills. I have referred several friends and family members to Dr. Reish and they all feel the way I do about him. It took me over a year to find the best surgeon that would give me the best results for a tummy tuck. After looking through his credentials, I felt really good about meeting with him to discuss the procedure. As soon as I had my consultation with Dr. Reish, I instantly knew he was the right surgeon to perform the surgery. He was not only professional, but very kind and welcoming. He genuinely cares about providing the best results. At 8 months post-op, my tummy tuck scar ended up developing into a keloid scar. There was no way for me to know that I’d end up getting it, as I never had a scar prior to surgery. Before surgery, I accepted and prepared myself to deal with any arising issues and knew that I might have to come out of pocket to cover any costs related to those issues. When he confirmed that it was a keloid scar, he immediately set an appointment for me a week later to treat the scar with steroid injections. Depending on the size of the scar, it can be up to 5 serperate sessions. With the fee that I paid for my abdominoplasty, the treatment was included! That really made me happy. Did I mention that all post op appointments are included in the fee!? Not soon after that, I ended up developing “dog ears” on each side of my hips. He set an appointment to remove them about a month later and during the procedure I felt absolutely nothing (30 min procedure with local anesthesia on the area). The procedure was also included with the fee! When electing to get plastic surgery, we have to understand and accept that not everything will come out perfect and that’s due in part to how our body responds to it. And that’s why it’s so important to choose the best doctor that will give us optimal results! And Reish definitely does. The best way to describe him is that he goes above and beyond for his patients, like he did with me. His staff also makes all office visits pleasant and are very professional. I am now 1 year post op and loving my results! Will definitely be going back!

I came to him because after having my children and two c-sections my body was not where I wanted it to be. I recently had my surgery in December 2018, where Dr.Reish performed a revision rhinoplasty and liposuction on by abs/flanks. I can not express how life-changing these procedures have been, and how incredible Dr.Reish was through out the entire process. It took me two years worth of consultations until I came across Dr.Reish! Being “botched” from my previous surgery, I wanted to take the extra measure of finding a knowledgable doctor. I went on countless consultations and wasted so much money on fees trying to meet with some of the “celebrity” doctors in NY, and yet I did not feel comfortable with any of them. Not to mention, the ridiculous charges. They didn’t go into detail of what the procedure(s) entailed, nor did they give the patient anytime. To them, it seemed that money was their outmost concern. The consultation fee at Long Island Plastic Surgery Group is free. After searching through all the doctors at the facility, I was most impressed by Dr. Reish’s work, and decided to meet with him. He was so attentive, informative, very patient, and most of all honest. Just to give you an idea of how much I bombarded him with my questions - I consulted with him 3 times in person, emailed him 3 times with more questions - where he replied back within 24 hours, sometimes within minutes, and answered any concerns my family and I had. He explained my options and expectations. Sure enough, he did a wonderful job reconstructing my nose to what I had desired. As for the lipo, the results are excellent with minimal scaring, which continue to nicely heal. Aside from being a well knowledgable doctor, he has great bedside manners! He exchanged numbers during the pre-ops meeting and let me know that I can reach out to him anytime. Post-surgery, he checked in through out the week on my progress, which is something I very much appreciated, and felt comfortable knowing I can contact him if needed. I highly recommend Dr. Reish and will definitely be going back to him if I’d like to get anything else done. I’m very happy with my results and completely trust him, that even other members of my family have already scheduled procedures with him.

I recently had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Reish this November and I could not be happier with my results. I setup a consultation based on his education, his multitude of glowing online reviews and the fact that he is part of a large, reputable practice (in addition to his own). The consultation with Dr. Reish is free, which I think sets a very good tone for the relationship. During my consult, we went over all of my concerns and he reviewed what the surgery would entail. He is super nice with such a positive attitude you cannot help but feel you are in good hands. Surgery was truly a breeze and I had very little discomfort and - no exaggeration - zero pain during my recovery. I only took 3 Extra Strength Tylenol in total (two after my surgery and one the following morning). Special shout outs to his anesthesiologist, Dr. Spitzer and his PA, Rachel - both took excellent care of me! Dr. Reish also texted me regularly to see how I was feeling. It's been nearly two months now and I love how much better my nose looks not to mention the vast improvement in my breathing! If you are considering this type of surgery, I highly suggest you give Dr. Reish a visit. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Reish! We met him in Boston at Mass General while my husband was being treated for a rare form of cancer called chordoma. Due to complications, we were introduced to Dr. Reish and his associates. After several surgeries & months of wearing a wound vac, he was finally ready for the wounds to be closed. I don’t even know where to begin, so I’ll start here… Dr. Reish is an amazingly talented, exceptionally artistic, excellent surgeon!! I truly thank God for him. His work on and in my nose has truly changed my life. I have despised aspects of my nose since elementary school, since my earliest of memories. Throughout my life, I often thought of having it “fixed”, so about 7 years ago, well into my late 30’s, I started this journey with extensive research, educating myself on this procedure and all other relevant info. necessary to make a sound decision. I was also on a quest to find the right surgeon and then maybe I would actually consider getting it done. I went on several consultations with some very high profile doctors and was always left with an uneasy feeling in my gut, not to mention in tears as well. I found Dr. Reish almost by accident on Realself and decided to go on one last consultation to see him. I am SOOO glad I did!!... because it has been life changing. When I met him, I was not only super impressed by his extensive résumé and list of credentials, but also his bedside manner, professionalism, and confidence along with his sincere and contagious enthusiasm. It was the first time throughout this journey where I had hope and a quiet excitement about the possibilities for my nose, (and ultimately my life… anyone out there that can relate to my story in anyway knows what I am talking about). My nose was very, very complicated. Aside from what bothered me the most, its’ overprojection… I also had a jagged, asymmetrical bump, deviated septum, split tip cartilage, and a functional breathing issue. And… it was all just getting worse with age. So, at the age of 43, I realized it was now or never and if there was anyone in this world I would trust my nose, my face, with… it would be Dr. Reish. So, I am officially 3 weeks out from this life changing surgery and it has been a great success!! My nose is absolutely beautiful!! It is the essence of my natural nose minus all the unattractive and complicated aspects of what it was. I can now fully breathe so much better and was able to notice it the moment I woke up from surgery. I am absolutely in love with my new and improved nose and profile, I honestly can’t stop looking at it. He also checked in with me daily the week following my surgery and I knew he was just a text away if I had a question or concern. Dr Reish is an exceptional surgeon. He is as kind, gentle and sincere as he is meticulous, precise and conscientious. He listened carefully to my exact needs and overdelivered. After complex surgery (bilateral breast reduction), that took a couple of hours to do, there was so little pain that I needed only Tylenol. I was up and about within 48 hours. Right now, I am 1 week post op and I am moving around almost having forgotten I had major surgery. There was no bleeding/no drains/no inflammation. I haven’t needed/taken any painkillers for 24 hours. Dr Reish checked in with me every single day and replied to queries within minutes for the entire week. The results are already amazing and I’m astounded. Dr Reish’s team is just as brilliant as he is. I was a complicated patient for anaesthesia and his outstanding anaesthesiologist (Dr Christina Spitzer) took meticulous care so I was completely safe and incredibly comfortable throughout. She even checked in with me afterwards. The dedicated RN looking after me (Colleen Moritz RN) made me feel like I was family, going the extra mile with her kindness. I cannot recommend Dr Reish enough. He makes miracles happen.

Dr. Reish has recently preformed my facelift and tummy tuck. I couldn't be happier with my results. After having my daughter my nightmare began thankfully for me I got to meet Dr. Richard Reish who is not only a charming, extremely smart, polite and once of the most incredible doctor I have got to meet in my life. After many other horrible doctors (2 past hernia repair surgeries) and horrible experiences I discover Dr. Reish with his gentleness he explained everything he was going to do to make me whole again and so my life started again, it felt like light was turn on again. I had an extensive hernia protrusion as well as my abdominal wall were completely destroyed my body looked as if I was pregnant only on one side of it, I hated myself. I had a long procedure with Dr. Reish and his colleague and he not only fix me but made my body whole again. I had a “Componet Separation Repair” in which they repaired my abdonimal wall and hernia to make sure it never came back again. A long procedure and dangerous one, but because I had such an amazing doctors, I was up and runnin in as little as 1 week. This is just phase one of this journey and I feel great. I am 1 year post-op right now and my walls are so strong is almost unbelievable that 1 year from now I was so broken. I am extremely thankful I met this doctor and would recommend him to anyone.
