His surgical center was clean and state of the art. I am thrilled with the results. If you are considering a tummy tuck or any other cosmetic procedure, Dr. Schwartz is the doctor for you. I was referred to Dr. Schwartz for my breast reconstruction following a mastectomy. To be honest, I didn’t hear a word he said on that first visit. But I felt his compassion. Dr. Schwartz balanced his time with me between being a good listener and being able to impart concise and valuable information. Unlike most doctors I have met, he is not at all condescending. He shared his considerable knowledge with me, giving options and alternatives, demonstrating that he is there to make his patients feel better, look better, and not for his own gain. His work was exceptional. The healing was quick. It was very comforting to have him so concerned and involved with my follow up care. The visits back to his office were always a positive experience, where he again seemed genuinely concerned about my progress. Dr. Schwartz is the best! I had my first ever laser treatment on my face and I absolutely loved my experience! Dr. Schwartz and his lovely staff performed the Halo treatment on face. I discussed my goals for my skin and Dr. Schwartz recommended the Halo treatment to minimize pores, even skin tone and get rid of acne scaring/ sun damage. The treatment was more than tolerable and I totally enjoyed the entire experience! I already feel like I’m glowing and the best is yet to come. Dr. Schwartz sent me home with his very own customized gentle facial cleanser and special cream for post treatment which was complimentary with my Halo treatment. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Schwartz you will love him!

Dr Schwartz completely changed my life! I recently lost an extreme amount of weight and was ready to take my body to the next level and forgo plastic surgery to improve my appearance. Dr Schwartz is a kind, compassionate, and patient surgeon. He performed a blepharoplasty on me (removed the extra skin from my upper eyelids) before my wedding and literally took years off my appearance. I went from looking tired in all my pictures to looking bright and beautiful on my big day. The longterm result is fantastic, and you would never know I had any surgery at all. He is warm and always available, and he produces consistent results without the plastic surgery look.

Being a new mother and being diagnosed with Breast Cancer increases that persons' level of stress. After speaking with the Doctors and trying to understand the treatment plan. A patient can either accept or reject that prognosis. I accepted my prognosis after I had met with all my Doctors. I was referred to Dr. Mark Schwartz in August 2005 by the Oncologist. The day of my appointment, I was very nervous. The staff professionalism made me feel comfortable. It was my turn to meet Dr. Schwartz. I was a bit nervous, but his professionalism and knowledge of my situation melted my nervousness and fears away. After speaking with Dr. Schwartz, I was ready to fight for my life. I met with Dr. Schwartz a week before the surgery. I was given written instructions and the prescriptions I would be taking. I was also given the last minute instructions that would have taken place in the Operating Room at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. The day of the surgery, I had to be at the hospital at 6 AM. I was wondering, if my surgeons would be on time? I was impressed and pleased at the same time because both of my surgeons were there by 6:30 AM. Dr. Schwartz came in to see me and he felt compelled to give me some more pep talk. I smiled because at this time I was not nervous and I had no fears. I was very ready to do this! The surgery lasted for hours. I was wheeled into the recovery room. While in the recovery room, I was still in and out of consciousness, but I can remember hearing Dr. Schwartz voice in the background and I smiled to myself. I spent the weekend in the hospital. I was very pleased to see Dr. Schwartz but I was more pleased to meet the residents whom was working with him. Their professionalism and attentiveness made my stay more pleasant. I received the same attentiveness and professionalism throughout my treatment and I had several more surgeries with Dr. Schwartz. In December of 2011, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a second time. I did not have to rethink whom I wanted my surgeon to be. I called Dr. Schwartz office and left a message for him to give me a call back. I received that call back shortly. I broke the bad news to him. After meeting with Dr. Schwartz, his residents, and his staff, that level of professionalism and caring soothed my pain away. I knew, I would be in good hands. I am still going through my treatment plan with Dr. Schwartz. After my treatment plan has been completed. I will be seeking Dr. Schwartz expertise in tighten up and lifting much needed areas of my body that was left unattended for years. I am pleased and honored to have Dr. Mark Schwartz as my surgeon. It was a pleasure writing this review about a him.

My experience with Dr. Mark Schwartz has been nothing but positive. I have a keloid scar condition and have been treated with kenalog (mixed with lidocaine) which has reduced my scar from hard and very painful to soft and no pain left at all. Dr. Schwartz is compassionate and skilled and I would recommend him to everyone I know. Also, Dr. Schwartz closed my incision after an abdominal surgery and it is now a small white (almost invisible) scar with no keloiding!

After calling his office about emergency stitches for my active 4 yr old - Megan was comforting and was able to arrange for Dr. Schwartz to come to the ER at NYP/Cornell to perform the facial stitches. Dr. Schwartz is an artist. I came to him after having a 250lb weight loss. I had lots of excess skin, and was very apprehensive about getting the surgery done to correct the problem. He was caring, responsive and thorough, answering all of my questions with a grace and compassion that I have never experienced before. He was thorough in his preparations and made me feel at ease because of his gentle bedside manner. I have had several surgeries with Dr. Schwartz and each time I have been pleased with the whole experience. His office is clean and his operating room is state of the art. I feel more comfortable in his office than I ever would in a hospital. His staff is warm and caring and knowledgeable. My results have been amazing and the results are natural . "Amazing" said several doctors including dermatologists, after Dr. Schwartz' surgery on a melanoma in the middle of my face. It was ~1 inch circumference and deep. It is now all but invisible. Astounding results! Wow! I was referred by three doctors who each said, "Dr. Schwartz is the best in NYC."

The best plastic surgeon in the UES! I see Dr. S for my skin treatments and fillers. I just recently had my lips filled and had the HALO laser. Love this laser!!!! Cleans up my skin so I do not have to wear anything on my skin except blush. Dr. S is the nicest doctor you will ever meet. He takes his time with you and NEVER makes you feel rushed. I can't say enough about Dr. Schwartz. He is an artist. Dr. Schwartz is a brilliant doctor and a kind, compassionate man. His superb intellect is apparent right away. I have truly never seen a doctor whose skill level is so high also be such a warm & compassionate person. He does intricate and artful work with wound closures and scar revisions. On one occasion, I had an incision from a dermatologic surgeon who performed a Mohs procedure under my eye which Dr. Schwartz closed up. It was quite a long incision, yet it healed beautifully and is now almost imperceptible. Despite the fact that I have a collagen condition which makes my scars very difficult to deal with, Dr. Schwartz is able to leave me with beautiful results. He is patient and takes all the time necessary to create the perfect outcome. He is outstanding.

My wife and I recommend Dr. Schwartz as a wonderful doctor and fine human being. Several months ago, my wife was seriously injured when she was hit in the face with a fireplace poker just below her left eye. This was a serious incident that could easily have resulted in the loss of that eye or even the loss of her life had the poker landed slightly higher or off to the side. After meeting with us a couple of times and cautiously having presurgical testing done by other physicians, Dr. Schwartz operated on my wife at New York Hospital. Despite my wife's considerable anxiety about this procedure and the psychological injury that this event caused her, my wife emerged from the surgery and recovery tremendously relieved. Over the last few months, Dr. Schwartz has helped her to resume her normal life despite this tremendously traumatic event. As our own ophthalmologist put it after carefully examining the area of the injury and the surgery, "Dr. Schwartz did a great job. Once this has completely healed, if you can see any scar tissue at all, you'll need a microscope to see it." Dr. Schwartz is the kind of doctor who calls you over the weekend to see how you are doing (!). Dr. Schwartz is the kind of doctor who says, frequently, that he is honored to have you as a patient. The friend of my wife's who recommended Dr. Schwartz to her said: "When my baby had a serious injury to his face, I went to New York Hospital and said, 'Who is the best you have to operate on my son?' And they said, 'Well, there's a guy in the ER right now, and he's very good. And then there's a guy we have on call who we could get in here, and he's really good. And then there's Dr. Schwartz. He's the best.'" We could not agree more.

I have been contemplating a brachioplasty for several years, but have been hesitant to do so because I had not found the right doctor. Immediately after meeting Dr. Shwartz, I knew he would be my surgeon for this procedure. Dr. Shwartz was realistic about scarring and complications that may come from surgery. This was the first surgery I have had, I can't say it was super easy, but Dr. Shwartz along with his staff definitely facilitated the process. I am now a month post surgery. I am extremely happy with the results. He took away all of the sagging skin and made my arms look proportionate to my body. The scars are still fresh, but have been looking great! I went to see Dr. Schwartz regarding my ears because all of my life it's been a concern and an issue that has highly effected my self-esteem. I had been thinking about undergoing surgery to correct the protrusion but didn't really know who to go to or what the best course of action was. Plus, I'm a grad student and finances regarding cosmetic surgery was definitely a concern. A friend of mine went to see him to have her facial cyst removed and he did an awesome job. You could barely see the scar and she mentioned how nice and sweet he was. So, she recommended I see him. After looking online and reading the reviews I was more than pleased to schedule an appt but then last minute I had to cancel due to a family emergency. I called to let them know and requested to reschedule an appt on the spot. They were totally nice, and let me reschedule the appt without a hassle. I finally went in for the consultation and totally loved Dr. Schwartz. He was not at all arrogant like I've heard plastic surgeons can be and his staff was also super! He answered all my questions and actually started by asking me what bothered me most about my ears as opposed to assuming. After the consultation I met with the office manager Michelle regarding the transactional aspect of the surgery and she was very nice and upfront about all the details. Lest to say that I decided to go with Dr. Schwartz for my surgery. It was relatively easy, I had it at the office (he has a surgical suite) and the staff again was great. The cost was definitely affordable and not at all extravagant. I never felt rushed or pushed into surgery or for payment. I was thoroughly informed by both Dr. Schwartz and his staff every step of the way regarding everything. I felt I had the best care in the world and most important of all I feel great. My ears looks totally normal and natural. My scars are healing great although still in the healing process. The recovery for the procedure was not difficult (i did have to wear a headband for two weeks) and I felt I had picked the right person. I would recommend Dr. Schwartz in a heartbeat and feel very grateful that I can feel normal and not self-conscious about my ears anymore.

I was referred to Dr. Schwartz for the lines around my eyes and some sagging jowls. I had erbium laser + ulthera therapy, and had a great experience. As a physician myself I interact with many doctors and practices and I was very impressed with Dr. Schwartz. Besides having impressive credentials and skills, he has one of the nicest bed side manners of any physician I have come in contact with. He was thorough and patient explaining my options and what to expect. I found him to be extremely well informed in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including laser treatments. I feel that because of his familiarity with the laser treatments, I was able to achieve what I wanted with the lasers rather than surgery. It was helpful to have it all explained to me by a plastic surgeon who is comfortable with non-surgical procedures since he did not push me to have surgery. I am very pleased with the results of the treatments. His office is also clean and pleasing and the office staff were courteous and professional. Overall a very positive experience and results. I would highly recommend Dr. Schwartz as an excellent plastic surgeon for surgery as well as laser procedures.

This man is truly an angel in white. Though he is a wonderful plastic surgeon, folks should know that he is also a reconstructive surgeon. In 2007, I had a horrific post-op infection in my knee that landed me in Dr. Schwartz's office. He did a massive reconstruction, using my calf muscle and skin graft. He never hurt me one bit though post-op pain was a bear. Six years later, he assisted in opening and closing my knee with doctors at HSS when I had a replacement done. I adore the man. Gentle and always smiling. A true credit to the medical profession!

I contacted him through the website and quickly received a call from his office. I had been suffering from a cyst on my chin for over two years, and visited several dermatologist and head and neck doctors who couldn’t seem to diagnose or treat it properly. On my first visit to Dr. Schwartz I was welcomed by their amazing secretary and within moments was introduced to his assistant Michelle who made me feel comfortable and taken care of. Dr. Schwartz was extremely professional and immediately put me at ease with his great personality. I have had a lot of experience with Doctors who have treated me like I was just the next patient, but Dr. Scwartz was invested in me and my case. That same visit he removed my cyst and now it is healing wonderfully. I am 100% satisfied and finally feel like I can be myself again. Dr Mark Schwartz is one of the most gifted plastic surgeons I know. He was my plastic surgeon in 2003 to perform reconstruction breast surgery after a bilateral mastectomy. Besides being a gifted surgeon he is a compassionate human being. His website wonderfully portrays his abilities but doesn't touch upon his kindness and humility. If you need a plastic surgeon he is your guy. I traveled out of state to use him on several occasions and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Mark H. Schwartz performed my tummy tuck procedure along with a little lipo on the sides on January 15th. I'm Latina, 37 years old with two kids. I'm not considered skinny but before my daughter I never had a belly. When I met Dr. Schwartz, I knew he was the doctor for me, not only is he a plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgeon (magic hands!!), but he is truly a kind and caring man. He is patient and thorough. His staff is awesome as well; Barbara and Meagan and fantastic! I've never waited more than ten minutes to be seen and on the few occasions I had my son with me, Dr. Swartz took him behind the reception area and gave him some goodies from their stash! The had my prescriptions over a week before the surgery and the night before Michelle called to remind me not to eat that night and a few hours later, Dr. Schwartz called me to make sure I was doing ok. The morning off I met his medical staff, one by one. Susan, who was prepping me for surgery was my angel; I was so nervous and she was so incredibly sweet and patient. I am so grateful for her that day. Dr. Schwartz has a state of the art operating room, it is immaculate; seriously pristine!!! So there I am, a little cold, painted in iodine and the nurse turns on the tunes to something mellow, Dr. Schwartz is holding my right hand and asking me what kind of music do I listen to (while the anesthesiologist is working on my left) and before I knew it, I was knocked out. I will say that despite my incredible nerves then, I was not in the least nervous about Dr. Schwartz performing the procedure at all! After the surgery they all helped me get in the car and my husband drove us home. The next afternoon, Dr. Schwartz passed by my home with Barbara to make sure I was holding up ok and to change my bandages. Isn't he just the greatest??!! Who does that?? I was so taken back by this great gesture. So when he changed my bandages, I asked my husband to grab a mirror so that I can see the results - Wow - I looked HOT just a DAY after surgery! Amazing feeling, amazing job! I truly feel a sense of confidence that I haven’t felt in years. Dr. Swartz is not only a scholar in his field but he is thoughtful, detailed, caring and patient. I would trust him to operate on my kids and I'm not just saying that - He will be removing a scar from my 7-year-old's forehead after this summer. I also intend to go back and get a few small procedures - and who wouldn’t with a doctor like mine!
