Linda was the first doctor my immediate doctor recommended me not to go to, because Linda has been in the busy for ahile she no longer has her heart in the work. She informed me she has received a lot of her patients unhappy with the service and out of the surgery. I highly recommend Anna Voltura in Santa Fe!!!!

Excellent and very thorough. Dr. Smith gives you the straight story of the situation and also takes the time to explain anything and everything you ask about. She is an excellent surgeon. I have been a patient of hers since 2002 for four surgeries. I saw her in March 2013 for a callback on her part, after she reviewed some lab results from a previous visit. She remarked that she spends most of her time on a patient's case when the patient is not there, reviewing results, consulting and deliberating. I highly recommend Dr. Smith to anyone who is in need of a breast surgeon.

Dr. Smith called my cancer the "killer" kind and rushed to surgery. Then she said she wasn't comfortable operating on me. I'm transgender. Her office never return calls & created a traumatic experience. I regret having to give even one star in this review. She made my diagnosis even more difficult with her negative, nasty energy. I see others have reviewed her as respectful and a doctor who gives you all information, compassion, etc. When my partner asked her what kind of cancer I have, she said "Lobular." That was the end of that conversation. I already knew more than that. I guess she's respectful, compassionate and all the rest as long as you're not transgender. I have found another surgeon and am receiving great care and respect. Dr. Smith never even examined me. The nurse said she would, but in both visits, she neglected to do so. She said she was "uncomfortable" with me. I supposed her comfort is very important to her - more important than my health. She made a traumatic diagnosis more traumatic and wasted my time.

If you're having issues after surgery, don't let the Dr. blow you off. It could affect your life even longer than cancer, outside of death. My health will forever be affected and I didn't have Cancer to begin with. Get a second opinion, read reviews, ask about their infection rates~

Linda Smith is a great doctor, however, the office organization is TERRIBLE. She is popular to be sure, because she is a great surgeon. This means her office is very busy--and completely chaotic. Don't go to her if you expect a smooth experience in the office. The employees are highly unprofessional, inexperienced, and they have high turnaround (I wonder why). It is near impossible to get someone on the phone to assist you, unless you want to schedule or pay your bill. If you leave a message, don't expect a phone call back. I have been charged incorrectly for my service, and 18 months and umpteen number of conversations with various employees later, the issue is still not fixed. I have spoken to the office over ten times and gone in person twice to resolve the problem. I will be sent to collections soon, due to a problem on their end. Naturally, I am becoming a bit irate and conveyed this to the office manager. Again, she is going to "have to call me back"...which may or may not happen. I informed her I would call the Better Business Bureau, and she hung up on me because I was "threatening" her. So, again, if you value your time--DON'T go here.

After dealing with a doctor who disregarded all my concerns and took 5 months to diagnose and treat my breast cancer I sought out a second opinion by Dr Smith. She was very knowledgeable, considerate, took time to listen to my concerns, and presented a very thorough follow up plan. Every person I talked to recommended seeing her and they were right. She is worth it.

She is a highly competent surgeon who makes sure you fully understand what is going to transpire and she always treats you with the upmost compassion and respect. Dr. Linda Smith was compassionate, thorough, nonjudgmental, and expressed caring concern. I give her 5 stars and I give her office manager 5 stars and 5 stars for follow up appointment calls. Her front line is lousy, I give them 2.5. I feel bad because good workers are hard to find. Employers have slim pickins when it comes to quality staff. I had to wait over 2.5 hours for my appointment. In this day and age Dr.s don't get to be disrespectful with your time. If your appointment is at 10, YOu should be seen at 10 or withing 30 minutes. Waiting for hours in a small room filled with people who smell like an ash trey sucks. Dr. Linda Smith is one of the most amazing dr's I've ever met but getting to her without losing your mind was a struggle. I'm sorry.

Dr. Smith and her staff are terrible, unprofessional and, unethical. Not only did she try to push me into getting unnecessary surgery for a benign papilloma in my breast and make me feel uncomfortable and about asking questions about "other possible options" than surgery, but her staff tried to bully me into paying a $500 fine for canceling my surgery date even though I cancelled in the time frame based on their requirements. When I initially called to cancel my surgery, Dr. Smith's scheduler would not call me back and I ended up having to go down to the office and give them an official "letter for cancellation ". They continued to threaten me that I owed them the $500 fine until I said I was going to get my attorney involved. Please get a second option from a more ethical and compassionate doctor and please do not let the staff bully you into paying money you don't actually owe them!!

I interacted with the Dr. and three of her staff briefly one afternoon and overall had a very favorable impression. It's true that they are hard to reach on the phone, and also that I couldn't get in to see the Dr. until an hour after I was scheduled (though that could have meant that she was very thorough and conscientious about answering other patients' questions even though spending extra time tends to throw off the schedule). But these are minor things, and I found the Dr. to be very erudite and both her and her staff to be very friendly, polite, caring, and professional.

Please...Please ladies get a second opioion!!! This lady's answer to everything is surgery!!! Trust me she always wants to do surgery. And if you disagree with her, she quickly becomes angry or upset with her patients! Cuz she profits more! She is the MOST uncaring doctor i have ever come across! And 2 staff that work directally with pts in particular are just awful people!!! I would challenge anyone to check out how many surgerys this so called doctor has performed. Just to fill her pockets!
