On March 19, 2019 I went to Tutela Plastic Surgery located in Livingston, NJ and met with Dr. John P. Tutela for a free consultation for a breast augmentation. I would like to begin by saying it was a positive experience in every aspect. In detail Dr. Tutela went on to explain how I needed a Mastopexy (Breast Lift) along with the Augmentation Mammaplasty w/ Silicone Gel Filled Implants (Implants). This was my second consultation that I went for. The other Dr. will remain nameless. Needless to say with the information that Dr. Tutela & his staff, Kate, Surgical Coordinator and Lisa, Office Manager, provided, this included my estimate and detailed on pre & post op information, I was calling their office the following morning to book my surgery. My surgery was scheduled for May 29, 2019 Prior to the surgery the attention and careful explanation of the procedure was very informative. Both Kate & Lisa were in contact with me from the time I booked the surgery until the week of. On the date of the surgery, prior to going into the OR I met with Dr. Tutela who provided his cell phone number and made sure he told me to call with any concerns and/ or question at any time. The week following the surgery I had many more questions that were answered promptly and professionally either by phone, email and in person with doctor follow ups... During the first couple of days it was a little uncomfortable however nothing that would keep me from my daily routine and being the mother of two teenage boys.... Currently I am 7 weeks post op and I am feeling greater than ever physically and mentally. I would highly recommend Dr. John Paul Tutela, Tutela Plastic Surgery. Post-opp appointment: went in for my 2 Week Post Opp yesterday for my breast implants/lift and MY SCARS ARE SO THIN AND SMALL on my breasts!!! As many of you have probably done, you've freaked yourself out and read/viewed photos on RealSelf and other sites of breast reconstruction/augments/lifts, etc. I saw some gnarly crooked thick scars that have been done to patients by other doctors. Whew, it can really be scary because these breast surgeries are not semi-permanent. But Dr. Tutela absolutely changed my life. I waited until he left the room to cry after my 2nd post opp when he takes your inciscion take off because I was so emotional and happy. Please note that whatever I needed after surgery, he did it. When he took the tape off my incisions yesterday, my mother and I were in awe of how teeny-tiny all the scars were, seriously. And how PRECISE they were. Even Jessica at the front desk (Livingston office) greets you with respect and a huge smile. I think she’s new there but it also goes to show that Dr. Tutela deeply cares about how his patients are treated in the appointment making/care process from beginning, throughout commicarion, and post surgery. And of course the ALL-STAR Business Manager Lisa Federico (NJ & NYC Offices) makes things so easy for me and I’m sure all other patients. Going out of her way to help me fax annoying paperwork that I was late getting to her. Texting, emailing and phone calls several times. Never got annoyed with me. Such a pleasant woman to work with and WAS indeed a small part of my deciding to choose Tutela Plastic Surgery. I've seen some other doctors and their front desk staff weren't up to par. Ohhhh and, they give you a cute comfy white robe in your post-opp appointment @ Livingston! So cute! Not a plastic robe that you usually get to cover yourself. Details matter :) Also guys, I'm not an influencer, I don't have a lot of social media followers, this isn’t a paid thing. I simply believe taking a moment to document my incredible experience is the least I can do so that others can utilize my feedback in their decision making.

Dr. Tutela is an incredible plastic surgeon. He works tirelessly to provide his patients with the results they are looking for. He has a wonderful bedside manner and values the trust he builds with each patient. Awesome plastic surgeon!

This review is long overdue! I had my breast reduction with Dr.Tutela in January 2018, and let me tell you what an incredible experience I had from start to finish with Tutela Plastic Surgery. I found Dr.Tutela online after doing a lot of research trying to find the best plastic surgeon in the area. I had scheduled several consultations with different surgeons, and Dr.Tutela was first on my list. After meeting with him, I immediately canceled all of the other appointments because I knew Dr.Tutela was the right doctor for me. Dr.Tutela made me feel so comfortable with him. He was extremely personable and you can tell he genuinely cares about each person who walks through the door. He was fun to talk to, yet extremely professional at the same time. He worked with me to create a surgical plan that was customized to me and my body. He answered every single question I had in detail, and I left my consultation feeling extremely excited about the next steps for booking my surgery! His staff was so helpful. Lisa was there every step of the way, from booking surgery to helping sort out any issues I had with billing companies. She was always happy to help and never made me feel like a bother! I loved stepping foot into that office. Every single time I was there for a post op appointment, I left with a smile on my face. Who would’ve ever thought I would be happy to go to the doctor? Dr.Tutela, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve never been this confident in my life. To go out and not have to wear a bra is a feeling I thought I would never get to experience. It’s so wonderful to be able to go shopping and not leave the dressing room in tears. Not having back pain anymore is a dream come true. I’m so happy I made the decision to go to Tutela Plastic Surgery. He absolutely changed my life. I highly recommend Dr.Tutela, but don’t just listen to me, his results certainly speak for themself. I experienced a complex issue from a previous breast aug from a surgeon where I live requiring someone who could specialize in fixing a ‘double bubble’ by doing the revision with a lift. I did extensive research on plastic surgeons all over the US to find someone who could do such a revision. I ended up choosing him and flying out of town to go to Dr. Tutela who from start to finish was incredible. One year post op and my results are magnificent and I have not had any issues. Tutela and his team were not only so wonderful in communicating with me, especially being out of town, but also very thorough. It’s obvious they hold high standards on customer service/bedside manner and value their patients. I would highly recommend anyone looking for any services from him no hesitation.

I had my surgery on 09/05/2018 and from the first consultation to current day I cannot thank Dr. Tutela and his staff more for making my experience so positive. His results speak for themselves, but the all around patient experience that you can’t see in pictures makes all the difference. Just shy of a year post op and I can still text him personally with any questions and get a quick reply. He and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and assist with any issues you may have throughout. You will not be disappointed in any aspect when you choose Dr. Tutela.
