Dr. Kaufman has done 3 family surgeries. He did a very successful phrenic nerve graft on my husband, giving him a new lease on life. Prior to the surgery my husband couldn’t walk up the steps, swim or ride a bike without being tremendously winded. A few years later my husband had eyelid ptosis. The eyelids drooped so much that his range of vision was seriously limited. He had no peripheral vision and the upper portions of his field of vision were significantly affected as well. After consulting with 3 local plastic surgeons he was told that a blepharoplasty would give him at best 10% increased vision range. They all suggested another procedure which would be more expensive. We went to see Dr. Kaufman who was confident he could get my husband maybe as much as 70% increased vision range, certainly more than 10%. The surgery was a huge success. My husband has his peripheral vision back and he can see traffic lights without having to lift up his head.. When I decided to have elective surgery I didn’t think twice about who I would use. Even though Dr. Kaufman’s office is a little more than 2 hours from my home I trusted his skills and judgment and integrity. It’s only 9 days since my surgery and I am seeing desired results. It will take a good 4 months before I see the final outcome but my main goal has already. been accomplished.

My husband had surgery on 08/03/2018 for a Phrenic Nerve disorder. My husband has suffered a very rare disorder from which no one could attempt to do any surgery here in our hometown. No one can know how challenging it has been. Dr Kaufman encouraged hope and we have expressed our sincere appreciation for all he has done to hopefully make a difference in my husband’s future. We truely believe our journey will not be a loss but rather a healing process in time. It’s a process for only time will tell if the surgery will work but our thoughts are very much hopeful in this process. Another surgery will occur next August possibly on the left side of my husband’s diaphragm to complete this process. God takes care of us and we are praying for a great success in this 3-4 year process. Surgery, diaphragm Therapy and much patience along with wearing the pacer as it can really be exhausting for my husband. Maybe there is someone who reads this who has had the surgery or planning on the surgery will be an encouragement for us all involved. Best for my husband as he endures this process because it isn’t easy or comfortable to say the least but he has a positive outlook and we are looking for the time and day where his life will change for the better to breathe normally once again.

I was introduced to Dr. Kaufman, by a friend and former patient of his, who had her breasts successfully reconstructed by him, as past doctors did not do a good job. She was very happy with her experience, and encouraged me to go and see him. Despite having scheduled surgery with another Plastic Surgeon before knowing of Dr. Kaufman, I decided to see him. I was very pleased with our first meeting, where he treated me with respect, and I immediately felt safe and secure with him. My right breast needed to be reconstructed to match the left, as my past Plastic Surgeon had failed to reconstruct them satisfactorily. Dr. Kaufman immediately knew exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem. In my gut I immediately knew that I had finally found the right doctor. I live out of state, but despite the long travel to see Dr. Kaufman, it was well worth it as I have now completed the process and I am very, very satisfied with the result. It is always a pleasure to visit Dr. Kaufman, as he is so charming, and always makes me feel at home. I will absolutely recommend all of my friends and acquaintances to Dr. Kaufman.
