Front desk lady is rude . She is probably a racist . They schedule my appointment said everything was all set then when I got there the front desk lady was rude again like she was on the phone and she said they don't take my insurance . Which is not true because thats the only reason my doctor sent me there and if it is true then they should inform people before they have them come in for an appointment. I am highly dissatisfied with their service and I will tell everyone I know not to go to this business.

Finally on Tuesday 01/26/18 I went to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and Doctor John Ready and his entire staff came to the point right of way. They all told me if you’re not ready for hip replacement. We will give you the cortisone shot where the pain is and we definitely recommend hip replacement and two days later I made the appointment and they booked me for the operation on Tuesday 04/14/15 and operation was a real success and no more pain at all. I highly recommend Dr John Ready and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

I have been here a few times. The Drs seem really good, but I have to say their receptionist are the worst. They always seem like they are annoyed to answer the phone. Rude if you have a question, it’s so unprofessional. This will make me leave this practice. This is their only job, if you are unhappy, quit! I don’t get why they act like your putting them out when your simply trying to schedule an appointment. Just spoke to my sister and she said she has had the same experience with them and has actually witnessed them put a patient on hold and then roll their eyes and complain about that patient!! Soooooo wrong! Shame on them! *** Adding to this review because I spoke with the Dr about my experience and was assured that things would be handled. Then I unexpectedly received a phone call asking to hear all my concerns and was thanked for my feedback. I was impressed with the follow up on this matter.

Staff is very personable and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to help you solve your medical issues and work with your insurance company. The doctors are top notch.

Went to Essex orthopedics because of hurt my foot was given an x-ray in the office. I was told that they do not see any breaks and we should schedule an appointment to come back in two weeks. Still in pain I went back two weeks later and they said we need to have an MRI. I had to go back again for the MRI. Then had to wait about a week to go see the doctor because he wasn't available to read my MRI results. Still in pain went back to the office so that they can tell me my foot is broken. Each time I went to the office I had to wait over an hour to see a doctor. Finally when I did see him I spoke to him for a few minutes. The final straw was that they provided me with a boot that cost me $595, the same boot I was able online on multiple websites for under $70. I am not very happy with service that I received and do not recommend Essex orthopedics as you're just a number and they don't care. There are plenty of other places to go which I am currently doing now.

Dr Philbrick, Did a wonderful job taking care of my broken are. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He clearly explained options and expectations. I would request him again if I were to need an orthopaedic specialist again.

I've been seeing Essex Orthopedics for years. I don't trust my ortho needs to anyone else. I have vary rarely had to wait more than 20 minutes and ALWAYS was treated courteously, professionally and with a friendly manner.
