I generally don't leave reviews but I felt it necessary to leave one for Dr. Eric Swanson. I've researched a number of doctors to perform my Tummy Tuck, and this includes surgeons nationwide. After much debate I decided to go with Dr. Swanson after reviewing a lot of his work (before and after pics) and reading testimonials from some of his clients. After visiting with him, I decided to let him perform my procedure. I have to say that based on my results this was an excellent decision!!!! I'm so happy and very satisfied with my results!!!! I wore a 2 piece bathing suit for the first time in 15 years. I'm extremely grateful and thankful for the care that was given to me every step of the way. The facility is very modern, the entire staff is fantastic, and the after care is first class. I highly recommend Dr. Swanson if you are considering getting this procedure done. Excellent results!!!!

I recently had a breast reduction and am so ecstatic about my results! They are what I've dreamed of having for 15 years or so. From the front of the office to the back, everyone is so caring and professional. Stephanie was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with insurance processes and costs. Janice is so pleasant on the phone and during each and every visit. Dr. Swanson and his nursing staff were very thorough in explaining the procedure and post-op care. And what an amazing convience to have the procedure there onsite! I am so happy I chose Dr. Swanson for my surgery!

I went to Dr. Swanson for a rhinoplasty. I had two failed septoplasties in the past and finally decided to go the cosmetic route to see if the result would be better. I cannot say enough about this surgeon. I went to six consults in Dallas, Texas (where I live) and although there were plenty of qualified surgeons, I did not get that "feeling" of having any of them being the surgeon for me. I, originally, saw Dr. Swanson three years ago and decided to go back to Kansas in order to have him do my surgery. I knew he was the surgeon for me. His office staff was great about all the lead up to my surgery. They made it so easy to get records, lab orders, payment, and general information. Janice is incredible! The day before surgery I came for my pre-op and I was so surprised by their flexibility in my appointment time (since I drove up from Dallas the night before) and how smooth it went to get everything done. I had to bring my three children with me, and the Janice let them stay in the front while I had everything done. I was in and out in no time at all. The day of surgery was even better. The nurse was nice and calming and got me in and all set up very quickly. She reassured me that Dr. Swanson was incredible and so was the CRNA that would be administering and monitoring my anesthesia. Kim, the CRNA, came in and talked to me about what she would be doing and made sure I knew she administers multiple medications to prevent nausea as well. This is incredible! I get nauseous very easily so it was great reassurance that she was on top of it. The surgery was quick and I went home to recover. I have had ZERO pain, only slight discomfort due to pressure and a headache (imagine that!) but all was manageable from the medications they gave me. I ended up getting Juvederm Ultra Plus in my lips at my post-op appointment and that looks incredible as well. I have been sending Dr. Swanson selfies in order for him to monitor my post-op. GO TO DR. SWANSON!!!! You will NOT regret it!

I went to see Doctor Swanson initially for lipo on my thighs and a fat transfer to my cheekbones. While the lipo procedure went fine, the fat transfer has settled into fat bulges underneath both of my eyes. The fat bulge under my right eye is especially noticeable and it has since impacted my vision--causing it to swell and tear frequently. While I did go back to him so he could try to remove the fat in that location, he refused to do it and instead suggested I get chemical fillers injected into the area to plump up the entire surface area and mask the bulge of fat. This was 2 years ago. Since then, I have researched this exact situation and unfortunately it is not uncommon for fat transfer near the eye area to create fat bulges once the swelling goes down. In fact, more experienced surgeons will NOT even perform this because the eye area is unpredictable. I would NEVER return to Dr. Swanson and I would caution anyone who is looking for a surgeon to make sure the procedure you want is something that is straight forward and is not known to have ANY risks.

Dr. Swanson is the most skilled and professional plastic surgeon in the four state area. He is very humble about his work. He has actually repaired a severed arm and the boy threw out the first pitch at the Royals Stadium. I had him repair my severed hand I injured with a power tool. NO ONE can find the scar today. HE IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Any procedure he does he is a true artist!!!!!!

I truly don't believe there are enough positive things I could say about Dr. Swanson and his staff. My experience there was beyond impeccable, and Dr. Swanson does immaculate work. I chose to visit Dr. Swanson for a revision after having complications with two breast augmentations from a different surgeon. I was extremely frustrated with my surgeries, and began to feel like I just wasn't meant to have the breasts that I had always wanted. I went in for a consultation hoping to hear the doctor felt comfortable correcting my case, and by the time I left I had completed my pre-op appointment, and left with my surgery scheduled four days later. Dr. Swanson took the time to explain to me the difference between the different implant profiles, sizes, and types (saline or silicone). He helped me choose a size and profile that would be flattering on my figure, and here I am one month later happier than I could ever have imagined. Dr. Swanson, and his staff, took amazing care of me during, and after, surgery. I could not be any happier than I am currently, and strongly encourage anyone in need of an incredible surgeon to schedule a consultation!

worst plastic surgeon ever.HE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING PERIOD!!!!his office doesn't use proper sanitation .after i got laser rejuvination on my face the nurse comes in the room and places a wash cloth on the sink, which is full of germs and then places it on my face.2 days later i go back to his office because my face is oozing blood and i'm in terrible pain and he gives me a shot for pain and then sends me home to die.SHAME SHAME!!!he put me in the intensive care for one month.i got sepsis blood poisoning and toxic shock. he should be in prison.i was in a coma for a month and code blue/ died and was revived 2 times.he wouldn't give my money back after he almost killed me and i ended up with a 300000.00 medical bill.if you do some research you will see the he has had many malpractice suits against him.i am a christian,so i will forgive him,but beware and do your research before getting anything done at his clinic.BEWARE

The dr and staff here know how to pursuade you into spending more money than you can spend elsewhere and know how to put on a show to make them look like they are they best. They completely ruined my body as I was wanting a breast augmentation for myself since my I was done having babies. Little did I know it would be the worst money ever spent. The after pictures in the book he published are 3 month pictures and the breasts aren't even completely healed. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. To have the dr fix them, I have to pay for anesthesia because the dr himself messed them up.

I can't be more than happy with my prosedure results. I'm a 29 years old Puerto Rican mom who have done 2 C-section, tube tide and appendix emergency surgery. My belly was just ugly with 4 scars and flacid skin. Trying to look better I remember attend CrossFit and cicling clases but nothing change, just loose some weight but the belly appearance still the same. For 6 years I was visiting differents plastic surgeons looking for do my tummy tuck, also I consulted surgeons in Medellin, Colombia. But no one make me fell confident or answer all my questions and concerns. Past year I move to Kansas and start looking for surgeons again... For some reason I found at Google Dr. Swanson's clinic, and I was thinking 'I just scheduled another consultation'... The day of my appointment the staff receive me very warm, doctor take the time for answering all my questions, explain to me the procedure like we gonna do the surgery that day, he do recommendation to me taking in consideration my natural curves. That same day I schedule my surgery.

I had Dr. Swanson do rhinoplasty and a breast lift with 350 cc's of silicone implants. My nose looks great. I have wanted my nose worked on for a long time. I always thought it didn't fit my face. Now I feel it does and I see myself much differently. The lift and implants are looking great. They have dropped nicely and scaring is fading quickly. He cares about his patients, their concerns, and their reviews. He is a great surgeon and person. You will not regret going with him.

I couldn't be happier with his work and everyone at his office. I will continue to use him for all of my cosmetic surgery needs. I have never felt or looked better.

I’m writing to provide a review and to warn potential patients about Dr. Swanson. In December 2011, Dr. Swanson performed a “tip” rhinoplasty and a nostril reduction surgery on me. He also performed a lower eyelid surgery, among other things. I would absolutely not recommend Dr Swanson to perform any kind of nose surgery. I would also caution anyone against having Dr. Swanson give them fat injections under their eyes. I strongly regret having him perform these two procedures on me. If you look up his license in Kansas and Missouri, you’ll find that he’s been disciplined before, more than once and for different issues. He is board-certified now, although he was not when he performed my surgeries. His staff acted as if he were board-certified, however, when I was a patient because he was a member of the American Society (not Board) of Plastic Surgeons. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about board-certification, and I did not check his license history before becoming his patient. I think Dr. Swanson messed up my nose partly because of his incompetence. I also partly think it’s because he wants to have patients come back for a “revision” surgery if they aren’t happy – at extra cost to the patients, of course. About my nose: I include before and after photos of my nose. The one “before” photo is from the day before surgery in December 2011; I was wearing purple. You can see that my nose was NOT crooked, as it is now. All the other photos are “after” photos. In some I have makeup on, and in some I just woke up and have no makeup on and look like a “grumpy cat.” While a shower and makeup can do wonders, it can’t hide a crooked nose. Since the surgery, I honestly look as if I broke my nose. In my “after” photos, I am also including my passport photo from 2017, in which I was wearing a light blue top. The most recent photo is from March of 2019, where I was wearing a peach and cream parka with a cowl neck. I have many other similar “before” and “after” photos. Dr. Swanson himself stated to me in a 2012 appointment that my right nostril was bigger than my left after surgery. However, while the right nostril is wider, that isn’t the most disfiguring issue. The most disfiguring issue is the nose tip – which is exactly what I paid the money for him to fix. As you can see, it looks like he ran out of energy. He sculpted the right side of my nose bridge pretty well and then it looks like he just said, “Oh, I’m tired. I’m done now.” He left the left part of my nose tip fuller and ‘longer’ than my right tip. Since this surgery, I actually see people looking – not at my eyes – but at my nose when we speak, because people’s eyes naturally focus on the irregularities. I’ve previously asked Dr. Swanson for a refund because of the tip rhinoplasty. I asked for a refund so that I could have another plastic surgeon fix my nose. Dr. Swanson declined to give me a refund both times I asked. Because he didn't answer my letter, I went to Dr. Swanson’s office. He again refused and actually had the audacity to say that my nose looked better after the surgery than before. I spent almost 6 years paying off a credit card bill that I incurred because of my plastic surgery by Dr. Swanson. I’m not rich. Like a lot of people that Dr. Swanson sees, I’m just trying to look a bit better to feel better about myself while trying not to be discriminated against in job interviews. Because I only have 4,000 characters, I wanted to note that Dr. Swanson offered me FREE surgery to remove fat from the sides of my breasts, which I didn’t have and which I didn’t mention. Dr. Swanson often tries to blame unhappy patients and accuse them of having a disorder, but I think a plastic surgeon who would offer free surgery for an issue a patient never mentioned is the person with the disorder. It’s very distressing to wake up every morning and look at my crooked nose. I have much to add, but space is limited. I will send the rest to the state boards and post in other venues.

I was very interested in going to this “Center for Cosmetic Surgery” after doing a little research I discovered Dr. Eric Swanson has dealt with over 20 lawsuits due to malpractice and his use of being “certified.” I contacted the American Board of Plastic Surgeons (ABPS) and Swanson is not certified with the ABPS. He in fact lost his license, and filed for bankruptcy due to the amount of lawsuits filed against him. Even two patients have passed due to his negligence. I would not recommend this doctor. Please only use ABPS Certified doctors. There are only three doctors certified, so far, in the KC Metro area.

I was extremely nervous and did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Swanson for my surgery. I have wanted a lift and augmentation for a couple of years now and finally had the courage to do it. After the first week I started to feel normal again and the pain was less and less each day. It’s now been a month and I couldn’t be happier with my results. Dr. Swanson is exceptional at what he does, I was worried with the lift that I would have terrible scaring but to my surprise the scars are almost unnoticeable! The only thing I’ve put on them is a generic Neosporin. I would recommend Dr. Swanson to anyone looking to achieve incredible results with a breast lift and/or augmentation. I went in for my consult and hired him right away to do my surgery the following week. I asked him his opinion on size for implants as my kiddos did a job on me. He gave me what I should do and I trusted it would get me the results we discussed. I told him I wanted silicone which was because they were more firm and would fill out more. I had my surgery in July of 2017 and I am still so upset over the results. When they were swollen they were magical, then they became so soft and feel like saline that isn't full all the way. so upsetting to say the least. These had been a dream of mine forever and now they are just these mushy things and you cant even feel silicone or anything. On top of this, I had surgery at 2 I think and didn't go back until like 5. I sat in the room prepared for HOURS. On the plus side, his staff was excellent. I was going to not ever post a review and just hate them until I could get afford to actually get them full like I paid for the FIRST time but it is a constant struggle. I don't even want to wear a swim suit because they are just mush. You can just grab skin and lots off it off of them.

I have been considering an arm lift for quite some time. At one point in my life I was heavy into bodybuilding. I weighed 40 lbs more than I do now and my biceps were 14inches around. Dr. Swanson did lipo on my arms 10 yrs ago which was nice, but I still had loose skin. I love my arms and did not want ugly scars on them. I did a lot of research and knew where I wanted the scar placed. While consulting with Dr. Swanson he really listened to what I wanted. He is very professional, personable and his knowledge is on the cutting edge. He assured me my wants were totally achievable. I'm so happy with my results. I didnt had any complications. The scars are well hidden and my arms are BEAUTIFUL! So glad I did it. So glad I chose Dr. Swanson.

I have consulted many plastic surgeons about this condition that was eating at my sanity and all felt pushy about getting the surgery done with them, as if they were salesman.Only here was I treated with respect and wasent pushed to get the surgery. I had rhinoplasty and septoplasty surgeries simultaneously, about a year ago. I had a deviated septum, high bridge, blocked nasal cavities, mole, enlarged turbinate and severely crooked nose. Because of all of the issues I listed, I had to have a follow up surgery. Eric listened to my concerns during the first post op appointments and genuinely cared about my results. While it was a little disappointing to have to back for 'round 2', I'm also a realist. My nose was JACKED UP! The entire office treated me with upmost care. I spent a lot of money and I can say that I am honestly pleased with the results! I can breath and my nose is straight! Dr. Swanson is a man of integrity and is devoted to his work. Thank you again.
