I've worked with Dr. Koo on various improvements over a long period of time. Most recently she performed a breast reduction that has been just liberating. The new girls are adorable and I no longer have arms falling asleep at night resulting in constant tossing and turning (and a lousy night's sleep!) My balance is improved. My neck and back have stopped hurting. I feel 25 years younger. As always she assessed things, heard what I had to say, and came up with an aesthetically as well as health improving outcome. I'm delighted.

I had decided I wanted my nipples to be higher than my navel. Dr. Koo was very efficient in 'downsizing' my 44EE to a 42C. Pre-surgery, I was very fearful about procedure but, was totally reassured that the breast reduction would be a life transforming change for me. So... with My positive outlook, creative Surgeon and Joann to answer my numerous calls=We are all responsible for the 'New Me'. No back aches, I can actually go bra less. My post surgery healing at times have been difficult. I feel that my positive outlook on life have enabled me to not only be transformed into a new person physically but also mentally. I am glad that I have celebrated my 1st anniversary with my new nipples seeing all of Florida and not just the beach.

Remembering last year at this time it is hard to believe I am the same person. I was feeling 'Mommed out'. Kids, sports, husband, job. I felt and looked the part. Today, I look back on that and say 'Never Again'! I some how had lost myself, my identity and my desire to take care of myself. Dr. Koo said that I had to try on my own and she would help but that this was not a fix all. With diet, exercise and getting rid of the mom belly, I feel great. For years I thought about doing something with my Double H breast...not only were they very large and uncomfortable but also the center of attention! There was so much I couldn't do and honestly they made me want to hide inside of myself at times...I have always believed in being happy with what God gave you but these double H's were a bit too much of a good thing! I wanted to feel better, look better and not keep putting myself second. I guess after my children and some slow but steady weight gain I decided to get fit. I got back to my pre pregnancy weight after about a year. About 15lbs out from my desired weight I really noticed my loose skin. The skin on my abdomen looked worse than I thought it would with the weight loss. I was glad I lost the weight but decided I needed to get rid of the skin. I had to tuck my skin into my jeans when I put them on. I knew I needed a 'tummy tuck'. The recovery was rough for the first few days. After surgery, Dr. Koo took of my wrap and I was pleased. After 3 weeks the swelling was really starting to come down and it looked really great. I continued to see progress and am so very very happy without my flabby belly. Well worth the time, money and healing time. I am no longer self conscious of my body and enjoy shopping and going out. Thanks Dr. Koo for your patience and talent.

Feeling tired and looking more than tired I finally decided to start taking better care of myself. Dr. Koo reviewed my habits from nutrition, exercise, general health and over appearance. Overall appearance covered, everything people see. Everything people see included skin, hair, make up nails. Feel like I received advice from a friend. I had a scar revision after my c section. Actually, I had a tummy tuck and Dr. Koo took out my old scar. I think all the expense and time was totally worth it. Dr. Koo said she would take off the extra skin and tighten the muscles. I am wearing clothes I have not worn in 5 years.

I have only had a couple of office visits with Dr. Koo. I am writing this to let people know that Dr. Koo will help you. Dr. Koo and I are working on a goal to help me be able to have the procedure I want. When I met Dr. Koo she told me that I would be better off to wait and have my procedure after I lost weight. I felt horrible that she could not help me. Dr. Koo offered guidance and help to get me started with the process. She had me come back 6 weeks after I first met her to check on my progress. I am closer every day to getting my surgery and I appreciate the honesty and time she spent with me. I am glad she was honest. When I have my surgery it will definitely be with Dr. Koo.

I called the office and got a very unexpected cold shoulder. I asked the person who answered the phone if Dr. Koo performs Botox treatment for trigeminal neuralgia. She sad yes. I inquired if I could speak with Dr. Koo or if they could ask Dr. Koo on my behalf regarding a request for someone with knowledge of Botox treatment of trigeminal neuralgia to speak for half an hour at one of our support group meetings of the Facial Pain Association. Her reply was that Dr. Koo is busy with clinic, so she could not speak to our group. I asked if it was possible there might be a time in the future she would not be so busy or would she never be interested in speaking to our group - she replied that it's something Dr. Koo would never do. End of discussion. Not even sorry, or I'll check with Dr. Koo and get back with you. We've been fortunate that there have been many doctors in the St. Louis area who have at least considered our request or actually were able to come and speak about important new treatments that might provide hope for those who are suffering badly with trigeminal neuralgia. This office's response was most unfortunate. 5-2-18 update to my original post after seeing the response from Dr. Koo's office. I was given Dr. Koo's contact info from someone who claimed that Dr. Koo had treated patients with Botox for trigeminal neuralgia. When I called, if someone would have communicated that Dr. Koo's primary specialty is plastic surgery, I would have understood. So I am changing my rating from 1 to 3 for the helpful explanation now.

I wanted a breast enlargement but didnt want to be too big. I had been to a couple of male surgeons and felt uneasy about the size they wanted to make me. Dr. Koo saw me and then wanted me to come back with photographs of 'The look I wanted'. I felt much more comfortable showing her photos of what I thought was appropriate for me than picking a size B C D that I couldnt envision. After showing Dr. Koo the photos I liked she made the calculation with me and we chose a size range. I felt much more comfortable. I am a Large B Small C. I wanted to be as full as I was when I was pregnant but not at all huge. People would never know I had this dont because I always wore a heavily padded bra. I can feel comfortable but not overwhelming in my bathing suit. I have teenage children and didnt want them to be 'stunned' when they saw me at the lake. It looks very natural and just slightly filled in.

I have been so pleased with my results. I came wanting to start on Dr. Koo's skin care, Botox and filler for my mouth lines. Dr. Koo recommended we start on the skin care and do the Botox for my creases in between my eyebrows. She explained to me that a slow and steady gradual change will be nice for me and not overly obvious. I was very nervous about getting the filler in my lines next to the sides of my mouth. The Dr. was very nice HOWEVER I am giving 2 stars for the following reasons: First of all a Dr. That is going to charge DOUBLE what all other surgeons charge should never tell you the choice in size and type of implant is not yours but will be determined by her during surgery. Even if you tell her an appropriate range of CC's you are interested in, she will tell you, "you don't take your car to the shop and tell them exactly what you want, you let them tell you what you need" actually WRONG! You go to a shop knowing what you want. Second: when you have invested 10 years into research before making the final decision to move forward, what Dr. Or staff has the right to tell you that you aren't ready until you wait a couple more months and look at magazines with girls in it.... First of all if you have spent 10 years planning this, you not only know EXACTLY what you want but you do not need to stare at a bunch of "perfect women" and most certainly don't like the assumption that i have a male chauvinist husband and say he needs to look at many women's breasts to decide what he likes.... My amazing husband would NEVER do that, i am all he wants period! 3rd: when you call ahead to find out if the office can accommodate the dates you need to schedule your surgery (and they say they can do that) and you have the money in hand to pay in full (based on what they told you would be the max price charged, which i was told $9500 would be the max for a breast aug with no lift) then once they are paid, the paper comes back over 10 Grand its pretty pathetic to lie to a customer like that. I never would have gone to that Dr. Had they been honest. Then the lady was so rude to me, acting like she was better than me and i was undeserving to be in her presents, then yelling at me telling me i wrote things down wrong EVEN THOUGH I HAD HER REPEAT IT FOR ME TO WRITE DOWN WHEN I WAS MAKING CALLS TRYING TO FIND THE FACILITY I WANTED TO MAKE A CONSULTATION WITH! They refunded my consultation fee because the lady was so out of line and she knew it! My husband actually stood up and told her we are done here and we left. So if you want to go to a place that gives you barely any control over the size or type of implant you are getting, speaks to you as though you are beneath their class, lies to get you in and pay their consultation fee, and charges WAY more than anyone else then sure, this place is for you! I went to another surgeon same day, filling a cancellation in their schedule, also a board certified surgeon, did my consultation, made me very comfortable, never made me feel like i was unworthy of their services, and their price for all the EXACT SAME THINGS was $7800 and they are now paid in full and my surgery is scheduled for one month out WHEN I NEEDED IT DONE SO I WOULD HAVE HELP AT HOME AFTER! So hope the staffs "better than me" attitude was worth the 10 grand they were going to charge but will not get from me! Never would i ever recommend this place to anyone!

Overall I was very happy with Dr. Koo. I found her warm, helpful and she did a great job with my surgery. I am 100000% more comfortable in my body and can actually breathe better without all the bulk on my chest. She said that all her patients tell her afterwards that they should have done it sooner--and she is right. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Unlike the angry reviewer who accused her of telling patients what size they need to be, I found that by asking me several questions each time we spoke, Dr. Koo was able to help me decide the size that would best match what my goals were. Not only did she help me decide, she asked good questions about what concerns I had and addressed them. It's a big decision so even if you have thought about it a long time, it's still important to get feedback from your doctor. Also, regarding the magazines, those were recommended only to get perspective of shape/size desired. I did not have this process for 'cosmetic' reasons so this part didn't seem necessary for my goals however I still understood her reasoning. I didn't give 5 stars for a couple of reasons. One, after spending over $8000 out of pocket (and worth every penny,) I wish the scar cream would have been either included in the total cost, or added to the initial cost as an option. It wasn't a good surprise to have it recommended at my follow up, only to be told it was $100 that I wasn't planning to spend. I didn't really want to spend that much on it but it was too awkward to say no. I'm healing beautifully though. Another reason is that Joanne is obviously very knowledgeable but the downside with knowing things so well is we can forget that what is second nature to us is totally foreign to a patient. It felt like she assumed I knew things that I didn't and she could have shown more patience when I asked questions. What would have been awesome is if they had given a post op timeline of what to expect and when we could do certain things (such as bathing, regular bra, exercise etc.) I had to call in to ask a few things and I felt like I was a bother when I did. Lastly, my husband was upset because of how he was treated when he called to ask a question. I commend Dr. K for not over-prescribing pain meds and felt that what she prescribed was perfect. However, when the pain pills ran out, my husband called to ask advice on what I could take over the counter (ie: ibuprofen) because 2 days after surgery, I was still uncomfortable. Joanne, in a very curt tone, told him I would not be getting more vicadin. He hadn't asked for vicodin, he wanted to see what else was recommended after that. He didn't appreciate the obvious insinuation that we were trying to get more opiates. I understand there is an epidemic out there but not everyone is med seeking. It's important to listen to questions before jumping to conclusions. That being said, I'd absolutely recommend Dr. Koo if you are considering this process.

Dr. Koo has introduced her own line of products for the skin that are tweaked to do what they are supposed to do for my tortured Midwestern skin. My skin hasn't felt this great since I stayed in Ireland from which my ancestors emerged a couple generations back. The Creamy Cleanser produces a feeling of skin well-being and then the Q Calming Lotion makes it smiling and happy! This stuff is my portable Ireland.

I had a negative experience here and I told my soon to be husband about it, and he suggested I shared my experience with an honest review. I did a lot of research prior to my consultation. I take it seriously and I want to know that I am getting the best care. I felt good about Dr. Koo. She’s experienced, and with that, she’s quite expensive (nearly double most others). She was much nicer and optimistic the first time I met her compared to the second. The second time, it seemed she was tired or just not having the best day. I tried to overlook it because I wanted to go to her. I didn’t mind a higher price point in exchange for quality. They called me a few hours before my scheduled appointment, of which I had been booked out a month in advance. I have a strict work schedule but they didn’t take that into consideration, they told me they needed me to come in an hour earlier and gave me no other option other than to cancel. It was important, and I had already been waiting over a month, so luckily my work let me leave earlier than I had asked for. I have now taken two days off of work to go in to see her. I got ‘before’ pictures of my breasts taken at the beginning of the apt so that I could go over them with the Doctor. When she was looking at me in person she said “see look how much your body has changed since these pictures were taken”.... 10 minutes ago? When I told her I had just taken them she was embarrassed. It seemed she was getting annoyed with me having questions. Of course I have questions. Of course I want to know exactly what we would be doing to MY body. The measurements she gave me weren’t even the same as the first time we had met, and I had to pull out my first quote to show her that. Apparently the measurements she gave me the first time wouldn’t really be an option. (?) The doctor would tell me one thing, like price for instance, and then the staff would tell me another. But instead of checking or even asking, they assume the customer is wrong and disregard what you say. This happened at my first appointment, of which I shrugged off. When I went to apt 2, it happened again. The dr told me I could do a Thursday surgery since she didn’t do Fridays, and right after she leaves the room her staff comes in and tells me only Tuesdays. No matter if I’m booking next month or 6 months from now. Isn’t that the surgeons schedule? Shouldn’t they talk about that? Any time I would ask Dr. Koo about pricing, her response would be “I don’t have anything to do with that.” Pretty sure you have everything to do with your own costs, but maybe not the facility charges. To summarize, the way they make you feel as a client is unsettling. I went in with hope and excitement to be going to someone with a high level of skill and experience, only to leave feeling extremely disappointed.

I have been wanting breast enlargement for several years. I knew I wanted to come to Doctor Koo. She helped me to understand the procedure, its risks and benefits. She met with me a couple of times before the surgery. I never felt pressured to have the procedure. Glad I came to Dr. Koo.

My experience with Dr. Koo and her staff has been fantastic. Not only did Dr. Koo satisfy my original request but she also made recommendations for some skin issues without having to start over with paying for additional office visits. This kind of service will keep me and others coming back! My motivation for my breast augmentation was to improve the look of my breast w-o having to rely on the need for padded bras. After having children and losing weight they were not attractive. I guess the only con was why did I wait so long.

Needed the surgery. Had the surgery. Glad I did. My insurance did not cover the breast reduction but I am glad I had it done. Best money I ever spent.

I am thrilled with my results. I feel so good and love the way they look. I dont think anyone can tell but I can. I just needed to fill out my bra again and not look like I had no breast after breast feeding and babies. Looks awesome.

After spending a fortune on my teeth to have them straightened and whitened I realized it was really my face now that needed work. My teeth were beautiful but my skin look dull and wrinkled. I had quit smoking which helped but I really need a laser treatment. Dr. Koo started me on her skin care program and I could really see a difference. I may do a peel at some point next year but feel it looks so much better without a huge outlay of money and downtime. I never really thought it would work as well as it did and people are commenting on how good it looks.
