2017--I just turned 68 yrs old. In July I had Dr. Martin perform a facelift and along with it some other corrections. I had a bump on my nose removed and Dr. Martin made my nose better proportioned for my face. He also did an eye lift and while I was 'out' he did a pixalated laser over my face, chest, shoulders, neck, and that removed a lot of ugly moles and skin tags. I didn't know Dr. Martin or any of his staff before, I live about an hour and half away from Mobile. First I checked to be sure he was Board Certified. My dad was a doctor and he drilled it into our heads how important that is. I made a consultation appointment which went great and while there I looked at several big binders with what seemed like hundreds of before/after photos of previous patients. Everyone looked great and no one looked 'operated on" . My surgery was in mid-July and the photos I am posting today are abut 8 weeks post-op. But after about 3 weeks I looked OK enough to run errands, etc . I am thrilled with the result and would definitely go back to Dr. Martin and I highly recommend him and his delightful staff. I am posting one before photo, a selfie. My neck was sagging badly, wrinkles everywhere, jowls, bump on a big nose....and posting 2 after photos. I've been to other plastic surgeons where I lived, but the doctors themselves were not professional at all. This is one of my most favorite places to visit and I would highly recommend The Martin Center to anyone. I have been a patient of Dr Martin for many years. Whether I was there for a medical biospy or cosmetic procedure, he and his staff were very courteous, professional and treated me like a queen. They are also very timely which I really apprecaite. It takes much more than skill to be a successful plastic surgeon - it takes an artistic eye to understand what and how much to do to a person in order to enhance their features and give them a wonderful outcome. Dr Martin has this artistic ability! He also has such a gentle manner about him that will put you at ease from the first moment you meet him. He takes the time to explain what he recommends, why he recommends it and what you should expect from a product or procedure. With so many different products on the market today, the choices can get overwhelming. But Dr Martin and his staff are very knowledgeable about the products they carry and can help guide you in the right direction so that your end result is much more than you ever could have hoped to achieve.

I had a WORK IN appointment today at 3:15 that I made this morning while in Fairhope for a quick Dysport treatment. I live 100 miles from the Martin Center. I arrived at the office with my 18 month old daughter where I was informed that children aren’t allowed in treatment rooms. However, just weeks ago she went back with my mother and I while she had a laser treatment done. So how was I to know?? She rudely said her manager said she would watched “this one time but not again”. Needless to say I would not leave my precious child for her to watch. Especially with THAT attitude. Then after I left they had the audacity to call and tell me they needed to “inform me that they usually charge a $25 no show but they would give me a freebie this time but it’s a warning for if it happens again”. What was I supposed to do? Leave my child in the car?? I asked her that and she just smarted off that it’s her job to inform me. Needless to say, my mother and I will both find another dr to give our THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to. I will NOT tolerate that ever ever ever again. $25 for something that isn’t my fault? Maybe they should inform Mother’s of such stupid policies and stick to them on all days so there is no misunderstanding. And by all means clean up the attitude in that office because it is deplorable.

The main issue is the staff. I was there for botox recently. The main administrator who handles the finances was extremely rude. Ive gone several times and just tired of their moodiness. So, will be going elsewhere. I do not recommend this center.

THE most "RED TAPE" and "POLICY" concerned office. In other words, they will make NO special concessions for you. Lets say you get the flu and need to reschedule. That will be $25 fee that must be paid in advance before next appointment. Who cares if you have a dr's note. I lived with that, even though that is the only plastic surgeon I've seen have such a policy in place. Whatever. I just asked if they could put a check in one day later. ONE DAY. They lost $700 bc they said "We can't do that." ONE day. It was for my fortieth birthday party. Who cares. ALL checks must go in at the same time. REALLY? Is that worth thousands of dollars to make a one time concession. It's kindergarten there everything is: "If we have to do it for you, then everyone." How old are we? They also lose all my referrals and my friend was considering surgery worth $4k. And assuredly they thousands from me. And I know SO many people in Mobile and I fly the wealthy, even out of Mobile, and had plenty of money to spend there. SO foolish! The women are just caught up in their own small minded bureaucracy. The dr's should have meetings and just set them straight. Ultimately, with any business "The customer is always right" is what gets lots of referrals and keeps people coming back, and makes that business money and keeps it going. People that are good to their customers and make them feel special will always win and the others worried about meaningless things like power and policy will always lose. Honestly, we can all get botox lots of places, and fillers etc..I liked Dr Barber and for my loyalty he should have intervened and said "hey, this once, let it slide, just once, she's a good, repeat customer and it's her Birthday." There's a lot wrong when people forget being human and acting more like robots. Oh well, they lose. They lost a lot. And I will tell all the people I know to NOT go there. Go where people are sweet and more human!!

The Martin Center works miracles! I went there for the laser tattoo removal and after a few sessions, you can't even tell that I had a tattoo! (It was VERY dark when I began treatments.) Although getting a tattoo removed is usually uncomfortable, the Martin Center made the experience as easy and painless as possible! If I could give more than five stars for my experience, I would! I would recommend the laser removal treatment to anyone and everyone!!

For years I had droopy upper eyelids which drove me crazy! I looked for a local surgeon here in Mobile and knew right off this was the doc I needed. What really made me feel comfortable about Dr. Martin was the fact he had years of experience in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and that he is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery .....hands down he's the best! The Martin Center is phenomenal!!! I have been a loyal fan of this man and his staff since 1994, when his practice was at Dauphin West EENT. The skin care products are outstanding and truly make a difference in the texture and appearance of your skin. In the 90's I utilized the products to treat acne and underwent several glycolic peels. Now, however, as father time marches across my face, I utilize the products to slow the sands in the hourglass - so to speak. The staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel as though you are family. They not only share with you their personal experiences regarding procedures, but offer advice and support. Now, let's discuss Dr. Martin. This is honestly one of the funniest, kindest men. Many surgeons, especially those proficient in their practice, take on somewhat of a God complex and have the bedside manner of what you would expect to get if you crossbred Hitler and Dr. House. This is not the case here. Dr. Martin never makes you feel "less than," and takes the time to not only get to know you, but to see you as an actual human being, with hopes and of course fears. He puts you at ease and has the skill of Michelangelo. Having seen his work firsthand, I would recommend no other surgeon in this area when it comes to facial aesthetics. If you are even remotely considering a treatment, stop by the Martin Center and schedule a consultation, or attend one of the free seminars, which are not only informative, but fun! I recently attended one on the new laser treatments, which encompassed skin resurfacing to improve texture for acne scarring or wrinkles and the use of the laser for hair removal. Can you imagine never having to shave your legs again!!!! As you can tell, I could go on and on singing the praises of this facility, the staff and of course Dr. Martin, but do yourself a favor and go see for yourself. You won't regret it!

I love Dr. Martin. Every visit with him has been nothing but welcoming. The issue is his staff. He has some of the most rudest staff there is. And Lacey comes off as racist. I will not be removing or deleting my comment when this is my honest opinion and view. I have several friends who are complaining about how rude the staff is too. One thing about a racist they can't hide their hate. And the hate that Lacey has for blacks are undeniable!He needs to fire her ASAP before she runs all of his black customers off. If you're looking for good customer service with a great staff try Dr. Carpenter at The laser and skin center where Mobile Infirmary is located. He has the best chemical peels and botox treatments in the city. Also their hair removal really works at the laser and skin.Dont spend your money where you get treated less than human.

First let me say the fillers as the doctor was injecting it hurt way more then I thought. its been about three weeks since i had them done and I can hardly see an improvement especially under my eyes, what a waste of $1500.

I went in for the cool sculpting for my stomach and sides. When I returned for my follow up, photo's where taken and then compared with my original photo's. You could see NO improvement. The nurse kept saying, "I can see a little shadowing in this area". NO, absolutely no change. I was then told it sometimes takes longer to see the results. I was scheduled to come back again for a follow up visit. Again NO improvement. I was then told by the nurse that she would have someone call me about my results. I never received a phone call. Two weeks later I called the office and was told there was nothing they could do. Not everyone receives results and my weight had changed from my first visit. If I wanted to loose some weight and then come back in for them to re-evaluate I could do that. My weight had changed by 5 pounds and they were told at the beginning that I had just been on a cleanse and had lost weight. I was told that would not change the great results I would see, that this was not a weight lose program but a fat removal. My advise - don't waste your time or hard earned money. It does NOT work.

I absolutely love The Martin Center. They have the most caring group of women including Dr. Martin. Several years ago I was in a car wreck and suffered significant facial scaring and I had a broke nose, damage to my chin and jaw. Dr. Martin minimized my scaring with lazer treatments and repaired my nose and chin with rhinoplasty. Results are not instantaneously, the healing takes time and patience, but in the end it’s worth it. So go see my friends at The Martin Center, the new you is just a consultation away.
