The worst experience ever with a dental practice! Waited 2 1/2 hours just to have a cleaning and consult and they still didn’t provide the initial service I needed..... oh and watch out for the $30 cancer screening scam! FYI! (They wear special glasses for that...) lol! **** UPDATE **** - Went in this morning to get my X-rays - expecting at least 30 minutes due to experience yesterday and they didn’t disappoint... as I waited I watch 2 patients walk out. BEWARE cannot be emphasized enough. I went to Aspen Dental a few days ago for ONE painful tooth that needs treatment. By the time my FREE EXAM and X-rays were done, I was told I needed $6,400 of treatment to save and preserve my teeth and bones. I was told I was in the beginning stages of periodontal disease and needed deep cleaning and therapy every 3 months to preserve my teeth, gums and bones. I have no symptoms of any periodontal disease. None. After reasearching Aspen Dental, this is common for everyone they see to need this invasive and dangerous procedure that is not recommended unless there is advanced gum infection and disease. Now to the clincher: While talking to me about DISCOUNT programs, they started applying me online for what I thought was pre-approval into a discount plan. THANKFULLY, I did not complete the last part of the process because I wanted to THINK about everything I was told and talk everything over with my husband before committing to treatments that I was not sure I really needed. After returning home and reading over the paperwork as well as reading about Aspen Dental, I realize now WAY more than I did while in office. The team at Aspen Dental was applying me for a high interest credit card that would have instantly paid the full treatment cost to Aspen Dental BEFORE and of the procedures were done, leaving me with debt and interest beginning at that very moment the application was approved. PBS even has a special program on Frontline about Aspen Dental and others who up-sell treatment to unsuspecting patients who are already in tight financial situations and cannot afford to see a regular dentist for treatments that are advertised as heavily discounted on the Aspen Dental website. The deceit was sugar coated by staff who were very polite and pleasant and flattering. Research Aspen Dental and be informed before subjecting yourself to their scams. They have QUOTAS to meet and get bonuses for the treatments they get patients to agree to. This is not true dental care. It is a business platform preying on and scamming low income people with dental issues into unnecessary dental procedures and financial bondage under the guise of providing dental work, including dentures which were previously unreachable financially.

I enjoyed the friendly staff and the dentist that gave me professional advice about my next step for my care. I didn’t have the right dental insurance when I came but I called back to give the one who handles the information the next day. My dental appointment was February 23, 2019 and I called back on Thursday the next day with my correct insurance information and was told someone would be calling me back on Friday after 4:00pm. Today is the 31st and I still have not received a call. Not happy with how they handled me as a potential new patient!

My husband played over $4000.00 for teeth that hurt all the time, several adjustments done & there still not right. They have hurt his mouth everytime but don't seem to care. You never get in at appointment time, plan on spending 3hrs at least.

Great place and great people. They go out of the way to make sure you are taken care of. Same day service..UPDATE:: Say Least I thought. Having big time problems with my immediate dentures can't hardly eat and gagging all the time. They r telling me that I have to weight for over a month to be seen. I sorry but I didn't have problem before I payed for them. Heck, they got me in in a matter of days and sometimes hours. Here it is the holidays and and I cant hardly eat and going around gaging. Who wonts to be like that during this time.. If they could get me in before they sure as heck could work me in now. I know they could work me in so I would not be so miserable during the holidays.I have even past by there and not hardly any cars be in the parking lot. Go figure!

My first visit there was a power failure. There was no emergency generator so I had to reschedule. I was told I needed a crown on a tooth that wasn't even bothering me. The crown came back clearly defective but got put in anyway. Then I had to come back and suffer sawing that off for a new one. All my work was financed, yet I keep getting urgent past due bill from Aspen. I called and three days later, no response. So I called back and later that day it was so called resolved. Then in a few weeks, another urgent bill I DO NOT owe. The staff was all friendly enough, but people dropped things on the floor at least 5 times, including my crown.i need my hygene, but I'm afraid to go there again.

Since my first review, I felt the need to post an update. In their office and on their website they say they support a second opinion. When their dentist said my husband needed a $400 cleaning our insurance didn't cover, we went for a second opinion. The second opinion dentist said my husband didn't need that type of cleaning and it wasn't even a close call. We took a letter to Aspen stating the findings from our second opinion. The Aspen dentist told us that they stood by their findings and if we didn't want to pay for the $400 cleaning out of pocket, to seek treatment else where. So that is what we did. We have completely moved to a different dentist. I can not begin to express the disappointment of service from this particular location in Flowood Mississippi.

The experience at Aspen Dental was great. My wife and i both got upper and lower dentures. The office staff was really nice and polite. The lab tech looked at an old picture of my wife and made her dentures to to look exactly the way her teeth were in the picture. The dentist was really good and nice. I had my teeth checked by the Army, and I was told all I needed was a crown and 2 fillings by the dentist. I chose this specific dentist since it takes my insurance and was in the area. When I went she told me I needed 8 fillings and a crown!!!!!! She said some of the fillings weren’t cause of cavities it was some old ones at the top that needed to be fixed. You know what’s so funny about that?? I HAVE NEVER Had fillings on my top teeth they are all on the bottom. This dentist saw that the Army was going to pay 100% of the 3,500 dollars worth of work and she made up some stuff. Nevertheless I didn’t go back and went to another dentist and never told them what she had told me.Surprisingly that dentist told me “Mam you only need a crown and 2 fillings” which in my head I said that’s exactly what the Army dentist told me! Not 8 fillings and a crown. The hygienist was very nice when she cleaned my teeth that’s the only positive thing I can say about this dentist.

Best place to go to dentist. Tankier is so professional and caring. Place is clean. X-ray tech...cleaning lady we're all top notch. Would bring my children here and all friends. Prices are right. Discounts for peeps with no insurance. She mapped out a plan that took the pressure away and was kind and caring when did it. I would recommend this location to all that seek res responsible professional caring compassionate dental work in a clean safe environment with lots of parking.. The bathrooms were just as clean As the examination rooms. Everyone in the office is friendly and attentive. Each person you encounter from the front desk and on your way through the back office to the exam rooms will stop to greet you on your way. Each member of the team I have encountered so far is professional, thorough, considerate, and accommodating. The office is efficient and appointments are available immediately, which is convenient. I called for a minor emergency and was able to get in the very next day. The dentist also takes his time explaining the suggested course of treatment and will patiently answer all of your questions. No one is rushing you and no one is abrupt or inattentive. So far all i have had all positive experiences and I would definitely recommend this office. I could hear interactions between the staff and other regular patients and you can tell that they have a good rapport with them. It is obvious that everyone places value in establishing good relationships with the patients and in providing a comfortable environment for them.

My husband and I are very displeased with our experience yesterday. They were extremely uncaring, and seemed mostly focused on making as much money as possible. He was in need of emergency dental surgery to remove a tooth. We waited for over an hour to be seen, while he was in agony. They called him back, and after another hour and a half he came out and they had done nothing to address the immediate problem of his suffering. They had spent the entire time doing an OVERLY thorough (and painful) examination to form and extensive long term plan for every single thing that needed to be addressed. Then they sat us down to discuss financing over $6000.00 worth of dental care, (for a variety of unnecessary procedures) trying to convince us to apply for a line of credit. Then we were told that in order to have his tooth pulled, we have to wait another 3 hours, (which we did only because it was Saturday, and they were the closest ones open on Saturday). After he did finally see the dentist the only medication they prescribed him for the considerable pain of the surgical removal of a molar was Ibuprofen. The Ibuprofen is doing next to nothing for his pain today. He is bleeding heavily, and extremely sore, and we’ve received very little information regarding his recovery. We will NOT be going back to them for any future services.

PHENOMENAL!!! I am a stay at home mom, and have to bring my almost 3 year old everywhere. So imagine my worry when i have to take my impatient toddler thats getting her molars to an appointment. I didnt have to worry AT ALL. The staff made sure that i would have a stress free appointment and did everything to keep my child occupied. whether they had her walk with them to find something, or they kept her drawing, or gave her the butterflies that were hanging up front and much more. They kept conversations going with her and made her feel safe and kept her calm. They made my daughter feel so safe that she hugged each and every single one of them goodbye, and actually was sad to go. Thank you so much Aspen Dental for taking care of my first cavity ever with such ease, but for making my first dentist visit in a LONG time the most amazing and stress free one. Aspen dental was very hygenic & the staff was very friendly including the Dentist! However all of their computers were so slow I spent more time waiting on them to put my info. in the system than seeing the actual dentist, the clerical lady couldn't understand the Dentists notes, she spelled my name wrong & I had to explain over 4 times which tooth needed surgery because she couldn't read/understand the dental codes, the communication breakdown was scary!! However it was one persons lack of knowledge vs the whole team which was very knowledgeable. The XRay girl was everything she made my day!!

the worst experience I have ever had. First of all, they were late by 30 minutes because they were having a training class. I was in the office 3 hours, never got to look at the breakdown of charges or how the estimate was figured. I told the Dentist exactly what I wanted because I knew what I could afford. Never did they listen to what I wanted. The first estimate was 8500.00. I originally went in to have 5 teeth pulled on by upper mouth and to get an upper denture. I was told I couldn't have an upper plate without having the other work done. So then I asked about just pulling all my teeth and putting in a full set of dentures. That estimate came back at 4400.00. Astronomical for the average person, but wait...they will finance you through a company at 14 percent interest. This place is a joke. It is simply to make money. I feel like they falsely advertised on their web site. The only person professional in the place was the xray technician. The finance manager acted as if the estimate was a big secret!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!

You can't find a more customer driven dentist office. She explained everything multiple times and smiled throughout. Eye contact, articulate, intelligent, patient first attitude, and ggenuine. She didn't push a treatment plan but laid out what was needed in understandable detail. Young lady in billing was amazing. Put me at ease about what was going to cost a substantial amount to repair all that was needed. She put forth a positive attitude and assured me it was all my decision on the path forward. She carefully provided the details for each issue and provided me information on additional cost saving plans I could look into. A+ excellent bbusiness. Professional, friendly, and customer first .You won't be disappointed .

The incoming office staff up to the hygienist gives great customer service and understanding but the actual dentist J. Longino gave the worst bedside manner I have ever received the first time in an office. Even though the office manager brought me in the office and apologized for the dentist and begged me to return his responses to me really put a bad taste in my mouth. The only part is they are very, very, expensive even with some type of insurance your still gonna pay a good bit out of pocket. Went in to get my DoD dental exam done, was told I had good oral health and even encouraged to continue doing what I’m doing. However, by the end of the appointment after declining to have my wisdom teeth ( which I’ve had for years with no issue and previously had been cleared for deployment with on multiple occasions) removed, I walked out of there with a form that basically said I was not deployable because I’m expected to have a dental emergency in the next few months. So thanks for that and the payment plan summary that I’m clearly not interested in.

HORRIBLE MONEY HUNGRY OPERATION I wanted to have my teeth cleaned and thought I would try this fairly new office since they have locations nationwide. The ability to have a dental clinic, no matter where I traveled, appealed to me. So I signed up online , wanting a teeth cleaning, but it would only let me check "check-up". I called and they said I could only have my teeth cleaned if hygiene had a chair open when I was finished with my check-up. I thought that was odd. So, I went in to proceed with a check-up. The hygienist was very pushy with me to buy extra things ($135 tooth brush, $35 prescription toothpaste, etc). She even put a form in front of me while I was leaned back in the chair and said I needed to pay them $30 for an oral cancer screening. She was talking very fast and I felt like I was at a slimy car dealership or mechanic, who was trying to get me to replace every nut and bolt when I went in for an oil change. LITERALLY!! I have had no problems with my teeth in years. My gums do not bleed and I take care of my teeth. The hygienist told me that I have gum disease and needed to be seen every three months. The doctor came in and told me I needs a crown and two fillings and a root canal. When I wanted to discuss options, feeling that my teeth never hurt, bleed, etc. they said there were no options and this is what HAD to be done if I wanted to keep my teeth. I got ready to check out and the lady said "That'll be $3,427. Do you have your card with you?" I asked her what that total was for and she began showing me the list of procedures, none of which had been done. Also included were the high priced items the hygienist had been trying to push off on me. I told her I wasn't letting any one crown my teeth or do root canals until I got a second opinion. She looked hurt. She left and came back and said, "We do have financing available." My insurance lady was on the phone with them and the Aspen clerk was STILL trying to get me to pay cash for procedures that they never did, services I never received, and items (such as the fancy toothbrush) that I have neither asked for, nor received. I have never heard of a place trying to get a person to pay a medical bill in full for services that have not been agreed to and also without filing insurance first, even when they are holding and have made copies of my insurance cards. The whole thing seemed like just a ploy to make money. And the teeth cleaning, which was the only thing I went there for, was never done. By the way, I had a second opinion and did not have the gum disease they rang up the high bill for and I am waiting now my second opinion on the crowns and root canal. I will update this when those are received.

Dentists usually have me running for the hills. Been a few months since the procedure and haven't had any problems that needed to be followed up.

Absolutely not impressed today. They lost my records, kids and hubby waited well over an hour past appointments, kids teeth didn't even get cleaned - just got a "plan of action" for what they needed (they need a cleaning and some small cavities filled). I JUST WANTED THEIR TEETH CLEANED TODAY- that's what I made the stupid appointments for!! Apparently that's too hard to get done in 3+ hours.....will not be back. Ever. Hope you enjoy charging my insurance for a completely pointless endeavor.
