Multiple complications and eight years later, I finally have the guts to write my review. The day of my first post op appt... I cried my eyes out. My breasts appeared larger than the C cup I had wanted. Upon stating this at the appt I was told “Oh, sweetie, it’s just swelling... besides the larger size looked better with your frame.” I was minimized. Two years later, my breasts were still a DD (healed and no weight gain). I went back to pursue the removal of saline from the implants and numbness that I was experiencing from the abdominoplasty. I received a “free” consultation and then was told that if I had wanted the saline removed to a lesser amount that it would cost additional money and a trip back to the OR under general anesthesia. I was so disheartened. During this appt I also expressed that I had absolutely no feeling from my waist to just about 4 inches above my knees. I didn’t realize how big of a problem this was and how much feeling I had lost until my computer cord had sat hot on my skin for over 10 minutes without any sort of realization. I was burned and at this point, I knew my nerves had been severed. Dr. Leigh was hesitant and was not confident in my claim during our visit. I advised that if he were to use an injectable needle that I would not feel it. He said, “Huh, come see me when you’re done having kids.” I was dumbfounded that this was the response that I was receiving from someone who I entrusted my care to. This last year I was pregnant. At 17 weeks I experienced severe lower abdominal pain. Not knowing what it was, I consulted a surgeon that I work with. After an US it was determined that I had a retained item or an adhesive band of tissue. I developed an inflammatory response, which furthered into fat necrosis and a fluid filled pocket. Under local anesthetic (to avoid hurting my baby) they created an incision. A large (2 inch) ethibond suture was removed. Unable to use pain medication and with pressure from my infants growth, my incision took longer to heal and I was in pain. Like I said... 8 years later... I am sad and disappointed. My expectations for empathy, professionalism and resolution after spending thousands of dollars were so much higher than the care and results that I have experienced.

From the receptionist, nurse staff, scheduling and payment coordinators, to the doctor himself, everyone works to make you feel comfortable during a time that for most is a very personal and private experience. Post surgery there are a few areas of concern and I am looking forward to my next follow up appointment to discuss revisions. It took me over ten years to write this. I had gynecomastia surgery in my early 20s. I am now 33 and looking for another surgeon to fix the original procedure. I had breast tissue that formed behind the nipple/areola area in my early teens. After researching doctors, I thought I had found a surgeon that would perform the procedure well. The left side looked good for the most part, but the right side looked only very slightly improved. After a few months of healing, Dr. Leigh went back in under local anesthesia this time. While he was performing the procedure he stated something to the effect that there wasn’t much of anything to remove. After months and years went by, it looks the same. Extremely disappointed that I am going through this again.

I have struggled with the effects of losing a large amount of weight more than 10 years ago. I saw Dr. Leigh for Brachioplasty and had my neck area tightened up. While there, we discussed the extra skin I had on my side/under my armpit area. Getting breast implants worked wonderful to pull that skin forward and take care of the issue. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. Everyone at the clinic is wonderful...the receptionists, nurses, financial staff etc. Dr. Leigh has a very caring, genuine personality.

This is worth reading!! In 2017 I came to Dr. Leigh for a tummy tuck consultation, he was brief and straight to the point while assuring me that my tummy was going to look good. I later went for another consultation with a different famous doctor in minnesota who took so much time explaining and talking about how my stomach was going to be perfect. He also gave me a book he wrote on Tummy tuck to read. I fell for the talks and went with him, but my scar was so high, and my tummy was shaped weirdly after the surgery. Two years after I got tired of my very high and I went to meet with Dr. Leigh again for reconstructive surgery, my consultation went so brief back as in the past, but I told myself I would go with him this time and that turned out to be the best decision ever. My confidence level is now over the top, and my tummy is way flatter, my scar is very, very low that I wear my swimwears with confidence. Thank you, Dr. Leigh

I have been struggling with my weight for years. I heard about Dr. Nathan Leigh from a patient of mine. I was dreading the consultation more than the thought of surgery. I was so mortified by the way I looked that I thought I would sob the whole time in embarrassment. I do not know how he does it, but Dr. Leigh made me feel so comfortable. It probably sounds corny but the best way I can describe the experience is to compare him to a sculptor. My current state was just a starting point and he wasn't looking at me but instead what I could become. I did cry that day but only after I left. It was from sheer joy. I couldn't wait to get started. I scheduled a breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction. The worst part of the entire process was waiting for the day to arrive. Dr. Leigh reminded me that if I continued living the same way that I had in the past that I would arrive at the same destination. This encouraged me to reduce my weight as much as possible prior to the surgery. I lost 35 lbs in the 8 weeks before surgery. The entire staff was wonderful and accommodating. Surgery went according to plan and I was very comfortable during my recovery. I was prepared for it to be very painful. I had some tightening in my abdomen but that was it. My back pain disappeared overnight and my self-esteem sky-rocketed. This was the BEST thing I have EVER done in my life. I would do it over again in a heartbeat, but only if Dr. Leigh was available. Dr Leigh is the greatest. He is an absolute perfectionist,which is exactly what you want in a plastic surgeon! He has helped me transform my body after losing 50 lbs that I gained from having cancer. I had breast augmentation with Dr. Leigh two and a half years ago after losing fullness due to nursing. I was very happy with the initial results but within the first few months, my right breast dropped lower than the left, making them appear unbalanced. At two years post surgery, a revision to the pocket was needed to lift the implant and was done with local anesthesia. Dr. Leigh waved the surgeon fees and was very attentive to my needs during the procedure. I am now very happy with the results.
