Dr. Markarian is not only wonderful at what he does he has an amazing bedside manner. My son, who is almost 2, went in to the ER for stitches this past weekend and Dr. Markarian was the plastic surgeon on call. He arrived at the hospital under the time he told them he would be in and, even though my son was not the first patient he needed to see he came in right away to make sure my son, my husband, and I were doing okay. He then proceeded to explain exactly what would happen and what we should expect. He allowed us to remain in the room while he stitched our son up and through the entirety of our ER visit made sure the three of us were doing okay and on the same page. At my son's one week check up, Dr. Markarian was friendly, caring, and made sure I had no concerns and reassured me that my son was healing great! If there ever comes a time (and as a boy mom I'm sure there will) that anyone in my house needs stitches, I'll be sure to request Dr. Markarian!

Dr. markarian is the best! My 4 year old daughter cut her chin open which required subdermal stitches. Not only did he do a great job but showed the utmost consideration dealing with a child. It's been two and a half weeks now and the scar is barely visible.

Dr.Markarian is truley a gifted miracle worker. My daughter Sofia was bit in the face and her skin was severely damaged due to the bite. Dr. Markarian came in on his night off and blessed us with his gracious personality and great gift. Dealing with doctor mark was the best experience I personally could ever had for my daughter who’s two years old. He was very dedicated to provide the best service he could. We started off at Norwood hospital and he made a two and a half hour commute to give the best medical care he could so my daughter wouldn’t have any permanent damage due to her accident... Hello ...I fell of ladder and landed on a vase causing severe cuts to hand. I had the luck to have drawn Dr Markarian. He met me the following day at the er to do some work on my wound. He met me coming off his vacation and went to the hospital prior to going home from his vacation. His dedication to his profession and his patients is out matched. I arrived at Emerson hospital on a recent Friday night with a badly lacerated foot. The ER Dr decided to get a plastic surgeon to come stitch me up and very quickly Dr Markarian showed up and instantly put me at ease. I was very scared and in pain but his calming words, reassurance that I was ok, and very professional skills tremendously helped me get through a tough time. I just had my one week follow up visit to his office and again I can’t say enough good things about him. I very highly recommend Dr Markarian. My 17-year-old daughter broke her nose two weeks before prom! Dr. Markarian calmly reset it and assured her it would look fabulous again before her big night out. We were AMAZED by the result! Quite honestly, it's even lovelier than it was before it was broken... and it healed quickly and without issue. He's truly a gifted plastic surgeon!

Dr. Markarian is an extremely skilled and talented plastic surgeon. His warm personality made my entire experience pleasant and comfortable . I had no doubts or concerns about my procedure, because he had answered all my (at times annoying) questions. He did a breast reduction(a very difficult case) on my cousin which turned out amazing, so I knew he was a perfectionist even before I had my procedure . I went from an A cup to a full C/small D ( still in surgical bra / sports bra so haven't measured exact cup size. After the surgery I was in bed for 2-3 days but on the third day I was feeling great. The soreness was bearable, but I still recommend taking a few days off work. The results I had were amazing and I only wish I had done this sooner. I definitely recommend going to see Dr. Markarian for any procedures you may be interested in doing. Thank you for taking such good care of my cousin and me

I saw Dr. Markarian several times over the last year in his Newburyport office. He was very patient with many questions I had about the aesthetic procedure I came for and provided detailed answers and recommendations. He was very thorough with his explanations and suggestions, but ultimatelly made me feel that it was my decision to pick the area I wanted to treat. (I'm always very conservative when I start a new treatment). He made me feel comfortable and relaxed about the the process. Dr. Markarian did not denied my girlfriend emergency medical treatments. We had a horrible experience a tummytuck outside of the country. When we return to Boston we went to emergency at Union Hospital he was the first surgeon to show up and handle the complex case that no other Dr was equipped to do so. Dr. Markarian helped my fiance by providing care to her open wounds, burns, he ensure that she did no develop any infection. Until this day he is still our aftercare surgeon.

I can’t begin to explain the level of pessimism I had after my injury. I work at a organic deli behind the meat counter. Two months ago I got into a disagreement with our meat slicer and sliced a good portion from the top of my thumb off. In being rushed to the hospital we forgot to grab the piece of my thumb that I sliced off. Two months later Im happy to say that I have made a close to full recovery. Dr. Mark Markarian was beyond the push one needs to get through surgery. Point blank period if you have the luck of fitting into to his schedule then take the opportunity to do so.

Let’s cut to the chase, this guy is an artist. He performed a revision rhinoplasty on me because I was not satisfied with the results from my original rhinoplasty. My original rhinoplasty left my nose more bulbous and wider than before. After 11 months, my nose will still extremely bulbous. So I went to 5 different plastic surgeons and they all told me the same thing, that my nose was basically stuck like this... as if it was cemented in stone. I wasn’t satisfied with that answer, so I reached out to one more doctor and I went in for a FREE consultation (most doctors charge you for consultations) and I was absolutely blown away by Dr. Markarian. He was so sharp and had an immense knowledge on revision rhinoplasty. He told me, he could essentially told me that me that he can make my nose less bulbous and much straighter and he did exactly that. My nose looks perfect now with serious results. His staff is very pleasant as well! He charged me a fair price and he even plans removing a scar on my face for free.

Dr Mark is fantastic and I am so grateful for his care! We went to the ER when my six year old suffered a facial wound close to her eye. Dr Mark was already there for another consult and came to examine and ultimately repair her deep and complicated wound (many subdermal stitches as well as on the surface). She was terrified about the whole thing but he immediately set us both at ease. He sat next to her on the hospital gurney and explained- honestly- about what he was going to do in a very age appropriate manner. Dr Mark took his time during the repair and was careful to make sure every stitch was perfect, adjusting if needed and explaining all along. His honestly, calm and sense of humor made such a difference during this experience. I highly recommend Dr Mark. It’s refreshing to meet a doctor that not only exhibits a high level of skill but humanity too!

I broke my index finger and damaged tendons in one of my hands about 10 days ago. Dr. Mark appeared at the hospital and was a true professional. I'm a software engineer so I was quite nervous and concerned about my future. He was able to put me at ease with his knowledge, experience and warm bedside manner. Dr. Markarian was my ER DR. at Anna Jaques hospital.Guy at work cut the tip of my left ring finger in half through the nail with a chainsaw. Dr. Markarian was recommended by head Dr. on duty.He was not readily available. When he arrived his attention 2 detail,professionalism and ability 2 preform immediate surgery was exceptional. While sedated he removed damaged tissue and muscle. Resewing my finger 2gether with 35 stitches. His bed side manners are top notch even cracking jokes 2 take my mind of high degree of pain.
