I asked for a breast lift and was given a stomach sculpting surgery I never asked for that she learned the day befor in a seminar. Stay away from this Dr. Frankenstein. She had me sign the papers in the recovery room. I have spent their last 16 years basically without much of a life... No one should get to do that to another person without their consent. Stick up for yourselves... Doctor of Darkness...

I have been a patient of Dr. Schaefer's since I was a baby. I was born with a large birth mark on my back that she monitored until finally removing it a couple years later. In the 23 years to follow she has removed close to 20 different precancerous moles with the skill, ease and care that a young girl needed knowing she'd be covered in scars. I wouldn't trust anyone else with taking care of these procedures. They have all healed beautifully and I continue to check in with her on a yearly basis.

The negative one star review here shows the problems with people doing these on line reviews. they either have an ax to grind or sometimes are competitors such as restaurants knocking each other. I went to Dr. Shafer for a cyst on my face and amazingly she removed it with no visible scarring. she was very competent and pleasant and highly recommended. john

Dr. Shafer is a highly respected surgeon among peers and the general public. Now, as a patient of Dr. Shafer, I can personally attest to her expertise as a surgeon and as a genuinely compassionate provider of care. During my first appointment for a consultation, I felt that Dr. Shafer explained options and the procedure in depth. She carefully and thoroughly addressed all of my questions in a completely unhurried manner(something that can unfortunately be quite rare nowadays in the medical field). The results from my surgery far exceeded that which I thought was possible. As a result, I now have a renewed sense of positive self esteem and well being. Because the change is subtle, my friends and family who are unaware of the surgery have commented on how well I am looking.There have been no questions asked as to how this positive change in my appearance came about. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr.Shafer to others. On one final note, I must add that Dr. Shafer's medical and general office staff are extremely professional and personable.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Beverly Shafer. I had the good fortune to be referred to her by my oncological surgeon during one of the toughest times of my life. Having to navigate the events and decisions to be made leading up to a bi-lateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction is head-spinning and emotional to say the least. Dr. Shafer is a true artist who is clearly respected and admired by all the physicians and nurses that attended to me during that process, and also by the ob/gyn that delivered my children (who I have known for decades). Even more, she is a lovely and genuine human being. Dr. Shafer is calming in so many ways - from her expertise in the field to her very nature. She made me aware that I was a candidate for nipple preservation, which had not been widely done. I got through it all with no complications, healed fast, and the results are amazing. After all is done, I look so much like myself (but closer to my twenties), that most days now I don't even think about the stress and heartache of 5 years ago. I have referred friends and acquaintances to her and will continue to do so. Dr. Shafer, Leslie (PA) and staff are wonderful - professional, highly skilled, insightful, sincere, and caring.

Not a competitor, a real former patient. Had surgery 2 years ago for a ruptured implant, and a tummy tuck. Made one breast obviously larger than the other. Tightened right side of stomach more then left which now protrudes. She said my scar would be thin, white and flat by 2 years. over 2 years it's still brownish, bumpy and not flat. I still have pain around the belly button. She said she would do a scar revision for free if I still wasn't happy. called in for that appointment there was now $100.00 just to have her look at the botched scar and now denies saying she would do it for free. Do not go under the knife with this woman she is horrible. Insurance said they would pay for my procedure now and after 3 weeks she is still refusing to send in codes to insurance company so I can get my refund and go to another surgeon to fix her botched mess!!
