I arrived and the office is closed. I began to think I got scammed. I tried calling the numbers that were on the Groupon they were out to service. I found the email from my confirmation and tried calling the number no one answered. Now I'm really thinking I got scammed. Then someone called me back from the same number. Thankfully it was someone from the company telling me their employee caught traffic and was running late, it is now after my appointment time. I also drove in there was no traffic. They informed me they usually come in 30 minutes before the hour. If you are an employee who usually shows up 30 minutes before the hour and it's after the hour and you're supposedly caught in traffic on a Saturday, I'm sorry but that is a lie you were just late. It's very unprofessional. Forgetting the initial start of this this being my first time here, the facial overall was average to below average. I come from LA and have only been here a couple of years but I have found it very hard to find quality people here. To be fair the best services I have had have been in DC so I decided to go and try VA one more time. I also didn't appreciate just because I am Hispanic she started talking Spanish to me and made it seem like oh I'm sorry I'm late... like I was gonna give her a pass just because she was Hispanic also. When I go to work I show up on time when I go to a meeting I show up on time I respect other people's time and I expect the same treatment back. Especially in this political climate I feel like we should strive to be the best version of or 'hispanic' selves. Also during the appointment I kept getting asked if this was OK if that was OK I didn't necessarily like that. I'm trying to relax I'm trying to just get a facial. I expect the person to be professional and know what they're doing ask me once at the beginning of the appointment if I understand and if I have anything to say to say it later on and let them focus and concentrate. It wasn't bad at all and she was very nice, it's just that I've had better. I didn't take her up on her offer to give me this one for free because she was a little late because I won't be returning and I just wanted to give up my Groupon and move on.

I went for PRP treatments. After trying 3 times, the nurse was still not able to draw blood. So, I never had the procedure done. As a person of color, I was extremely put off that I was asked to pay in advance by his office manager, which she said was the policy. Before filing an official complaint, I was wondering if anyone else had the same treatment. Were you asked to pay in advance?

I have come to Dr. Thesiger for certain cosmetic procedures (which I will remain anonymous on haha) but I just want to say that I’ve never worked with a doctor as humble and approachable in this area. His bedside manner is A+, and I really feel like he was prioritizing safety first throughout my entire procedure. A lot of plastic surgeons are major premadonnas. If you’re looking for someone who does great work and has a great personality to match it, I highly suggest booking an appointment with Dr. Thesiger!

A few years ago my wife Rosa came here. She came here to remove belly fat. They gave her Valium and pain killers for the procedure. The Valium did not put here to sleep and she felt everything. The doctor Mr. Thesiger, decided to put her under anesthesia which is not located in his office. It is in the building. Which is more expensive. They took her to another floor, gave her anesthesia and processed with the procedure. At no more cost. She looked fabulous! 4-5 years later of poor diet and genetic weight gain, she decided to go back. This was the worst mistake she could have ever made. The price was good without the anesthesia as before. Same meds and same problems. This time I went with her. They gave her all of the pill form Valium and pain killers. She felt everything. He wanted to stop because of the discomfort. She touched it out and went through with the pain. 3 months later she has gained weight. Changed her diet and even goes to the gym 2x a week. He sends her to a lab to get blood work done for thyroid testing. Test came back with no problems. Told her he would call her soon. Asked if she drank alcohol and she said 2x a week. Two weeks later he calls.....right now! Then says you need to change your diet. That’s all he has to offer. $3500 later we have no results and no pride in work. You would think as much money as this doctor is making that he would take a little pride like he did the first time and offer something other than change your diet. Seems to me he tried the thyroid excuse and now diet just to move on to the next victim. I hope anyone reading this will have a second thought about letting this man steal your money. Like the old saying goes, You get what you pay for.

After looking for a good place for laser hair removal, I found this place on Instagram and honestly couldn't be more happy. I am in graduate school in the DC area and absolutely loved Viviane and the rest of the team. The results are amazing and the office is convenient and well maintained. I also loved meeting Dr. Thesiger - his charisma and energy is one of a kind!! Will definitely recommend this practice to others!

I have known Dr. Thesiger for over 7 years, my experiences with him have been exceptional, he is not only a great Plastic Surgeon, but he goes beyond being a fantastic caring individual that is always on top of his patients. It does not matter what country on earth you will be, he will always reply to your questions and needs promptly. I found that few Drs. are so willing to do so. I also find unique that neither his team or himself will push you to jump into any of the services provided at his office, (completely different than other practices). I am always receiving great compliments about my skin and face thanks to him. He is trustworthy without any doubt, friendly and a great professional. I discovered Dr. Thesiger on Groupon and was hesitant to schedule an appointment. After doing research on his educational background and medical experience I was impressed by his achievements. My first visit was in November and the staff was amazing with great positive energy flowing throughout the office. Everyone treated me kindly with friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. Dr. Thesiger exceeded my expectations with his respectability, compassion, and thoughtfulness in really listening to my requests. I asked several questions which he patiently answered knowledgeable and expertly. During our consultation I instantly felt a professional relationship developing and an instant flow in our communications. Once Dr. Thesiger masterfully performed my procedures I knew this is the Dr. for me. In my opinion, Dr. Thesiger is one of the top Plastic Surgeons in this region. I highly recommend him as a Plastic Surgeon who is extremely medically qualified, gifted, and accomplished as a Surgeon. Most importantly he's a wonderful individual with a kind heart and amazing spirit.

Came to Dr. Thesiger for some low definition lipo and the experirence was amazing! I have dramatic results in my lower abdomen area, and didn't even have to be put to sleep for the operation. I definitely will be coming back to him for other procedures in the future. Amazing bedside manner and incredible office team!

I am a 45-years old male and had Botox on my forehead and glabella, 30-40 units on average, for the past 8-years and never was I ever disappointed. I always go to experienced practitioners in Chevy Chase or, when in Boston, in the South End. Usually, I am charged between $300-450 and my small–to-moderate lines are more than well taken care of. When I was in DC last month I saw that the practice of Dr. Paul Thesiger, Thesiger Plastic Surgery (Board Certified), in Chevy Chase, MD had a 40-units Botox deal for $398. I reasoned that, being said practice a supposedly respected one, it would not be a shady operation, not one of those “too good to be true” deal that are often found on GroupOn or similar websites. How wrong was I! The results are highly disappointing if not a total scam; 40-units, which have always worked amazingly well, had done absolutely nothing for my glabella and forehead. I am really trying to be balanced and optimistic here but no matter how I look at it, had I given those $398 to charity I would probably look younger (and happier). I had to wait about an hour before being seen by Dr. Thesiger. This was not in any way a problem given I had plenty of time that day, and delays are bound to happen sometimes. Dr. Thesiger apologized, no big deal. When I was actually seen I had a ‘gut feeling’ things were slightly off because Dr. Thesiger did not really spend any time asking me what I wanted or any past experience with Botox, or what I could expect from the units of Botox I was going to have. Neither did he ask me to frown or tighten my glabella (the ‘11’ lines), or look at my forehead lines when about to inject as it is customary. I waited three weeks before saying anything (although in my past experience, one week to 10-days is all it takes to show good results). I was also left with a sizeable bruise on the outer side of my right eye which went away in about 10-days. In conclusion, I spent nearly $400 for nothing. Had Dr. Thesiger told me “look, the way I administer/work with Botox, 40-units for you is not going to be enough to achieve any appreciable effects” then I would have been more than happy to discuss further options. But in the way I was handled I feel I have been totally ripped off. Unfortunately, nobody is going to care and, sadly, other people will probably experience what I experienced. I thought that being ‘board certified’ would somehow be a guarantee for the public (patient) that certain ethical principles would be adhere to, and that the practitioner’s professional integrity would be assured. Mere profit should not be the sole driver or the sole outcome but, unfortunately, in this case profit is the only important driving factor. I really hope my experience will be of help to anybody who is considering having a very simple and effective procedure from a ‘reputable’ practice with a ‘highly experienced board-certified physician’.
