I have very bad experience with this doctor and I don't recommend him to anybody. He did breast reduction on me, and in comparison to other doctors, he over charged me. I accepted, because I thought the more I pay the better service I will receive. It turned out the opposite. He left some extra skins under my breasts, with nipples coming abnormally higher than their normal location. when I went for touch up, he gave me two prices, one if I wanted to fix only one breast, another price if I wanted to fix both sides. It seems to me, he has no ethical responsibility for his job, all he cares about is money. Besides, on his wrecked office, he doesn't even have a nurse, He has only one secretary who does everything and if the secretary is on the phone, the doctor himself does the nurse's job.

Dr. Marefat is highly recommended for his profesioanlism and great work. He performed a procedure( lipo) on my upper thighs below buttock area on the sides and medial sides of my knees about 10 years ago and the results are significantly amazing and well satisfying( even now after so long) . This is the same Dr Marefat who also operates a location out of Arlington VA on Fairfax Drive. Dr Marefat breached a contract i entered with him. Not only did he not provide the service he was contractually obligated to, he did extensive damage to my face in the process. One would refer to this as negligence. Dr Marefat clearly offered a misrepresentation of what his ability and skill was and his intent misguided. A Dr is required to subordinate his financial interest below the welfare of the patient.I think it would be wise if the Dr reviewed the ethics rules as stipulated in the Medical Board of VA Code of Conduct. He is expected to abide this, howeve, in my case, i do not think he did. Dr Marefat does a nice job with fillers but dont buy the fat grafting hard sell (it doesnt last and you will be bruised for weeks!). I find it very interesting many of his 5* reviews have private profiles.

I've gone to Dr.Marefat for C02 fractional laser for acne scarring once and laser hair removal about 5 times (I'm persian so don't judge). My experiences at his office have been positive. Since the C02, my acne scarring is much less than it was before. I went on accutance briefly about two years prior and had waited a long time to do any sort of scar revision. There were multiple options for alleviating the scarring but Dr.Marefat suggested CO2 for me. The recovery was speedier than I thought and within 5 days I was able to wear make up and go out in public. I was told I would really be able to tell the difference in about a month but the results were basically immediate. I noticed a difference immediately and then it just continued to improve. Six months later and I barely use foundation now. When I do use foundation I feel like my make-up goes on much more smoothly and evenly. In terms of laser hair removal- Roya treated multiple parts of my body (Again I'm Persian haha.) The most significant decrease is both my underarms and my bikini area. The results are really noticeable where the hair is the thickest. Being that the hair is thinner and lighter on my legs and my arms it takes at least two or three sessions to notice any kind of results, but my hair there is definitely less than it was before. Through all these procedures, Dr.Marefat and his staff has always been great to me.

I went to Dr. Marefat for assistance after an ER visit for a finger injury (I severely cut the tip on a mandolin). The appointments were quick and thorough and he was helpful in proper care for the injury. Having a copay for the removal of stitches was a disappointment, but the care was fine.

He answered all of my questions concerning the procedure and he made me feel comfortable. He also made sure that I was doing alright after the procedure and at my post op appointments.
