I was so Bless to have Dr. Stanwix to do plastic surgery on my knee. I had a knee replacement that went very bad. Dr. Stanwix went in my knee to do a wash out and noticed infection in my knee. He changed my Orthopedic Doctor and basically help save my leg. After seven operations Dr. Stanwix reconstructed my knee back to looking normal. I've never had a Doctor with such superb bedside manner and his knowledge of his profession is amazing. Dr.Stanwix is a gift from God and I would like to say to him Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My name is Elizabeth. Back around October of 2018 I made the decision to have breast augmentation. My breast size at that time was a 34A. For myself, with my athletic frame and height, I wanted something bigger and more proportional to my body. I talked with my some friends and compiled a list of cosmetic surgeons that they'd had positive results with. Over a period of a few weeks, I had spoken with several surgeons in person to find someone who made me feel comfortable. The first few that I talked to seemed to just be giving me a presentation, repeated many times over the years. I felt that they were qualified, but it wasn't a personalized experience. That changed with Dr. Stanwix. When he and the nurse walked into the consultation room, I sensed immediately that he was fully present and focused on this meeting. He was talking *with* me rather than just *to* me. It was a real interaction and not just a presentation, and I felt immediately at ease. He asked me what expectations I had, and showed me several options without pushing me into any one choice. He listened to the unique needs of my active lifestyle and helped me choose implants that were aesthetically beautiful and suitable for my daily routine. I had one particular special requirement that was a little different from most women, but he was willing to accommodate that for me. With Dr Stanwix's help, I chose 520CC Natrelle Inspira Cohesive implants, and they are perfect. I had the implants in November 2018, and four months since the surgery, I've had no complications. My breasts are a beautiful 34DD, soft, supple and attention-getting when I want them to be, yet easy enough to tone down with loose fitting clothing for a more professional look. DIEP flap reconstruction after double mastectomy: The first plastic surgeon I consulted before my mastectomy said, "Since you've had radiation, you're going to have to have a DIEP flap reconstruction. There are a lot of physicians who do them, but the only one I'd trust is Matthew Stanwix." Dr. Stanwix was so kind and confident. He gave me information about all kinds of reconstruction, then showed me what might happen since I'd had radiation...not pretty. He explained how DIEP flap worked, smiled and said, "Just think of it as getting breast reconstruction and a tummy tuck". He was so attentive and thorough...even making sure that the doctor who did the mastectomy did it to his specifications. If I ever...ever need reconstructive surgery again, I'll not consider anyone but Dr. Stanwix.

I had en bloc breast implant removal with Dr. Stanwix in Oct. of 2018. My experience was great from beginning to end. First, he absolutely makes you feel comfortable about any and all questions you may have. My recovery time was just over 2 weeks and I was back to work as a massage therapist. I am from Fredericksburg. I heard about Dr. Stanwix through a friend. I had breast cancer 1 year ago with implants done by a plastic surgeon in my town. Both implants went bad so I consulted with Dr. Stanwix. He is the BEST PLASTIC SURGEON EVER!!!!! He was so caring and wiling to do whatever made me feel better. I had a bad experience with tubes in the past, he was kind enough to numb the site before pulling them out. Not too many doctors go above and beyond like Dr. Stanwix. Without going into detail, he took great care of me, as well as his scheduling coordinator, Debbie! I highly recommend him for any type of surgery, especially the new DIEP Procedure----read about it!

After literal years of research trying to find the right surgeon for my chest reconstruction surgery, I'm very happy I found Dr. Stanwix. I went to him on the recommendation of a friend, and I found him to be kind and caring, always willing to explain and go over anything that concerned not just me but also my family who would be caring for me after surgery. Even my mother, a long-time worrier, felt at ease with the procedure and with Dr. Stanwix. I had a small issue after surgery where the knot for the stitches irritated my skin, and he was available to see me on short notice just because I was worried about it. This is my first bad review ever, but I have no other choice but to warn people for Dr. Stanwix, what he did to me is devastating and he has taken no responsibility, he remains silent. I'm a massage therapist, avid hiker, and flew across country because I believed him when he told me that he was the best doctor for my procedure, that disfigurement doesn't happen in his hands, and I was impressed with his credentials and all the raving reviews (I now realize most are not real on the many review sites out there). I feel like I have been butchered, and 7 months later I am still in pain 24/7. He made false promises, didn't listen to me, lied in his operative report, and caused damage to my body beyond repair. I am truly heartbroken and would do anything to have my old body back. I will share my full story on the other sites sometime within the next weeks. I don't like to do this, but I hope my suffering can at least serve a purpose and be a blessing to you. Reply to Dr. Stanwix: based on the past I'm not surprised you try to discredit me. Sharing my experience with 100% honesty is not slander. And as you know the issue was always with the areas where you took fat for the reconstruction, not the breast. You haven't seen me after surgery, the pictures you speak of were taken by me and clearly show the many disfigurements (confirmed by several doctors). There was no offer to help, only silence. After reading your reply I'm even more concerned for your future patients

Being greeted by his big genuinely infectious smile and his compassionate calming demeanor always made me feel at ease. I felt more like I was just going to go visit one of my friends.
