Dr. Cohen is Truly an Artist: In January 2018 I received my breast cancer diagnosis. The best course of action for the type of breast cancer I had was a bilateral mastectomy. I had decided to go flat and not have breast reconstruction surgery. However, placement of the surgical scars were a major concern for me. I practice Kendo, which is Japanese sword fighting. I wear a chest protector because the area will be struck by a bamboo sword, so scar placement was very important to me. Dr. Cohen took my concerns into consideration when developing her approach to this type of surgery. The results, I could not be happier. To most people I know, they just think I lost weight. As for her staff, they were wonderful. They made me feel comfortable and at ease all the way through the surgical process. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cohen. I had gone to several consultations for breast reduction surgery and Dr. Cohen had the best bed side manner by far. I am an athlete and after the birth of my son by breasts sagged so much so that I had to wear two or three bras with I ran and when I wore a competition swimsuit my breasts were nearly compressed down to my belly button. Dr. Cohen listened to my concerns and she made sure we picked an athletic size breast reduction/lift that was proportionate to my body frame and the results are amazing. I feel so much better and confident and I look great. The front desk ladies and nurses in her office were all so kind, professional, knowledgeable and helpful also. I have had various surgeries throughout my life and this one was the easiest recovery. If I ever want another procedure I won’t hesitate to see Dr. Cohen again. It is good when a health care professional becomes a patient once in a while themselves... In Dr Cohen's modern practice I felt from the first moment on very welcomed. Her staff members are very friendly and professional. Dr Cohen is an extremely gifted plastic surgeon. I had to get some areas of my facial skin removed and Dr Cohen did this with her completely pain-free surgical technique, always during the process being concerned about the well-being of her patient. Dr Cohen is a truely passionate physician, very knowledgeable, has a gentle manner and takes plenty time to answer all questions coming up. Her suturing technique is so excellent - 4 weeks after the surgery- I barely can see that there is a scar in my face. I had no post surgical discomfort. I feel very well taken care by Dr Leslie Cohen. I wold not hesitate to refer Dr Cohen to my friends and family members.
