I had an umbilical float tummy tuck 4 months ago and I am so happy. I can't believe I walked around looking like I was 6 months pregnant for years. I was in the gym 4 times a week to work on my stomach. It didn't help! Then I went to see Dr. Hess and he explained that my muscles had separated( because of having 3 kids) and no amount of exercise was going to help the appearance of my stomach. Now I don't look pregnant anymore and my stomach looks normal.

I found Dr. Chris Hess in Fairfax, VA when I googled tummy tuck surgery. I first was totally impressed with the receptionist that answered the phone. Her name was Katie and she was so helpful. Every time I spoke with her she was so bubbly, helpful and sweet. When I arrived at Dr. Hess’s office for the first time Katie greeted me with a beautiful smile. Dr. Hess and his assistant Shelly were super nice. Dr. Hess takes his time with each patient and answers all questions and concerns. I had the tummy tuck surgery and it was such a success. I love my new look. It was worth every penny. The team at Dr. Hess’s gets a 5 star rating from me!

When I realized I had Breast Implant Illness and needed my implants removed, I looked for a plastic surgeon who not only could perform the surgery well, but also was sympathetic to the situation and agreed that getting an explant could help me. Dr. Hess was that surgeon. He was understanding, friendly, and knowledgable. He also saw the urgency and reserved an OR immediately (I called for a consult on a Wednesday, he got me in the next day for a consult, and I had the surgery on the next Monday). Throughout my healing process, he was available for any questions I had and I was able to go in and see him if necessary. I am now 3 months post op, feeling great, and very grateful for Dr. Hess and his team!

I love the results I get from Dr. Hess. I am at the age where my face looks weathered and aging without the use of Botox so I pop into Dr. Hess's office every-so-often, in a few minutes I am done and my face looks like it did 10 years ago after a few short days once the Botox Cosmetic takes effect. It takes a skilled hand and a knowledgable person to get the proper result. Dr. Hess does a wonderful job and I strongly recommend him. In addition to Botox, I plan to have him perform any plastic surgery I elect to have in the future.

If you are endlessly researching surgeons trying to select the right one for you, go no further! Dr. Hess performed abdominal surgery on me and his work is impeccable. And, beyond that, I am a bit of a hypochondriac and was highly anxious about every little thing during my recovery. Dr. Hess was incredibly comforting, answered my calls no matter the time of day, and could not have been more reassuring. I have never had surgery before and was so concerned about picking the right doctor. I did SO much research and met with multiple doctors. I could not be happier with my selection of Dr. Hess. I highly, highly recommend him. And the icing on the cake is that everyone on his team is incredibly responsive and kind.

Dr. Hess, his wife, and receptionist are awesome and friendly. His clinic is beautifully made and the atmosphere made me feel tranquil and comfortable. His consults/appointments are short, simple, and to the point, but he is more than happy to answer any questions or go over any concerns you have. He is also very straight forward, but also likes to joke and keep things light hearted. We shared a few laughs! He was not pushy and did not sway me in any way between choices that were given to me and he was great at making sure I was comfortable with the final decision for my augmentation. I had my augmentation 5 months ago and my recovery is going very well. I'd recommend him and would go to him again.

Great staff, start to finish! Dr. Hess has the most wonderful office; Calm and tranquil environment. He is straight to the point and professional - but at the same time, personal and takes his time with questions. I was amazed by how quickly everything was scheduled and taken care of. Several letters and discussions were done before hand to ensure I knew exactly what to expect. The pre-op was like a spa day, nurses and Doctors were so accommodating. I wouldn't trust anyone else! Dr. Hess listened to what I wanted and was able to explain how to improve upon it (little tweaks I didn't know were possible!) and the end result is perfect. Great doctor, very efficient, very competent of his surgical skill. Very direct and to the point , that is a good thing for me but he will go into details and explain things if you ask, we really like him and his staffs, very competent in their works. I'm a doctor and I'm really impress with his talent. Wife's wounds healed very well with very little surgical scar, sutures was done very well, recovery steps they taught us was great, I would definitely use Dr. Hess again. I was going to wait until I was further along in my healing process to write a review, but I need to share my feelings regarding Dr. Hess & his staff now, 11 days post-surgery. Dr. Hess is AMAZING!!!! Don't let anyone tell you differently. I was referred to Dr. Hess for an upper arm lift. Right off the bat, his prices are posted ON-LINE. No guessing on what your budget needs to be or getting your hopes up before the consultation, then realizing that the procedure is out of your budget. He puts it out there so you know what you are getting yourself into before you even call for a consultation. Nicole, the receptionist, is very sweet and kind. She has a welcoming personality, bright smile, and cheerful disposition. The office is clean, quiet, and relaxing. It feels as if you are in an upscale spa. There was virtually no wait time to be called into an exam room. Dr. Hess & his assistant, Shelly, made me feel incredibly comfortable within seconds of walking into the exam room. Dr. Hess is very professional with a quirky bedside manner. He made me laugh & put me at ease. He decided that I was an excellent candidate for a brachoiplasty. Nicole then came in with the price sheet, & yes, EXACTLY the price that was listed on the website. A week later, the anxiety started to creep in - what am I doing? Is this really necessary? Does it really have to come to this? I called the office & talked to Nicole, who assured me that what I was feeling is part of the normal process. A week later I had my pre-op appointment & had so much fun during the visit. Dr. Hess has a great sense of humor, like your favorite uncle, and Shelly is so compassionate, like a mother with a new born. Two days before surgery - anxiety is so high that I am having panic attacks & haven't slept in days. Part of this was due to my continued research on-line of brachioplasties (Do yourself a favor and just don't). I called the office & Shelly happened to answer the phone. She talked me off of the ledge, put me at ease, and asked me to please come in & see Dr. Hess one more time to go over every detail of the procedure. I was in there a few hours later & left feeling that this is going to be the best decision of my life so far. I have picked an amazing surgeon! Day of surgery, everything goes smoothly. Post-op appointment (4 days after surgery) - appointment went as expected. My interaction w/ Dr. Hess & Shelly (Nicole was on vacation) was just as pleasant as any other appointment. One week later (first day back to work) - I called the office in the morning to discuss a concern I had for my left incision. Nicole answers the phone & the first thing she said was that she had been thinking about me while she was on vacation & even checked in with Shelly to get an update on me. How sweet is that??? She runs my concern past Shelly & I am assured that I am healing just fine. Later that evening, I examine my incision before cleaning & it does not look good at all. I start to panic & call the after hours number. Dr. Hess is paged & I get a call, I kid you not, 3 minutes later. Instead of being told to just go to the ER, Dr. Hess looked at pictures of my incision & provided additional care instructions. Later that night the incision is (in my mind) 10 times worse & I email him back with all of my concerns. Within 10 minutes of the office opening the next day, Shelly has responded, letting me know that it is all normal. I still don't feel comfortable, so I call the office & Nicole tells me to go ahead & come in. Dr. Hess & Shelly examined me & said that YES, I am healing just fine. I just left that appointment & had to let everyone know of my experience. I am sure they will be hearing more from me over the next 6-8 weeks, but not once have I been made to feel like I am a bother or a drama queen or that I am undermining Dr. Hess's education & expertise. These are amazing people! Go to Dr. Hess!!!! He and his staff go above & beyond what you could possibly expect from anyone working in the healthcare field

I had plastic surgery on 03/27/15 worst decision ever. My agreement with Dr. Hess was for a full tummy tuck, to include liposuction, instead of the procedure for which I paid. Dr. Hess disregarded my wishes, and performed a different procedure, leaving me with saggy skin and fat. . During after care sessions, outrageously, Dr. Hess never informed me of that fact even after the surgery, especially in light of my obvious dissatisfaction. The last time I met with Dr. Hess was in August 2015. During our meeting he showed no compassion for my pain. I found his lack of empathy unbelievable. I am informed that my current condition can only be remedied through another surgery—a full tummy tuck—which, given my present condition, will carry additional risks: there may be complications in the healing process, I may not fully heal at all, and I could end-up with a deformed belly button. And it will cost me $7,715.. Additionally, my contract states if for any reason I am dissatisfied with my results, he would remediate them. As of December 2015, Dr. Hess has yet to remediate his doing. I asked for my credit back and left several messages alone with certified letters. He ignored them all, I made peace with my decision and little by little I learned to accept what my mirror reflects. I left my mind and body in his hand for seven hours, trusting him to accomplish what we had discussed. In lieu he took my money and left me deformed,

I made the decision to get a BA early this year. I just had my procedure last week. The entire experience has been unreal and I’m SO HAPPY I made the decision to go with Dr. Hess. When I started the process, I called around to local offices to chat with the staff and compare prices. Katie from Dr. Hess was so friendly that I decided I wanted to come in and meet with Dr. Hess. Dr. Hess was so knowledgeable about the procedure; it really made me feel like I was in great hands. I cancelled the consultations I made with other Doctors after meeting with Dr. Hess. A few weeks before booking my appt at the surgery center I went in to try on sizers to see what size implants I should get. I had a hard time making up my mind. I went and tried on different sizes twice before I finally made my decision. Everything happened pretty fast and as I’m writing this, I still can’t believe I had a BA last week! Dr. Hess always told me most of his patients recover pretty quickly, I didn’t really believe him. I even heard a story about someone shopping in the mall right after her surgery! I will have to say I am a total believer of his “Rapid Recovery” method. It was painful after surgery, but the pain meds helped me a lot. The next day I was off of pain killers and moving about. I drove to my post opp appt with him on my own and I went and did some xmas shopping! I’m very very happy with my new look! Even while I was at the surgical center waiting for my surgery, nurses kept on telling me how amazing Dr. Hess was! This is an experience that I will never forget and I cannot say how happy I am that I went with Dr. Hess. *I did not see this in any of the reviews/postings on BA and I wished someone had told me so I could prepare myself. The IV they put in you before surgery HURTS LIKE CRAZY! They put it on the top part of your hand, I was expecting to get it near my elbow like I had when I was preggo. The nursed messed up the first time and they had to do it again. Crazy painful, this had nothing to do with Dr. Hess though.

Had a consult with Dr. Hess for gynecomastia(male breast)surgery. Everyone in the office was super nice and made me feel at ease, like this was no big deal. Dr. Hess explained exactly what he would do and why he would do it this way. Make sure you do your research, not every one does the same surgery. I felt completely comfortable with Dr. Hess and scheduled my surgery 2 weeks later. I am now 6 months out from surgery and can’t believe the difference this surgery has made in my confidence and self esteem. I can now take off my shirt at the gym or at the pool and I don’t feel uncomfortable anymore. Thank you to Hess Plastic Surgery and Dr. Hess, you have changed my life for the better.

It has been 6 months since I had breast enhancement surgery and so far, I dislike the results. When I contacted Dr. Hess about a follow up and concern, his demeanor was extremely cold and very short almost as if he was too busy or didn't care. Never have I been treated this way by anyone! Also, if I were to do it all over again, I would find someone who was confident enough to do the procedure under arm. The wide scars under my breasts are an eye sore and have been taking a long time to heal. A friend of mine had her procedure done under the arm with a better surgeon and her results are amazing with little to no scarring! There are plenty of surgeons out there who are more skilled and professional. Do your research!

Maybe this review is going to be very long, but I have to write it. I went to visit dr Hess today after 4 years of my breast and mini tummy tuck surgery. First of all, I never got a courtesy call remind me that I had an appointment on nov. 17, 2017 and I asked Kate (the receptionist) after being with dr Hess for 5 minutes if not less, why? You don't do this anymore? And she responded...with existent patients we don't do that, but i clearly remember that I got a lot of calls before surgery and even after surgery a few years ago. I am wondering why they are not doing it anymore! does this sound weird to you out there? Is this a type of gang or what? I am thinking that the only thing they want from you is MONEY! NOTHING ELSE! It's all complot in this office! Well, I came to my appointment and when dr Hess and his assistant saw me were super disappointed because they knew that I was there to complain! And they were making ugly faces! And with question mark! Meaning...you again? Why are you here! And he took less than 5 minutes to tell me nothing! He didn't even check me! When I complained about the results of my tummy tuck (which I did before) first thing he said was, I told you, you CAN NOT get a flat stomach, and I am thinking to myself and in fact told him....why did I paid you so much money for? And he gave not a logic answer, and on top of everything my belly bottom looks terrible! By the way, I am a slender woman and have always weighted pretty much the same 116/118pounds my whole adult life and then he said in a sarcastic way...you should watch what you eat and not get any weight! I didn't get offended because as I said, I've been slender all my life, but now I am thinking he was probably thinking about himself because he really looks FAT! Like a whale to be specific! Probably eating like a pig with all the money he has been making with people like me or others! What a life! He is the first person that I have seen with no profesional ethics, no touch with people, very unprofessional, very arrogant and zero education! Maybe he is like this out of frustration? Never got to do what he really wanted in life therefore F others? I wish I can get an answer from God because from him didn't even get an apology! I hope he enjoys laughing about patients like me, but never forget "what goes around comes around" and one day you will pay for your mistakes! But to people out there! Watch out, do your research before trusting people like this unprofessional Dr! PS I could've given him ZERO stars but unfortunately that option doesn't exists! But he deserves zero if not below zero!
