Horrible. I went there to discuss Cool Sculpt I had been to a prior place where they told me I was the perfect candidate,. unfortunately they did not have the proper applicators. So I looked online and found this place (Dr, Mess), My arms are disproportionate large and have been since I was a teen and have been getting worse . And I am young enough that the skin should be flexible enough to recover. Two women walk in and proceed to fixate on my size and suggest dieting. Huh - never though of that. /sarc And that was the high point. Despite my relating my understanding of the process and what to expect for results, as a friend in the medical field has had several cool sculpt procedures, these two .... women .. decide that they knew better and since I am overweight, I cannot possible need targeted results. I asked about other options and the one was fixate on BMI and would not discuss options other that telling me to diet (her arms looked like she could have used the procedure so it almost felt like projection). They claimed the doctor would not help anyone is she thought their BMI was too high. So what only skinny people can have a targeted area that is out of whack? I called to complain and someone who had NOT been in the room tried to tell me what was said - when again she was not there. What a colossal waste of my time,

I came to Dr. Mess as a breast cancer patient, very scared, facing 1-2 years of difficult treatment. She immediately put me at ease. She worked with my breast surgeon during my double mastectomy/tissue expander surgery, making the transition to survivorship as easy as possible. She was always willing to take calls anytime and even met me at the office after hours for a couple of emergencies I had. My reconstructed breasts look amazing, and I elected a tummy tuck at the same time, which is a dream come true. Over the last year I've developed a great relationship with her and her wonderful staff, helping me to feel comfortable that Dr. Mess knows exactly what I want and works overtime to give me the best results. I will use her as my plastic surgeon as long as I need one!! She's the best!

Dr. Mess is a top notch surgeon! Her and her staff are AMAZING! They have all gone above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable about this whole process as possible. Dr. Mess was found on a google search while doing research on the internet. I went to a "chop shop" doctor first for a consultation. I felt very uncomfortable. The second i missed the appointment for some reason. While searching again i saw Dr. Mess again. I was intimidated by the fact she worked out of North West (I didn't really care for that facility at that time.) That is the reason I didn't choose her first. However, i am a three strikes you're out kind of person. I decided to give Dr. Mess a chance. If it didnt work with her I was giving up. I am so happy with my decision. I felt nervous for my consultation until i met Ginger, (Dr. Mess's nurse,) she made me feel right at home. Then, Dr. Mess did as well. The consultation felt like just that. Dr. Mess was aware that i was interested in different options. She gave me options and she didn't make me feel locked in. I didn't feel obligated to do anything and I felt completely comfortable with this practice. I highly reccomend Dr. Sarah Mess to anyone considering plastic surgery including my own family and friends! I am less than a week post surgery and loving my results already. I cannot wait to see it completely healed! Thank you Dr. Mess, you not only changed my self esteem, but you changed my life!

The five stars are strictly for Dr. Mess for her patience and technique. The staff is nice overall but there were moments I definitely could’ve done without them. One lady was too overwhelming regarding my deposit.. I had to put a deposit down to secure my surgery which was a no brainer to me so her comment “make sure pay so we don’t have to run you down” was quite annoying. Now Dr. Mess on the other hand did a phenomenal job.. I was a bit nervous because their was some chaos before the procedure but it was more so with her staff.. I don’t regret her operating on me one bit. She’s talented and highly educated. Thank you!

I went in for coolsculp , and the first thing the doc asked after I was taken back was "did the front desk collect"? That statement coming from a professional physician totally showed her true colors and greed. I went in for three sessions but I have since found another place for such services.

8/7/18 I made an appointment with Dr. Sarah Mess office knowing that I needed to lose weight. I was looking to have a consult regarding a breast reduction. I didn't realize that I had to be the perfect size before I could be seen. Dr. Mess nurse called and canceled my appointment due to me not meeting weight standards. When asked why she wouldn't be able to tell me that in person I was told that they charge by the hour for a consult and wanted to save me the money. FIRST, I can't stand when someone is disgustingly disrespectful to ANYONE but especially to the larger community. SECOND, just because you look at a chart doesn't give you the full story of a person. As long as Dr. Mess has persons working in her office that are extremely insensitive she will continue to have only "certain" body types walk through her door. Once I am ready to have my procedure I will be sure to contact a different office.

I highly recommend Dr. Mess! She has done two procedures on my face. She has an impeccable eye for detail and really looked closely at my facial structure on both surgeries. After the incredible results from my first surgery, I completely trusted Dr. Mess with performing a second procedure. Since both procedures were on my face, I was very concerned about scarring. Dr. Mess listened to my concerns by really analyzing my facial structure when applying sutures and advising me to use a topical silicone treatment to help reduce scarring. I could tell she really cared. I am so grateful to her for such fantastic results!! Additionally, all of the employees are very friendly, professional, and informative. In March, 2014 I had my consult with Dr. Mess for breast reduction surgery. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She has a very professional but down-to-earth demeanor. She has a wonderful spirit. I was glad I waited and decided to use her. I had my surgery in June, 2014. It was challenging to get the final insurance authorization and the office staff was wonderful with follow-up to make sure everything was in place. I am extremely happy with the results of the surgery and my healing process. I would highly recommend Dr. Mess. It has been a wonderful experience.

Dr. Sarah Mess is simply the best! She is bright, personable, honest, experienced and most importantly she truly cares about the welfare of her patient vs making money. I know this because I came into her office several months ago suggesting certain procedures which were clearly among the most expensive of all procedures offered. However, Dr. Mess suggested lesser invasive procedures which would yield the same results in less recovery time. It was always apparent during our consultation that Dr. Mess is vested in the health and overall wellbeing of her patients. Dr. Mess has also done a superb job in the selection of her stellar staff, as everyone offers phenomenal customer service to all patients. Additionally, Glenda is a wonderful phlebotomist as she takes time with her patients and her soft touch allows her to insert IVs, remove drains with minimal pain. Ginger is a delightful NP who welcomes me with a hug when I see her and the front desk staff always welcome patients with a smile. I highly recommend Dr. Sarah Mess if you want the best!

Dr. Sarah Mess is amazing! I recently had a liposuction surgery -the process from the consult to the actual surgery was smooth, everything she told me I would expect was accurate. She made her self available after my surgery to check on me, answer questions and even change my dressings. I am a few days post op and I am so happy with my results. Dr. Mess truly cares about her patients and it shows in her work. Her staff is very friendly as well as North West Hospital. I plan to use her again should I ever need/want any cosmetic procedures!

We were first introduced to Dr. MESS by the Howard County Breast Center when my wife was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The Breast Center gave us little choice even making the first appointment. Dr. MESS immediately put us at ease and explained everything As she spoke I looked at her diplomas nothing less than honors since high school, senior resident. Yes this was our doctor. As this was a multiple procedure Dr MESS soon became Sarah a friend. When the breast was done and my wife would see her other doctors that were amazed all asking "which one was removed, can we have our colleagues look". I can barely tell by touch, it is just a bit firmer than the other. When I needed some help with some non cancerous tumor on my face as far as I was concerned there is only one plastic surgeon I will allow near me or members of my family. I'm sure ther arevother competent plastic surgeon I will only allow Sarah near me.

Her work is impeccable and she has a great eye for detail. The staff at her practice is friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable in answering questions about procedures as well. I would highly recommend her practice to my closest friends and family, and anyone interested in getting some work done to help them feel better about themselves.

I had surgery under the care of Dr Mess nearly seven years ago. A resulting infection caused me to be hospitalized for nearly a week, undergoing four surgeries during that time. Over the course of her care my heart rate and blood pressure dropped. The resulting scar is horrificly large and I experience discomfort to this day. I wore a wound vac for for quite a while. Dr. Mess did not cover resulting costs. Infections happen, but numerous doctors said this was avoidable. As a result, I cannot recommend Dr. Mess. I do not feel Dr Mess's care over that time was anywhere near positive.

In December 2013, Dr. Mess performed liposuction on my thighs as well as a tummy tuck, which was done in conjunction with my hernia repair. I have to say that she did an amazing job! I am extremely happy with the results. She was very professional throughout the process. She listened very closely when I shared with her my concerns about the surgery as well as the results that I was seeking. She always welcomed my questions and tried to answer them very thoroughly. Dr. Mess also never made me feel rushed. She spent as much time with me as needed to explain the process and to address any questions or issues that I raised during my appointments. I think that Dr. Mess is definitely one of the best cosmetic surgeons around. I am more than pleased with the results of my recent surgery, and I would enthusiastically recommend her to my friends and family.

I had underarm laser hair removal today (1st session) and I would recommend Dr. Mess to everyone! The staff is pleasant and friendly! The staff member that did my laser hair removal was informative, tested my skin first, and then adjusted the settings just right for me. I didn't feel any pain during the actual procedure. After she was finished with one underarm I felt a small amount of stinging (which is normal) and a cool moist towel was applied to each area afterwards. The entire procedure for both underarms took about 15 minutes! Stinging went away after a few minutes and I'm feeling great! Can't wait for my next session!
